Are there any other farm around there with different trees?
THE BASIL CARAVAN
a locust or washington hawthorne but thosehave thorns and I'm not into pain.... but mostly oaks, maples, willows, pines and lots of mulberry, if we lived closer to the river we could find birch
Willow contains enzymes that act as root stimulator.
You might rough up the bark of your local tree species with a saw to provide more propagation sites.
cool that I can do....are you tired of me yet?
How many logs will you need for 200 seeds?
I am going to go saw some logs!!! lol Sleepy time!
Night Trina, Dave, and Rachel! Sweet dreams!!
Three, just like the picture.
So the seed heavily, and give it good care!
We have 11 trees we took down at the farm so this is one time that won't be a problem and I just talked to Steve (the actual owner) and told him what I wanted he said I could keep them in his upstairs bathroom since 1. it's massive and 2. has lots of light with radiant heat throughout the floors...and since we are out there everyday. misting not a problem either
is it bad when you call a guy on the phone and his first words are "What are you planting where or is it a houseplant?"
Night Venice! Thanks for your help Dave I really do appreciate it....Now to go select a nice speciman from my collection of houseplants for tomorrow....this is the part I hate
A hui hou aku, Carol!
ok next dumb question on my list, roses for a funeral do I go with the typical choice or do I pick my friends favorite color?
Pick your friend's favorite color, aaaaaand don't listen to the relatives.
What are Witches here for if they don't help their friends!
actually I'm shocked she's being burried here. I thought for sure her kids would bury her where you are...she owned a small place on one of the islands but I don't remember which one....she took me there to celebrate/commisserate my first Divorce many moons ago
I know your just gonna tell me it doesn't make a good houseplant, but that is beautiful what is it?
Camelia.
you didn't say it, your starting to let me down here...ooh good song...sorry....it's that brain mouth thing again...and listening to my iPod while playing on the laptop
I moved up to the iPod after scratching every BB King cd I have dancing around with it
well laptop's battery is almost dead and I need to get some sleep for the funeral. Night Dave thanks for you help! Night Rachel if your still lurking out their somewhere....it's a Sicilian/irish catholic funeral so don't be suprised if I'm slurring my words when I stumble back in tomorrow
ooooooooooh so are you saying I can grow it is a houseplant?
Jimi's good but BB is the King now
I'm waiting for Dave to answer the question about the camellia!
Sorry Trina, to be specific it is a "Peony Form Double Camellia".
A cultivated hybrid.
If I knew the exact name I would have told you long before you protested about me not giving you enough information.
To the best of my knowledge: It is a Camellia!
morning everybody!

Good morning Lynnie!
wow Lynnie, that was really early!
I went back to sleep, fortunately! Still tired though.
Good Morning all. Hope you have a great day. Smiley, check the bank account...catch the beggars before things get nuts again....grin
Lynn, did ya get your other trees? Hope it is sunny and nice in the great Northeast.....y'all don't work too hard.
no, I ended up working extra :( and haven't had a chance! I'm off for a couple of days so I'm hoping to get a lot done, maybe I can get them this week.
I'm also planning the little one's b-day party...costume party....need to grocery shop, clean & hit the gym lol
It's been nice, rained when I needed it and sunny & cool since...well it was in the 70's Sunday, but it's mostly 60's now.
Sounds like a busy day for you too. Have a good one. Costume parties are so much fun, know the little one will have a great time.
Foggy right now, supposed to be in mid 80's today.....ah well...
Morning,
50 and raining here.
DH gave in and helped put the lights on the gutters so they wouldn't fall again.
Guess seeing me heave ho his ladder toward the picture window made him nervous...
LOL JJs. You're pretty funny!
How does your computer run?
Thanks for the reminder again, Moon. Can you believe, people are trying to put these bogus checks through twice.
I think panic sets in when you get a $4500 check, deposit it, western union the company their portion (usually around $4200) then you find out the check is no good.
Why don't people realize if it's too good to be true, it usually is. I know the economy stinks, but I've seen these checks (the smart people find us and call) and they are obviously not good checks.
Everyone have a good day. Enjoy!
Morning All=====Just popped in for a minute to say Hi and wish everyone a good week ahead. Grandkids and I had fun. The fridge is empty, three bags of Halloween candy gone, Have some cute homemade Halloween art on windows, doors and fridge. There is a big hairy spider hanging from my ceiling fan and a neon green skeleton hanging out on my porch. Got to take computer to repair man. Daughter is right someone needs to take my delete button away !chuckle chuckle. He is gonna give me a laptop for a loaner so that should be interesting and will holler at yall when I get it hooked up late this evening. Oh OH OH Log are Lit!! Yeahhhhhh . Bring some hot cocoa and we can have a cozy visit. Happy to hear yall are keeping each other good company. Catch ya this evening. Karen
Smiley, the sound is still distorted at startup, but it is running much better.
Thanks for asking.
Off to go shopping, day not much good for anything else
Have a great day
Glad ya got the fire going and had a good time.
Have fun with the laptop, a little advice from someone else who can mess one up in seconds.
I think it is easier to hook the keyboard up to the laptop ( or do 1 finger typing) cause everthing is so close.
Kids laugh at me (so go ahead and laugh everyone), but if it is just going to sit on the counter anyway I find it easier.
Later
Good morning JJs and Karen. Glad the computers are getting straightened out. JJs I had DH go buy a mouse to use with the laptop...got tired of stroking its ego only to have it land in the wrong place....grin
Flowers, so glad you had fun with the grands...sure the parents were happy to get their little ones back wired on Hallowe'en candy....grin
Smiley, how does one go about cashing a check that they have no idea why they got? Greed I guess. Welcome for the reminder....seems like Tuesday is always a better day to check the bank for stuff...at my bank anyway. I have had this orchid for a few years and it finally decided to bloom....yea...
