More progress!

The 45 degree braces were put on the girder. The floor joists were placed at two feet on center and a chalk line drawn at 7' 9". Most of the floor joists have been sawed to length. Tomorrow will finish that, and place the end plates for the floor joists. Then blocking.

you up Lynnie?

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Morning Everyone,

Dave you are really going to town on that addition. Looking good.

Smiley, Lynnie must have went to gym early to work off the cookies.

Flowers it might have a shrunken head. The balloons tend to shrink in the cold. Will probably have to put new ones in later.

Time to check the GS progress on getting ready for school.
Later

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Way to go Dave!!!!!! When is open house we'll be there. Morning JJ and think your right Smiley got the cookie guilts lol. What the heck am I doing up and talking this early? Man it must have been that shrunken headed ghost running through my dreams all night lol. Have a Good Day All.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good Morning All. Hope everyone has a great day. First time the temps have been in the 60's in months....gonna take advantage of it. Tearing apart the greenhouses and getting them ready for winter...I think everything in the yard is standing up a little straighter with cooler weather...including the gardener.....

Onward and outward.....Moon

(I'll start a new thread at 300 unless we get a lot of pics)

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Morning moon, better make hay while the sun shines. It is foggy here and probably in 50's havent looked at thermometer. Don't work too hard.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

No fear of that Flowers....just be stomping around trying to get a bit ahead of the game....grin

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, how in the world did you get 1445 Dark Pink Morning Glories!!!!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good morning Venice. Hope your headache is gone and you have a great day today.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Hi Moon! I am feeling much better! I hope to get my new glasses in a few days. The problem with my old ones is that seeing distance was not as good, my lenses were really scratched, my eyes had not been checked in nearly 7 years, and the arm on my glasses broke off at the hinge that can't be taped or glued. I don't see very well also because my glasses with graduating lenses don't sit on my face straight and I feel like I am on a rocking boat!!! I suppose I could try to tape the top of my frames to my forehead! lol

Dave, you are really progressing with your addition!!! Really like seeing all what you are doing.

Trina, where are you?! I saw that you can eat a prickly pear! Both the leaves and flowers! Ouch!

Good morning to the early group! -- Smiley, Moon, JJ, and Flowers!

See you later!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

New glasses can change your complete outlook on the world....lol Glad you are feeling better...later

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I sure hope so because I want to get off this boat!!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Good morning Venice! It does take a little time to get used to the transition lenses. I kept switching back & forth (needed them to see the computer screen but would fall down the stairs) and finally said 'no more' and forced myself to deal with it.

Now if I want to get all "wah-wah-y" (like in the old days) I nod re-e-al slow...

Good luck !

Morning Moon, JJs & Flowers! Everyone have a good day!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I have had progressive lenses for about 20 years now. It only took me about 30 minutes to get use to them when I first had them because I thought it was so cool I could see everything! The boat affect is from my wobbly glasses without the one arm!!! I know, I just need to keep tilting my head the direction they are wobbling! And yes, with the progressive lenses, I always go down stairs very slowly and hang onto the rail!! It can be very dangerous!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

eh, sorry! I didn't read the post close enough!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Smiley, sometimes I may write too many details that the point I was making gets lost!!!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

You people have me in stitches over here tooo funny!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Or more like it, I'm lost!!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Hey Venice, yes getting use to new glasses is a trip. First pair I got remember I was stepping high for a week. Just tape a magnifying glass to your computer monitor until the new ones come in LOL

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Smiley, you should be on Comedy Central you have a way of explaining things lol

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Well its colder than a well diggers butte in here so gonna head for the warm room for awhile. Keep laughing all and moon put right foot down and stomp, then put left foot down and stomp---do the hookie pocky and turn yourself around and weeds will be gone in no time.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

LOL

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Venice no the feeling with the glasses. I need a new pair too.

Years ago when I first got bifocals I got two pair of glasses and switched them depending on what I was doing.(remember I'm the queen of cheap). That didn't last long, so got progressives and had no trouble until I put up the Xmas tree. Standing on the ladder I looked down and thought I was on the last rung. Wrong I was on the third one. Stepped off and fell right into a box of Xmas lights

Now I take off glasses when climbing ladder!!!

Raining here moon and about 50. But the furnace is on today!!!

Have a great day all

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Almost chopped off my fingers with my first pair of progressives...moral be really really careful pruning plants with new glasses....lol

So sorry you guys are chilly...I would say bring it on if it would get rid of weeds and skeeters....grin

JJs, we have a massive rain front moving in tomorrow...and I thought I might actually have to water....grin

Flowers, do we want to know how you know how cold a well diggers butt is?????LMWDBO....grin

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

hello-o-o-o !!! Anyone still here??? Late lunch today.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Hi Julie. Think they are all snuggled in front of the fire eating leftover cookies and drinking re-warmed hot chocolate..Grin

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I wouldn't blame them! It's 50 degrees here today. And damp. That's worse than just being cold.

You have a good day Moon, I'll check in later.

Keaau, HI

Good morning everyone! Aloha ahiahi!

How about some plant photos from last night? (Got too tired to post them.)
