Someone was moving and she said that her roomate wouldn't water her plants. So she set them out by the curb and if no one came for them, the trashman would pick them up.
So I went!! The plants really need cleaning up. But they came in 3 big pots and one even bigger pot, probably a 14" pot. A couple tiny ones I took were similar to a wander Jew but all purple. You probably know what it is. The other one was a minature rose bush that looked like it was just dug up from the garden. One was a spider but I am dumping that one. Like I said they all need cleaning up, new soil, sprayed, etc. I can't carry them to my patio because they are too heavy so I will have to ask one of the guys who work here. But I think they will look nice when I am finished with them
THE BASIL CARAVAN
oh no I've created a monster...LOL
Why are you dumping the spiderplant?
Why, you want it???
no I have enough spiderplants unless its some strange color or new variation....are they just not your personal taste? or is it too ragged looking
Dave, thanks a lot for the apple photo! It does kind of look like a pear on the inside.
low of 44 tonight with winds up to 30 miles per hour....great...my room will be freezing....the downside to having a room of windows
Actually, it looks pretty good and it is a fairly large size. The babies don't look as healthy. Years ago I had a spider, then they just kept multiplying. That happened when I got a jade plant that grew really big. And I ended up with jade plants all over the place!
Sorry, but it is just plain green. I will show you before I dump it.
The all purple wanderer is Tradescantia zebrina 'Purpusii'.
You need some kind of heavy curtains to use at night.
When I lived in WI, my apartment on one side would get so cold, even the floor. I put up cardboard on the sliding glass door with a blanket over it. And I also put cardboard on the floor because at the floor it was only 42 degrees! Burrr!
uhg! I think our toast to the beloved is catching up with me....Dave ever heard of a Pink Poui Tree?
no spider plants I have nightmares about the ones I have attacking me in my sleep....they are definately prolific little beggars
I would have wigged out on that It drops below 80 and I'm digging out the sweatshirts and long johns....I hate being cold
and I think I'm starting to grow webbed feet it's rained that much this year
this thing smells fruity....why does it smell fruity?
Those would be Tabebuia rosea & T. heterophylla. Also known as Pink Tecoma.
They can be grown as Bonzai plants indoors.
great another tree I can't put outside....Judi you have a twisted sense of Humor!
see I had a plan just go over there firday right the instructions down for Allan, take cuttings, for Trudi, Tommra, and Tasha, and come home.....but no.....she wanted to make sure I had to keep some a my house, Tommra just dropped off like a dozen plants one of which being this tree that smells fruity and is as tall as my ficus! she's laughing at me and I know it!!!!
BTW Dave I did get the two willow logs this afternoon on my way back, so I can do those Tallandsia seeds
Hey Rachel....still waiting on Lari Ann's package now I'm worried about the temps getting to them before they get to me
Hey Trina, try not to let your Aroids get below 60 degrees F.
I know that much....it's just there is a package of them coming from Lari Ann and our low tonight is 44 high tomorrow of 58....I'm a little worried....especially because I've been trying to replace the one for 15 years now, and she worked really hard to find it for me. blasted midwest weather! really wishing I had bought the place in Hawaii or Tennessee instead of Missouri....oh well at least I don't have too far to drive to get there
both, this is what she is sending
3 each pink princess 1 foot cuttings
3 each brandtianum 1 to 2 ft cuttings
1 stenoblum in 6" pot
