Hey Cindy, check out this site, they have lots of info there.
Hope your not too sore today. Sounds like it could have been worse?

Thanks LK, every muscle I move hurts ^_^ But I have to get this work done.
Hello ladies.
Donna, enjoy your mum's visit. She comes first ;) I'm sure Tony and Tristan will be all over her.
Well, thank God, you didn't fell off, Cindy! You got the smarts when it comes to Steve. Aha... that will make him prioritize and put you way up there ahead of his other distractions.
Pegi, I'm the same. Can easily trip over my own feet!! Have you planted your sweet peas yet?
Did you take it easy today LK? Hope you enjoy some relief from heat.
We kinda zonked out after church. Kel and I slept for 5 hours!!!!
The table was laden with goooooooooooood home cooking, except for our chicken!!! And the desserts... oh boy, if not for the insulin, I'd be dead by now :D
Something struck me as what DG has become to me.
I brought my 11 kitchen towels that I had embellished for a swap here, to the church, to show them off to a church sister, whom I'm very close to. In fact, she's my ONLY friend here in this town all these years.
So, the church ladies know I pretty much live a hermit's life.
When one asked who the towels were for, I told them they're for individuals in a swap. Some were puzzled and tried to figure out whether I do interact with more folks outside the home and church.
Until my church sister (bless her heart) piped up and said "Oh, her online buddies!"
Then it hit me. I never consider yourselves nor the 'swap' ladies, be they birdhouse or sewing, as online buddies. Especially those who frequent SI here.
To me, you are all real, flesh and blood, and my daily interaction with you are so important to me. You all give me the outlet to vent, praise, laugh.. do the normal girl things, even shopping (online, of course).
All these ladies are very kind ladies, and I'm sure if I find time to do the same with them, they can fill my need for basic human companionship.
But so far, since DG, I have never felt isolated. You all are my companions, even though the physical get together is lacking.
My real life is not pathetic after all. No I am not a hermit. I have you all^_^
Well dear Sistah, I hope I am flesh and blood as you have atleast seen me walking around!!! LOL I know what you mean. I don't interact with many of my neighbors, not that they don't talk with me when I am out but by choice. I just don't seem to have the same interest they do--with the exception of one across the street. I saw her yesterday and she ask what I did that my lights were on in the living room so late. Was I reading, watching tv or what? I told her about the swaps and before I knew it she ask if she could some see what I was doing before I mailed some. Her husband is sick and I think she is lonely and we do seem to have more in common--gardening. So we are sort of in the same boat, Jaye.
Besides, how could life be dull with Kel around? LOL
Stayed up way to late last night only to watch the 'Noles lose but I did enjoy the game. Took it easy most of the day.
Well, Maid M., our lives are never the same anymore since we've met you and Judy, Cookie, Deborah, Janice, Stacey, BJ, ..... Hence the need for an annual reunion if we can't do more.
Yep, seen you walking around in the flesh and running off with your pillow!! I'm missing the hugs and the talks and the laughter more!
Good for you! You'd be the little light in her life.
I'm still pulling weeds, if only our plants would have such strong roots. A lot of it is that awful grass that have roots that go on forever. So I'm not too late in sowing my seeds I put them in those peat pellets you add water to then plant seeds. At least I have them ready to set in the ground. Just can't do as much as I used to at one sitting. I think I have enough dug up for the sweet peas, but have to get the rest of the weeds out. Had a mini red rose that wasn't looking too good in the pot so I planted that next to a pink one that seems to be doing good. Now I wish I had more of that area cemented when we had the driveway put in, save me a lot more work. DH's idea and now I'M stuck with all the work.
Pegi, I'm a romantic at heart. Had envisioned a garden crowded with plants, with nary an area left to be mowed.
Looks like I have to give that up and admit defeat and let Kel has 'some' lawn!!!
Good night sistahs, body still needs more sleep.
Hello Ladies! What a cold, but lovely day today!
Cindy - I hope you're healing........ ouch on the falling off the ladder!!!
Well, tomorrow's our Thanksgiving, and no, we won't be having the 28 lb turkey Bob bought!! lol it's going in the freezer for Christmas.
Y'see, i can't invite all of you to my house, so I'm like most of you - a bit of a hermit. It'll just be the 2 of us for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. We'll be eating a lot of turkey over Christmas LOL
I asked Bob why having it at Christmas would be any different than us cooking it now, and he said "we'll have more days off to eat it at Christmastime" LOL
Well, whether it's Thanksgiving, or Columbus Day, I hope you all are having a wonderful long weekend!
Susan, hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving day.
Morning everyone! Coffee is on!
Good Morning Everyone,
I have Cinnamon Hazelnut coffee on. Need to finsih up outside today we are getting a huge rain storm come early tommorrow morning and high winds too. Gusts up 35 miles a hour. They are advising people with Halloween decos to take them down. And mom and I have to bowl tommorrow of things.
Cindy, gotta watch those wind gust, they can get nasty. Thanks for the coffee!
Jaye where are you? Hope your not sick in bed again?
I need me at least 3 cups of coffee this morning!
Thanks LK! Sorry Cindy, I'm not a cinnamon person.
Happy Canada Thanksgiving Susan! Bob's smart, you need lots of days to finish off a whole turkey between the two of you.
Did you sing at church.. forgot to ask you that! Yesterday we had a guest singer who has Tourette's (sp) syndrome and she gave an awesome performance. I thought about you, not the illness, but thinking maybe she sings as good as you.
Don't understand Columbus Day. When I was young, I always wondered why history celebrates Columbus 'discovery' of America, when the Native Indians were already inhabiting this land. Don't you discover a continent that's empty and then populate it?
Anyway, it's good to get an extra holiday!
Now, they need to declare a national holiday for Mardi Gras!!
Not sick today. Lots of rest, head is clear. How about that? So, I'll be doing the first phase of the tote today. That is cutting. Hope it turns as good as yours LK and Judy's. Been changing my mind on the fabric, so I may do 2 and decide which will do-------------if I have enough time :D Yah, I live on stress!!
Cindy, don't you get out in that weather condition. 35 miles per hour can even bring down a tall concrete statuary if not anchored right.
So was Steve remorseful today?
Judy... how's your weekend? House's full? What's next on your list to do...wait.. got to be the Christmas thingy! I know you will have lots of inspirations.
My church sister has offered to give me some little bitty birdhouses, so that's a start.
I need prayers sistahs. Have a doctor's appt. Thursday. Please pray that my diabetes check up goes well and no other specialists appointments. Been going through some health-related challenges besides mental, so if you have any extra prayers, direct them to me please.
Let's have a wonderful Monday!
LOL, I have not talked to him yet today. He sent me a text last night saying that his dr. appt was good. EKG and BP good. His laptop is in the shop so he has to go to his mom's to get on the pc so we can chat. So I probably won't hear from him until later this afternoon. I did get an email from Dave concerning our fishing trip. I had told him I was free for Saturday but as it turns out I'm not. So I told him I was free for Sunday but he said that he didn't get all of his work done over the weekend and had commited to Sunday. I told him not to change his plans that there is always another weekend. So I'm waiting to hear back from him. If any of you ladies are interested in some Belladonna Lilies let me know.
On my list Jaye. Let's see now, Susan has the big turkey and I will be having nicer weather. Maybe she should just bring the turkey south. LOL Jaye you and Kel could come on down and we could then party.
Back to my painting!
I went to Lisa's over the weekend, and while I was there, I bought a HUGE cutting mat and a new rotary cutter! I gave almost $30.00 for the mat, but the cutter was on sale. Now if I ever get through with these projects I'm working on, I can do my flannel quilt!
I just got on facebook, and I still don't know how to do it, yet!
Good Morning!
I haven't caught up, we just got out of a staff meeting and it's almost my lunch time. I thought I was in a good mood but now I'm mad, so apparently having mood swings, oh well. It's 55 degrees outside and the whole building has heat except for our floor, which is kinda odd since Ms. Cheerful's husband works in the maintenance dept for the building. Seems he's been working on it for 2 weeks now and is filling up the boilers, since he got here at 6:30am. I have a feeling someone is full of crap. We have our big conference this week and some people are trying to get too much done and others aren't doing anything, I have nothing to do with it other than work at it so whatever, I'll just do my thing :)
So NOAA said it was going to be sunny and 65* on Saturday so me and Dave went to the State Fair! Had a great time, conned him out of some food and a $20.00 ring! LOL We spent $60.00 total, not bad even though it never did get sunny, the wind never did quit blowing, and it never got above 54*. Same for Sunday, supposed to be sunny and 65*, NOT!! I didn't even get out of my pj's Sunday. It's raining all week too.
Man I'm hungry. I was told that on Thursday at the conference I wasn't going to be able to eat until at least 1:00pm, that's funny because I'm Hypoglycemic, uuuhhhh not a good idea.
Susan hope you had a good Thanksgiving! Me and Dave always celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas by ourselves too, it's easier and more fun! :)
Catching up a little now, Cindy that's too funny making Steve wait, as you should, you need him in your ball court, not you in his. You go Girl! Bum about the fishing trip with Dave, life keeps getting in the way... I guess it's better than not having a life LOL
I'm afraid of heights so I don't do ladders.
Jaye that's too sweet! Glad you're feeling better today. I have all of you and that's about it! Have tons of friends in CA but they're in CA and don't seem to interested in coming here, so again, whatever.
Audrey just click on links, fill out information, and you'll figure it out, it's easy.
Gotta go, time for lunch!!
Looked at my sweet peas in their little peat pots and I see some tiny green showing through. I know they will like it better once they are in the ground.
Looks like another cool day and will enjoy it. Didn't sleep well last night, how I hate trying to get to sleep and it just never happens. I think that goes along with growing older, no wonder so many of us seniors take short naps during the day.
Hoping to get to my thrift store today and see what they have to offer that I really DO NOT need. It is amazing what some people give away. So much Christmas things have been on the shelves for a long time. I can't seem to part with any of mine, so many memories I don't care to part with.
Hope everyone is having a good day/Holiday/whatever day!
Prayers that all go well with your appointments Jaye.
We had a very good friend who was about 15 years older than us....we rode bikes together for years, hiked together, he and his boys were the first non family visitors when my daughter was born...he was a Rhodes Scholar, College Professor, loved the outdoors. He had heart problems, cancer and many other health problems over the past several years and had moved to Arizona. We just received word that David passed away in late September. It is a blessing that he is finally free of so much pain, but many, many people will miss him.
We are supposed to get rain and high winds tomorrow....so todays project is get the last of the outside stuff put away.....guess I should get started.
Nope didn't sing at church, Jaye - I had waited until Saturday afternoon to ask, and their program was full - being thanksgiving service and all.....
The choir director does like my choice for another song for the whole choir & children to sing - "Tell Me the Story" It's an old, sweet, children's song.
Oh - funny thing - there were no children in church on Sunday (no, that's not the funny thing LOL they were likely over @ relatives having an early Thanksgiving dinner lol), so our pastor asked if anyone would like to be "children". Well........ you Know who was one of the 1st to be her inner child LOL ME I went down and tugged on the story teller's sleeve and asked her to "tell me a story..." She brought colouring pages, with the children's song on it, and fresh-from-the-tree apples.....yummmmmmm They picked them from her sister's tree.
It was fun being my inner child. As it says "you must be like a child to enter the Kingdom on God" I think I have that one down PAT!! (except for the worrier in me.......still working on that lol)
~Susan~
Did you miss me???????
I've been busy with parties and putting gardens and the pond to bed. Still have several things that need to come inside. I was digging bulbs and corms today and they are drying now.
I went to a Partylite party on Friday evening, then to Luke's soccer tournament on Saturday morning and a Pampered Chef party on Saturday afternoon. Took myself to the Sauerkraut Festival yesterday. Just been busy!!!
Wanted to share this picture of my DD, Lisa, DGS, Luke and DGD, Jordyn from the walk.
I love my sistahs, and wish I could give you all a big ole HUG (I'm a huggie person lol)
I miss you when I don't see you, and like sisters (I have 3 irl...in another city) don't talk to you everyday, but I DO talk to you more than I do my irl sisters lol
~Susan~
Joyce!! There you are!! I missed u :)
All of the Huggers say 'I'
(((((((((
"I" ^_^
"I" lol (think you guessed that already!)
I I I I
Now Maid M., if we could, we would! Would love to 'party' with you and who knows, maybe one Thanksgiving we'd spend it in Florida!!
Are you through with painting and the 'building'?
Awwww Crissy... no bad moments for you please. Bring you a wrap or a light sweater tomorrow, or better still, a small ceramic heater. Start sneezing more! They'll get the message.
As for that delayed lunch, bring some hard candy at the meeting. Don't want you to pass out.
Audrey, how big is the mat? You won't regret it.
Once you figured out Facebook, you'd be surprised how many DGers are on there!!!!
Not easy to part with things that has sentimental values, Pegi. We're both alike. I too have boxes of memories, and I think when I hit 60, I'll start saying goodbye to them.
Wish I'm like my MIL who easily gets rid of 'clutter'.
(((((((((((((((Trisha)))))))))))))))) I feel your lost. A Rhodes scholar? He's brilliant and I'm sure a great conversationalist. You'll remember him for his contribution to yours and Bill's lives in making happy moments. One more assurance of heaven, no pain.
Hehehehe.. Susan, you must have been the biggest kid!!! No kidding!!!
At the homecoming dinner, Kel and I sat with kids! It wasn't intentional. We sat at this empty round table while all the other adults already grouped themselves at other tables..... and all of a sudden about 5 kids sat with us!! Got to be Kel's kiddy charisma ;)
Easiest conversation ever.. if you can tolerate the kicking of table legs now and then!
Of course we miss you Cookie! Now answer this.. what's a Partylite and Pampered Chef? You know I live in the boondocks, never heard of that!
I can imagine you laughing away whatever you're doing, like you did at BJ's!!!
Beautiful family... Jordyn's certainly lucky to have such wonderful support from y'all.
Hey LK!!!!! Yooohooooo!!!!! Are you out in the rain??
It's raining here and the weather has dipped in the 70's.
One of our older rescues, Minoux, who has lived with us for 3 years, left home :( She's one that would not go close to the door when it's opened, and all of a sudden today, she decided to bolt off! Bad part is she's very skittish and she doesn't come to us, always hiding.
Sad day.. but I leave her to Jesus, and hope she returns.
Well, I'm back to sewing the first tote. Last time I sewed one was for Trisha. Memories slowly returning to help out :D
Barb....Juanita...Bonnie...Deborah...Linda....Synda... Sis Kathy....
woohooo....
can't call out Donna.. she has mum!
Partylite is a candle party. They have dishes and some linens now, too. I split a box of candles with my friends' daughter. Neither one of us could afford the whole box. I got a Holiday scent and it is wonderful. Their candles burn so beautifully. The Pampered Chef is a kitchen gadget/tool/vessel party. I have several of their things and they are made wonderfully well. I probably use my pizza stone or my chopper the most of all that I have. I didn't buy anything at that party, but my friend booked a show and I'll get something when she has hers. There were many, many things that I would have liked to have, but finances just wouldn't allow it.
Did you like Abbisgranma's picture?
Don't forget BJ!!
Yep! That's our girl!
I know if I had unlimited $$s I'd have everything they offer!
Oh that is horrible!!! All the really bad pictures are surfacing now---is this blackmail? My picture--not Cookie's--I like that one also.
Yes, I have the painting done in the utility room, new cabinets together and installed. Transferring items from the smaller pantry now--going back to my sewing cabinet like it was originally planned to be. Found some items for the goodwill box--they has gotten "shoved" into the back of the cabinet and I hadn't noticed them. Gone now--well in a box to go.
It has been threaten to rain all day but so far only 4 drops!! Humidity is horrible outside even working under the shade of the carport. Had to take a break and come inside.

Where is BJ???
I love Partylite, I had a bunch of their stuff, a crystal lamp, countless candle holders, 3 boxes of candles, I haven't been able to find any of it since we moved, and Dave said there's no more boxes in the attic. It either got stolen in his cousin's storage or it was thrown away.
We've had to wear sweaters in here for the past 6 months because of the air conditioner being on too high, now we don't have heat. I have a sweater on, and a zip up hooded sweatshirt on over that. My fingers, toes, and nose are so cold their numb, and I need to go home before I get really mad at stupidity. Sorry.
Hmmm... psst.. Marion, I have another of yours that I think I'd reconsider posting if the offer's good! LOLOL!!
No Marion, they're great pictures! The true you surface, and who could forget your arrival! There you were announcing yourself at the top of the stairs!!!
Grand entrance indeed..and you know you're THE livewire!!!
^_^ Wasn't that gazebo the greatest? I could have slept out there!
Ah, no I really didn't think I a "live wire" but..... I ain't dead yet either. LOL
LOL!!
For sure we can verify that, Maid M!!! ROFL!!!!
Yah, the reason that gazebo was memorable, was because the of the ladies in it, Cookie!
Hello everyone. I am here, and I say, "I" too for being a hugger! ^_^
Just taking it easy today, as Todd had the day off work. Just sitting out back, watching all the birds come in to feed. Never thought I would be a old lady sitting on the porch birdwatching!
