Keaau, HI

We get more than 200 inches of rain per year. More than most places on Earth! Rainfall varies greatly in Hawai'i depending on where you are located. In windward populated areas there's around 100 to 200 inches per year. In leeward areas, 10 to 50 inches per year. Montane windward rainforests get over 400 inches of rain per year.

Our coolest winters temperatures get into the mid-50's at night.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

I'll send you our weather Dave. We are 20 degrees below normal and they are talking about snow showers.................
Didn't we just start fall?
Looks like winter is close behind it :-(

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Dave its up to you to keep us fed with pretty plants for next few months as their is not a blooming thing going on here, get it bloomin thing??? We will send y;ou Cold Christmas decorations and snow pictures.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Good Morning Flowers!

We have the wind here too. Gusts up to 50mph. And "Lake Effect Rain".

It's not me who gets the bogus checks, it's unsuspecting people. And thanks for the reminder-I have to go online & check the account every day. Where I work, there are bogus checks getting passed through our account. Someone must have gotten a hold of one of our checks, we figure it must have been at a vendor or a bank. They made their own checks for $4562.00 and $3630.00, and send them to unsuspecting people who are told they either won the lottery or signed up to be a mystery shopper. So they are supposed to deposit the check and send a major portion of it back to the company that sent it to them (not us). So if they do that, by the time the check gets returned to their unsuspecting account, they're out double.

We've had some smart people contact us first, and we tell them it's counterfeit. Some people have sent them to us, you can tell they're no good - scanned logo, scanned signature, thin paper.

Let the buyer beware!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Good Morning to you Venice! Hope you slept well and are feeling tip top today

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Morning everyone! Hope you all are doing fine.

I once got a weird check from something I was selling on ebay before he even received what I was selling. I took it to my bank and they said it was bogus at first glance!

Finally got a guy here to carry those plants from my car. Now for some breakfast and I will be off to get those pots and seeds trays.

Later!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good morning all. Lynn, Hope your FIL recovers quickly...glad the damage was limited.

Flowers, thanks for keeping Smiley on her toes with the bank account...grin

Smiley, how is it after all the "something for nothing scams" that have been reported and covered and recovered in the media, people still think something for nothing is legit? Inherent greed? or Inherent stupidity? Seems they both run rampant nowdays.

Hey Venice, glad you got your plants moved. Cool on getting the stuff from Freecycle.

Power has been off a couple times this AM, transformer malfunctions somewhere.....no power/no cpu....grin

According to the weather folks, we have showers predicted for everyday through Monday....."oil me....squeak...oil can"

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

lol Moon...just dropping by real quick got errands to run.....I see eveyone got up on time.....Dave that's alot of rain!....although I guess it would be good if you were catching all that rainwater....That was my only purchase for gardening next year, rainwater barrels...BF thought I was nuts until he saw how they operate and what they do.....wonders if putting them out to catch the snow would help with the plants and the pool next year

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Hey moon, bones and joints are screaming at me today must be weather related. Want to do nothing but that just can't happen so off to getter done Keep the umbrella by the door it can't last forever.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

FYI men live longer in Italy because they drink goat milk. Women live longer in Japan they eat some kind of veg that looks like a wrinkled cucumber. In Greese they have little dementia, they drink herbal dandelion tea. Long life in Loma Linda California is due to eating walnuts soaked in water. Learned this on Dr. Oz, now you all are informed lol

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I hear Ya Flowers....my grandson kept asking what that strange noise was....should have seen his face when I said "My joints" Everything pops and grinds ....grin The wake up temp this AM at 5:30 was 80 degrees with a heat index of 87.....before the sun came up.....humidity at 93%.....and foggy. The fog cleared around 9AM, but the sky is full of fat fluffy slightly gray clouds....oh well, at least I am not cold.....(shudder) grin

Hey Trina, Rain barrels are good sound eco decision. Good on Ya.
