Someone showed horseshoes welded together to form a sunflower. I can't remember if it was in garden art or T2T, but sure was neat. No welder around here or horseshoes so I'm out of luck there.

Fog finally lifted and the sun is out now. Have a bunch of Kentucky Iris to get planted and need to bring in the tomatoes...we are starting to get some cold night temps...guess I need to get the rest of the house plants in also...
Son is coming over to work in the shop this afternoon, have a few Heavy projects that I need to get ready so that maybe he can help move them.
None of it is going to do itself so guess I should get to work...talk to you all later.
Good Afternoon.
Wow, your fall season is just as busy as spring!
Cindy, thats quite the work you've done, It's looking real pretty. I enjoyed seeing the iris beds.
I am glad your growing colors year round, like that. It will be wonderful to see in the new season.
Marion, Woohoo, so glad to have your carport back? LOL, I feel the same about my foyer, lolol.
Hey, was glad to hear that cabinet/cutter worked out for you!
Wow, nice weather your having, (hope your cooled down now...Have chilled tea i hope.
Samigirl, glad your getting weeds done, I am still watching mine grow.
smiling big at that horseshoe sunflower! What a cool idea.
Well, hot diggity!! Finished my tote...
On to the next swap.
It's been rainy and chilly all day, nice day to work indoors.
Well I'm finally getting that second date with Dave ^_^ we are going fishing next weekend. He fishs in the rivers and I have never done that and he is taking me to his favorite spot ^_^. Wonder how secluded it is, LOL.
My mom I swear!!! I mentioned that I was going to cut down the dead apple tree( you can see it in the pix above far right). Next thing I know she's got her little electric chain saw out cutting it down, lol. And she left a mess in the yard said I had to do the rest Oh no I told her you cut it down you cut it up and clean up, LOL!!!!

My o my so much work being done out in everyones gardens lately.. We finished up the project today and if I must say so Im very proud.. I had neighbors standing around going wow thats cool.. One lady said I need to come fix her house but she hates flowers so I grinned and said I could do a dry river bed _ she has a small area_ and she said to figure out what it would cost and laughed.. I dont think she was serious but I have ideas for her already.. You never know..
Cindy you yard looks fabulous! That last one reminds me of my mom in a few years.. Everything is electric for her at home but she loves to work outside.. Its a shame it will be cold while shes here I could really let her play in real dirt not sand..
Trisha what is an Kentucky Iris?
Marion I bet you feel great.. I always loved projects like those when all is done you have so much more room.. Even better I bet it looks great!
Seedtosser Im notorious for Bear Huiggs.. Its the only kind to give in my family and we have a big family.. Sometimes it just what the doctor ordered..
Well I better go the kids are getting restless. I will try to get pics up but my pc is teh one with the card reader.. Grrrr

Hey Donna, one question for you????? Are you ever going to learn how to spell "the", LOL ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ ^_^. I think I gave you a bad time with this once before ^_^
O probably not.. LOL I think I can spell THE.. Just get into a hurry typing..
Kentucky Iris are a whole big box of Iris I just received from a DG friend in KY....lol!
LOL You are too funny.. Though I have been known to name plants from who sent them myself.. I just discovered irises and thought it was one I hadnt heard of.. Grin
Hello everyone. Hope you all did not work too hard today, but it looks like you did work hard. Mom cutting down a tree, girls digging in the dirt, planting new beds, and digging weeds.
Jaye are you over your crud? I sure hope so? How are the new fur babies doing?
Well, I just wanted to say I am back. We had a great visit with Todd's Sister.
First one up in the morning, makes the coffee please?
LK
and the end result for the front.. I will get new picture of the bed around teh porch tomorrow as long as its not raining..
She came home and said shes having all her girlfriends over tomorrow to look at it after work so hopefull one of them likes it enough to ask us to do it for them..
Im headed off to bed so I can get an early start in the morning..

Donna
looking good Donna!
well, I'm still dancing from all the great tunes on here. but now it's bedtime. Ruth Jean went out with her best GF for dinner tonight, it's GF's b'day. so Randall took me out for Chimichungas and a margarita. and now, gotta hit the hay, on accounta I'm crashin'. no late night or sleep problems for me!
am so way behind on my reading here that I'm just gonna say hello to everyone and put a blanket prayer in for y'all tonight.
sweet dreams sweet sisters. and, yes, I'm out in the iris patch again tomorrow. it's getting too cold, gotta hurry.
Good morning sistahs.
Yes LK, I got the coffee. Also a good breakfast of just plain omellettes and wheat toasts.
Nice to read the plans you all have to make the earth more beautiful.
Donna, it takes a Floridian to show an Ohioan neighborhood how to enjoy their garden space ;) Good job Donna. Hope you get more interests.
No irises this year for me Trisha. Imagine when they start blooming, you'll have plenty of subjects to paint.
Bonnie, don't over do it! Getting cold over there? Supposed to hit the 90's here! And I'm congested again :(
Cindy, I won't worry about 'seclusion' now. Enjoy the fishing!!! You hinted enough for a second date.. reserve that thought for the 4th date!!! Lolol!!
Well Judy, you're a fast worker. If you finished that tote.. dmail me a pic. Almost all the swappers are through with their totes and some already mailed. Think this time, Maid M will beat me to the deadline!!
Maid M., how's your mama? Hope she has improved some. Your hands are really tied when it comes to taking care of her. Hope your sister follows doctors' orders once your mum's released.
LK, did I tell you we have 3 new rescues now? There's Possum, who's blind, Farrah and the latest one, Silver. As long as we're able, they get the best care here.
Almost that time for Merlin and Dallas to be neutered! Poor guys won't miss anything!
I couldn't do much yesterday as I was on the road most of the time. When we got back last night, body was so tired that I crashed right away, not even changing into pjs.
So I'll do a Barb today. Discipline myself into sewing the rest of the towels.
Talk of sewing... I got good news.
The quilting shop where I got the Viking 3 months ago, decided to swap it with a brand new one. She says there's no sense in trying to replace the motherboard, and moreover, she rather treats her loyal customer (moi) right! I didn't even press her into doing that understanding that it's already 3 months old, but bless her heart.. she felt so bad that I'm the only customer that got a 'bum' machine. Murphy's Law follows this gal too!
Gonna do my regular chores first.. so you all have a fantabulous Friday!
Jaye, I so laughed at that "So I'll do a Barb today"!!!! I'm so undisiplined when it comes to getting things done. The sewing things I do just fine but I sure do let the rest flounder. My windows need washing and my curtains need changing and my cat needs a diet as do I. I have a long list of things I really should be doing but I play at this computer and the sewing machine too much. My motto lately has been "Play today - other tomorrow"--- And of course tomorrow never comes.....
Morning Jaye, thanks for the breakfast!
Really nice and cool here this morning. 66 degrees. We sat out this morning and tried to see the impact of the crash into the moon, but could not see it from here. They said it went really well on the news, so I will wait and see in on the tv.
Donna, love the landscaping you did! What are the plants you placed in it? Love the red mulch too! Hope you get many more jobs from it!
Hey Bon, how did you sleep last night? Hope you had nice sweet dreams!
T.G.I.F.!
Ooops.... it's Juanita's b'day today!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUANITA!!!
Hope you get to play on your b'day. Wishing you prosperity, great health and lots of laughter!
Love you!
Barb, it's getting harder to get myself motivated when my body doesn't want to co-operate!
But lately just reading how you had finished your swap projects earlier, kinda goaded me to do likewise.. so that's a good thing.. right? Unfortunately, those weeks of being ill truly put a damper on the word "Finished"!
Thanks guys! Did another dumb thing yesterday that resulted in falling off the mower trailer onto the gravel. I am not doing well this morning. Have a chiro appointment at noon and hopefully that will help. I have got to slow down or I am going to kill myself yet.
Jaye post some pics of the fur babies when you get a chance. I was dreaming of kittens last night after I finally got to sleep.
Much to do today as always. No play time for me until later in the weekend , maybe.
Can anyone tell me whatthis is? I have 8 of them. I found them in a box I was going through. I have no clue? What are they, what can I do with them? It has one flat side, with ahole, that may be for hanging against the wall? then it had two other small holes, like something may hang from it? It looks like it may be brass, but not for sure?
Juanita, you got to be careful please. We don't need you all bruised, and sore! Take a nice hot bath, that may help.
Yay Cindy, you've got to tell us about your fishing trip with Dave when you go, hopefully he won't pull a Steve and cancel for some lame reason. Steve is kinda seeming like a 'wanna be.' I wanna be a biker but I'm not, I wanna be a fisherman but I'm not, I wanna be a ladies man but I'm not LOL Sorry, had a little flail there :)
I think I put my contacts in the wrong eyes this morning LOL
Good morning!
Happy Birthday Juanita..Sending gentle hugs for you.
Geesh, looks awfully small LK. but i was also thinking some kind of hook.
Sinse there are 8, maybe they were braces for a small table???
Oh Coffee's brewing and getting ready to make some breakfast...
how does egg and cheese sandwich sound?
Oh yippee, Glad you got that second date...Hope you catch the big one, hehehe.
Wow, you have really done lots of work Cindy...looks great!
Donna, i hear you on the Bear hugs, my family was much the same, always nice to receive them and I especially love to give them, lol...call mine armwraps.
Speaking of which, woohoo brother should arrive early this afternoon!! Be usre to get my bear hug from him...mighty antsy waiting on their arrival.
So will pop in when I can.
Have a good day, stay warm and or cool!
i got losted!!!!! y'all moved without me
I just ate the cookie crumbs Kathy, Sorry next time I guess we should use gravel so you can follow us. LOL
Happy Birthday Juanita. Please take it easy until you recover from the fall. Not a way to spend a birthday!!!
Thanks for breakfast ladies but I got up way earlier and got some things finished before getting on the computer. Hummm, I see today computers habits are linked to depression. Do you really think so?
Jaye, Mom is going to be released today but is weak, no surprise. She might have to have oxygen with her but won't know until sister calls back later. The good news is my sister has decided to cut way back on her work hours and even mentioned seeing if Mom would like to come up here for Thanksgiving. Boy, that is a change!! Time will tell.Well, I guess I am off to check out dishwashers. Yes, I know I have one on the end of each arm but that takes time away from other things that are fun. I have tried all the things suggested and it appears mine is just on it's way out.
Everyone take care and have fun with what ever you are doing today.
Morning Ladies,
Yea Crissy, I think you're right about Steve. I haven't heard from him in a day usaually he texts me every day or night. Dave won't cancell unless it rains which we are suppose to get starting Monday night.
I had a great work out at Curves, burned 645 calories, did 100% on all but 1 machine, and had my weigh in.....9 pounds and 6 inches lost since May 19. This was my first weigh at the new place. YIPPIE!!!!!!
Heading back outside to work some more, pruned some azealias so I need to get them in the ground.
(((((((((((Juanita)))))))))))) Bummer!! Hope the chiro will be able to 'realign' you ;) Will take pics of the new ones as soon as we get batteries. Possum's not that scary looking anymore, only a mama can love her.
LK, that looks like an old time fishing hook.
Judy, the way you are, I know you'll kill your brother with all that loving!!!
So, what's cooking at the Sutter home? Anything special for bro?
Thanks for making me so jealous of that 'tote'. Yeah, do Breenie one, I bet she'd love a black and white one.
Crissy, you're too astute!! Great observer! Cindy if you're reading this, I agree. Seems like Steve has a lot of excuses. Oh well, hope he works towards eradicating some unnecessary history.
Sister Kathy!!! Honeymoon's over? No way you can lost us!! Didn't you smell the gumbo? Getting ready for that big game Saturday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUANITA!!!!! Take care since that fall, falling off a mower isn't a good thing, let alone falling onto gravel. Hope the chiro can help.
Marion I've never heard anything so ridiculous. Anyone who knows me knows I'm happy. What could we do without getting on a computer?
Well Jaye it just reminds me of someone, "I was going to do that" when she sees someone doing something that she's supposed to do but hasn't in hours. I swear she "was going to be" queen of England. If you "were going to do that" it would have been done 5 hours later. I have a feeling that Cindy doesn't want excuses, she wants results! LOL
OK...Marion, I am glad to Hear your mom is going home today.
Sometimes being home is the better place to heal. So I hope that happens quickly.
Oh my Gosh, I will keep my fingers crossed for her coming to you for Thanksgiving! Sounds like a treat for you.
So what are you working on these days?
OH, yeah, forgot before, Cindy...OH MY Gosh, What a cutie your mom is with her little saw! I am going to show my brother, he will love it because he is tree man and he will just smile up a storm at you mom.
Jaye, lol...but you wanted to see! LOL, yep Breenie probably would like black and white...or something..Her current bag is a big mess, can't even mend it anymore!
Far as dinner, hmmm quite the dilemma, today is a very odd kind of day, everyone is on a revolving schedual! I don't think everyone will be here at one time until late tonight! So, I am thinking to make it simple and have meatloaf, lol they can help themseles as they trickle in.
OK, laundry almost done, dishes done and kitchen put back together, fire going, sigh...now what?
LOL, guess I'll go stare at my ornament and get a vision, hmmmm.
LOL, you got that right Crissy!!!! I've decided that if Steve really wants to see me, he knows where I live and has my cell #. So I'm now working towards Dave, he has offered to come split the fire wood so I think after we go fishing I will ask him and then fix him a good meal. Isn't a way to a man's heart through his stomache? LOL
geeze Judy, you're done with your house work and I haven't even made it outside yet to finish up.
Afternoon everyone
Happy Birthday Juanita! ! !
Thank you for all your kind comments on our landscaping efforts for the neighbor. As for plants mostly I used what was existing but trimmed them for the first time in years along witha few others I had grown and a few I bought at lowes for extra pop.. The first bed on the side of the house has a peony dead center with russian sage on each side along with hosta for accent and a few lambs ears I found floating through her yard... The front bed I pulled everything out and replanted after trimming 3 spirea, hostas and 2 lavendar asters I found at lowes for 50% off..
The porch wrap has a few spirea, 2 roses and a few more hosta along with some dwarf Iris she bought from me that I had saved from a landscape at a friends house.. Cant waitto post those pics after it stops raining..
Cant stay and chat but will check back in later.. My lunch break is about over and I have to get ready for mom tomorrow...
Huggs
Donna
I went to face book and did that "Day You Were Born" thing, this is what it said about me:
Loyal, loving and energetic partner for whom romance is important. Your relationships must be varied to interest you, LOL . Dave and Steve are as different as night and day. Also said I was imaginative, charming, quick witted, and vivacious. VIVACIOUS, lol that I am not by a long ways
LOL, Cindy...I have been up since before the sun!
Well daylight anyway.
Got a real early start to help pass the time...kind of hate finishing before they arrive, cuz now i am just pacing, checking the window, lol.
All the garden work everyone is doing is great, I am hoping to get out tomorrow, suppose to be pretty nice day, keeping fingers crossed for that!
So i hope you get to do all you want outside today...
Those hooks are 7 inches long, one person on the trash to treasure site, said they may be to an old chandelier? Still don't know how they worked?
Maid M., to answer your question whether computer habits link to depression, I agree with Cindy. Too ridiculous.
As in my case, I'm hooked to only DG and eBay :D Don't see the wisdom in FB, only for social networking and as you know, very rarely I get on. I know I'm depress when my 'net went bonkers!! No relief from mundane daily chores here.
Nope.. it's how you utilize your time on the 'net ;)
By the way... if I'm depress, isn't it safer online then off to a local bar...
Donna, if you're here, I'll hire you in a heartbeat!! With your expertise, I know you can turn any yards into beautiful gardens ;)
Judy, meatloaf should be a winner. Kel's bringing his dad for CTscans, and I know he'd want to eat something substantial tonight. Thinking of penne pasta with some baked chicken.. or easier still.. order take-out!!
Cindy, me think you are vivacious! Look at the way you handle yourself with the men. And you do look vivacious.
LK, you might have to get your question answered by bringing it to an antique store.
AW Jaye, Thank You, you too sweet.
did i hear GUMBO? YUM YUM
