I once bought like 40 bulbs for a low price. They were very tiny. I don't know if they would have produced anything by the second year! Size matters! lol

lol...unfortunately sometimes with bulbs it really does...I can't believe I forgot those ones were out there and needed dug up! but it has been very busy.

you know what I just thought of...If I can overwinter the tubers of the various sweet potato vines I have that would eliminate 7 houseplants and I can store the 5 (probably more by now) that I planted outside that would definately save me money next year on the garden and free up some much needed pots in the house....I wonder what else I can store like that, to save both money and space inside the house

yeah 7 of them I have I think 5 different varietes I had 2 that said they were blackie but they have heart shaped leaves and are red....definately red
that cute green and white verigated one
2 that have the lobed leaves like blakie but they are marbled shades of red
blackie of course
and green with heart shaped leaves

the little green and white are may favorite though....it doesn't get huge like the others...the leaves the vine all of it stays dainty and small kinda like a nice ivy but with better coloring

Dump one out and see if you have a tuber.

i am going to tomorrow, i wonder if there is a list out there that tells you all the plants you can store like that for winter

no not really, i wanted too, but hubby was very restless and I'm too light of a sleeper

oh look, what a suprise, we have rain, again! hopefully it will be like yesterday and clear up by noon, I have a LOT to do outside still before it gets too cold!

Tell me about it. Whenever it's nice out, there's something at work that prevents me from taking a day off. Or it's rainy on Sunday. I still have lots of mulch to spread around, and some other stuff needs TLC...
