Pass the Gypsy on the leeward side

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

That last one is pretty, Dave. Looks like something DH would paint.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

is it bedtime yet?

Keaau, HI

Show us some paintings Smiley!

Here is a thin leaved dwarf. I'm not sure if the thin leaved varieties are descended from Cordyline stricta. Better find out!

I like that one too...I'm doing The Happy Dance! The Happy Dance! The Happy Dance!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

well, I didn't do a good job, but I hope you'll get the idea. These are much better live, instead of memorex.

This is called The Old Guard, and is an 8x10 print of an original. The original was in the members gallery at the Albright Knox Art Gallery, but someone bought it.

And they are much larger.

eh, that didn't work. When I click on it, it won't load. Probably too large of a file. I'll ask him to fix up something for you guys to see.

It's flowers, but you can't tell from the thumbnail.

are all these things you show us at your house, Dave?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Dave, Kassy Aloha ahiahi.....gorgeous Tis Dave. Sorry about the car Kassy. Been there...no fun.

Unfortunately the death toll keeps rising in the earthquake/tsunami strike. Sad stories being aired.....Dave, so glad you are okay. House addition is looking good. Know you'll be glad when it is finished.

Lunch with Digger (Sally and her husband Johnny). She is an absolute trip. Had a grand time with them.

Venice, can ya see now? grin Every time I see the eye doctor he dilates my eyes and it takes forever to see straight again.....and I get to drive home afterwards.....whoo-hoo.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

you got all kinds of thing today, girl!

Keaau, HI

Nice artwork Smiley! Yes the Ti is part of my garden, I grow a lot of them.

How are you Jean?

Things do keep looking worse in Samoa; they aren't sure how many folks got washed out to sea. They've only been counting the bodies they can find.

Carol will need good vision to count all of Trina's plants. I hate going to the eye doctor (I'm required to do so once a year.).

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I am well Dave. Yeah, DHJim has to do the yearly eye check for diabetes too, and family history of glaucoma.

The actual earthquakes have left hundreds missing and feared trapped under collapsed buildings.....I think in the greater scheme of things I'll stick with hurricanes.....

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Guess you'll have to let the kids have them JJs....don't think I can run that fast....lol

Really nice painting, Smiley...DH is very talented...would that style fall under the Impressionists?

I am with you Flowers....gift of gab is about the only present I got....grin

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Seedtosser, get back here!

I have an even better one.............LOL

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, your box is in the mail and you should get it in 2 days. I sent you the whole bush of Gaura Lindheimeri 'Walgaupf' Pink Fountain and cut it down to about 3" because there are so many roots. The other one I sent is Buddleia, Butterfly Bush.

Here is the top of the pink fountain that I cut off.

I will send your seeds later.

awesome thank you Carol!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

that's a pretty plant, Venice.

(Zone 5b)

Smiley very nice painting, I like it.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks Lynnie. I asked Bill to help me put a few of his works on here for you to see. I took that picture at work with a really crappy camera.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

from the Backyard Party Favors series

I think the style is more abstract, Moon. Although it does look impression-istic, doesn't it? He always calls it abstract-figurative, because if you study it, there's stuff hiding.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I can see that from the second painting, didn't catch it on the first....I like the idea of abstract-figurative....artfully done I Spy....grin

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I had a terrible time getting that post on here. I tried 6 times and finally after a couple of minutes it went through.

Trina, thank you for all your starts of roses. I was surprised that you sent 4 of them. Also, I was surprised to receive 3 packets of marigold seeds. I have a packet of 10 yucca seeds and many types of hostas. Do you have any idea what type these are? Do you have a photo of any of them?

The notepad and pen was so cute! You have out done yourself! Thank you so much!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

ooohhh very nice....I'm still dancing...or at least I am until hubby gets home... Do The Happy Dance Everybody

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Venice I know one is the sum and substance hosta those are the great big pods...one was green with white edges, one was just green....let me see if I took any pics

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I've lived with it so long it's hard to be objective, but I like it.

This is 'Flood Phase 4 (Crest Mark)' from the Flood Phase series. A town south of Buffalo where he did a lot of camping got flooded. Completely ruined Zoar Valley. This happened a month or so ago.

Thumbnail by smileymom343
Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

The green with white edges may be Patriot hosta....google that and you should get a picture of it Venice

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

That one has great flow to it....no pun intended

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Ill do one more. This is from the Hunter-Hunted series.

Got the floor joists nailed into the joist hangers. Next, 45 degree braces on the girder.

Glad you like it Moon. OK, last one. Same series, we call it "The Bunny Picture".

This one is massive, almost covers my dining room wall. They really lose a lot in the transition from paper to computer thumbnail, though.
