Went to a lame car show and then a harvest festival which had lots going on. A Blues band, civil war encampment, petting zoo, bbq, ice cream, etc, etc.
Walking back to our car there was a woman planting bulbs, she said she had hundreds to plant and even offered me some. So sweet, but I didn't take any since I have a lot coming in.

Bill - we didn't end up having frost last night, did you? I was surprised that it was high 30's when I got up this morning. Now it is 50, sunny and very breezy with lots of swirling leaves. Beautiful day, but cool.

Don't know about the spider---it was bright orange with darker markings on it---about the size of a nickle---another sighting today that I didn't like ---started raking up these pine needles & found a snake curled up---looked like a garter---but tomorrow I've got to pick up all these--don't know where the snake went!

Marilyn - I'm so glad you and Doug will be able to go to the Villages this winter! I wish you weren't so far away from us! Our neighbors there are emailing us that we better hurry up and come, since we always bring some cool temps with us. They are still having temps in the 90s. yikes.
It is pretty cold here....40 now, but really going down this week. We had lunch on the porch.....it was nice in the sun. Poor Hank is suffering with a cold. He claims it was self-inflicted from his Adirondacks weekend.

It’s getting CoLD! Looks like it’s going to be an expensive heating year! Going to get colder tonight even! Meanwhile my bud in Fla just called to complain about the heat, they have an unusual heat wave down there now. Looks like we get colder/ wetter and they get hotter/drier. Like in that movie ‘The Day After Tomorrow’! Last night I looked up at the sky and I had to do a double take! It looked like a ‘Going to Snow Tomorrow Sky’, good thing it didn’t! Snow on top of branches with leaves is a bad combo! lol!

I like the snow too, people are nicer and friendlier when it's snowing, unless of course it snows too much then they get worried and grumpy. LOL!
