Linda I am so sorry to hear about your son. I know the pain of losing a child is the worst you will ever feel. My son was 42 when we lost him 4 years ago, he passed away in his sleep. Handling a suicide has to be so painful and my love and prayers are with you. I feel your heartbreak.

Words are lost at a time like this other than you and your family are in my prayers.

Linda my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so very very sorry for this tragedy, words cannot explain.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good day sistahs.

I've never experienced this kind of death in my life. Kinda take me aback, especially when Kel is so close to his age.
Won't ask why... but how can we help you Linda?

Hope our prayers are starting to buoy your spirits.

Whatever you all are doing today, don't forget to tell your family you love them.

Blessings to all.

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Linda, so sorry for the loss of your son, I can't even imagine living through that. Just pray alot and reach out to friends when the emotions get to be too much. God doesn't always tell us why bad things happen just rest assured that he is in control and will see you through. Hugs to you and family. Karen

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Welcome Karen ^_^
So... you're back in KarenVille? You'll never be lost for sure!

Leicester, NC(Zone 8a)

Hi Heavenscape, don't count on it I get lost coming home from the store sometimes lol. Hope you have a good weekend!

Raleigh, NC

Jaye, know how many irises arrived? my easy chair broke from me leaning over the side, finding an iris in the box, and logging that iris into my computer. THAT's how many.

could see all my iris planting $$ go right out the window on a new chair. yeah, the fabric gave out this year. but darn it all, I love this chair! it fits me just so. do all my dmailing/posting here.

Randall and I ran a recycling load to dump- then errands. ^_^ we went by HD and spent 73 cents on some parts. we fixed my chair.

ahhhh - if it would just not be so soggy out, I could go plant something. come Monday sun is due.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Linda, I'm so sorry about your son. Wish I could do something, even though I know there's nothing I can do to make it easier for you. My condolescenses.[sp]

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You'll never throw away that chair, huh? Now I hope the irises do well for you Bonnie.
I should learn to straight away catalogue what I got before planting! By the way, can you suggest a pen that's good as garden markers? The "Decocolor" and "Painters" didn't hold up for me.
Too soggy for anything here too. Promised Kel not to avoid all physical activities in the garden.

Hiya Audrey. Have you finished your tote?

Karen, call me Jaye please. We like to address each other by our names.

LSU won!!! It was a very tight game!! TOE biting actually. MS was just 4 inches from scoring, and can't do it.. big relief!
The game wasn't available on our Directv package deal.. so I kinda subscribed to the channel for 3 months. Told Kel it's his early Christmas present! Best part, it was at half price.
Kinda self serving aren't I?

Feeling much better. Hope I'm heal completely by tomorrow morning.
Don't want to miss another day of church. If not, Kel will have to sing harder for me ;)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Nope.. wrote too soon. The coughs are here :(

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Jaye, glad to hear you're feeling better!

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Jaye it will be better if you cough all that nasty stuff up. Otherwise you could end up with pneumonia. And yes I am practicing medicine, but I do have a license. :)))

It seems like all the bad news runs in waves. There is so much of it these days. A lot of people are depressed and can't handle all the economic worries and the loss of jobs etc. Suicide rates are up for sure. I am so sorry that that happened to one of the sistahs.

Linda I don't know you, but I hope there will be some kind of blessing that comes from the grief.

Juanita

Jacksonville, FL

Thank you to all of you for the prayers and word of encouragement. You are all such a blessing in times of need. Last nite and today has been tough talking to my ex-husband's family. I have not talked to ex yet--we have been missing each others call. There seems to be alot of doubt about Michael's death. Many things point to the possibility he did not commit suicide, but was in fact murdered, which I am inclined to agree with. He was not depressed--in fact quite the opposite. He was looking forward to getting married within 6 months and moving to Florida to be near my son Bobby and his mother. Kim told me alot today about some things that had transpired and she feels that there is no way that Michael would have ended his life. It may never be solved, but I want to try to pursue this to have closure.

Jaye--I am glad you are on the mend and that your LSU team did you proud. Not sure how FSU did today. I have been too preoccupied to think football.

My tenants moved today so I have got to ready the mobile home for either sale or rent with option to buy (which they were doing until they had to move in with their daughter to help her out financially and help take care of the grandchildren) They became great friends as well as tenants and will miss them. Hopefully I can find someone equally nice to buy or rent.

I have to make more phone calls but did want to stop in with a big Thank You!!

Linda

Hi Ladies,
Lazy day today. Hope ya all doing good. Jaye you take care. I just found out my cousin, Debbie has the swine flu. She lives all by herself with no one to take care of her. If it weren't for my mom calling her every couple of days we would have not known this. You see my cousin lost her dad, sister and mother all within a few years of each other. Plus she lost custody of her daughter 2 years ago. So she has only mom and I for family in Calif., her other sister is in Colorado, and half sister in Oregon (my cousin Sissy) but they do not get along at all.

Well, back to being lazy and watching tv, while waiting for Steve to call me. TTYL ^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement.
Kel decided no church again for me tomorrow :(( Just to make sure I'm totally recovered!!!
It hurts to cough, Juanita, but I know I must. Didn't hold any back and they're not too frequent.

Will there be an investigation, Linda? Not telling you how FSU did. It's not important.. you're right.
Now you got to interview the right tenants, and I think that is a positive distraction for you.
Thank God you got your son Bobby living closeby. You will need each other more.

Debbie is lucky to have relatives like you and your mum Cindy.
If not for Kel, I think I'll be languishing in bed .... :D
Somehow this came to mind when I thought of you and Steve.

Cindy and Stevie sitting in a tree:

K-I-S-S-I-N-G

First comes love,

then comes marriage,

then comes the baby in the golden carriage!

Good night everyone.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL, Jaye you must be taking something that is making you silly because....................

first off I don't think we could climb trees
Kissing yes we do a lot of that, hee hee
Steve and I both are not looking to get married at least not for 3 or 4 years
AND there certainly will NOT be any BABIES HA! HA!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

((((Linda)))) I'm so sad for you. Hopefully, you'll remember all the good times. I do hope you can find out what happened. Losing him is awful, but not knowing why would drive me crazy.

Please stay and chat here, cause you certainly will need an outlet.

(Audrey) Dyersburg, TN(Zone 7a)

Jaye, I'm not through with my tote bag yet. I spent several hours in the ER last night. Every time I moved I got really dizzy! I told my Sweety the room was spinning and he said "Well, Honey, you might have to move!" He had me laughing! For a while, I couldn't even open my eyes, it was so bad! I do feel better this morning, though!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone. I'm glad I stayed home. Having the sniffles, and good thing, white mucus.

Just teasing you Cindy. You certainly know what you want, and don't compromise. But be safe while having fun ;)

Hi there Cookie! Just got off the phone with Kathy, and she's in a tad better spirits.. maybe because Michael's out of state :D
She certainly needs prayers when it comes to the "Hurricane".

Awwww Audrey. It's so nice ain't it not to be by yourself waiting in ER. Do you know what caused you to be disoriented like that? Hope you'll soon be at 100% Audrey.
I still haven't started on the tote :(

Just learnt that a DGer "2pugdogs" was laid to rest in July.
Linda was another addict swapper, before her illness became worse.
A very vivacious woman who happened to love quilting too.
She was my first buddy and I was fortunate to return her gracious gesture in another swap.
So for those that knew her... this is why we haven't heard from her in a long time.
My last communications with her, was telling her that Our Lord will take care of her.
He certainly has.

Raleigh, NC

Linda, that may be easier to hear (???) than the suicide. But either way, you are still in our prayers for your loss. anyone with a child feels for you.

Jaye, my chair was custom ordered same time as Randalls. His is leather. his looks new....mine looks like ....horse manure. but the mechanism is now working better and smoother than it has for a while. :o)

what's this about kissing? hmmm I LIKE kissing. too much, according to Randall when I was dating him and refusing to give up dating other men, too (you listening, Cindy?) remember when ex spread a rumor I was Lesbian....Randall growled when he heard it, "darn it, woman, I wish you liked men a whole lot less..."

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

hi sis, i'm here

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

What I told y'all!!! Hubby's away.. and Kathy's playing on DG!!!

Welcome back Sis!! Got the 'net back?
Kel said save your money on that Sabin shirt.. you might need a Les Miles!

Spreading words that you're a lesbian will only make you more interesting Bonnie.. didn't your ex realise that? Lol!!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

back on, for how long who knows? just got vreal mad at the goats and called wally. he will be here in a while to get them

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

So it's war with the goats? They can be quite mean besides eating up everything that's in their path.
Knowing you, you won't butcher them!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

they knocked sissy and sammy across the yard for no reason. i WILLnot let them hurt my babies

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I heard goat in curry is pretty good. Then the Jamaicans love bbq goat. Might take a good marinade. :D

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

if mike was home we'd be having goat. but he's not, so they will go to wally's

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lucky Wally!!
My family back home is still crazy about goat meat (mutton). Not me. I still prefer beef, or spring lamb.

Don't go missing too long now Sis. You're yet to meet more sistahs who are just as wacky as you.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh man that is so sad to hear about 2pugdogs. The first time I "met" her she was in last years 3 B-House swap, and Stacey was her buddy and had made her a house with little pugs on it.

My daughter was just here and I was asking about her MIL. Eileen has been having good days and bad days. Has not had any chemo for two months so we don't know how bad the cancer is. She is going to a new doc to see what more can be done. My daughter was talking about how they keep telling my granddaughter and she started crying. I grabbed her and held her as tight as I could, I know this is going to be very hard on all of them and I need to build up my strength to be able to help them through this. I also just found out that the H1N1 virus is at my grandson high school and they may be closing the school.

Now onto a cheerful note. I am now chatting with 2 more men. One is in New York and is looking to relocate. Very handsome and from his profile very romantic. He sent me this really long email and wrote him back and told him I didn't think I was his kind of gal that I tend to go for the bad boy biker type. He writes back saying he is a biker and to at least give us a chance to chat and get to know each other before I say no. The other is from Washington and comes to California a lot, has family in Sacramento and his grandparents used to own a dairy farm here in Auburn. He has a Harley. The first email I got from him was "Want to go for a ride" I said "I'd love to but you're 674 miles away" that is when he came back with he comes to Auburn alot. Oh lordie, he is 60 and and Irishman widowed in 95, and kinda cute. I still haven't emailed Dave back and set up a date yet.

I will be meeting Steve's mom, 2nd cousin, brother and sister-in-law when we go to this Cowboy Poetry dinner on Oct 17th. It is a gathering of a bunch of Cowboys who get together and tell poems. They've got some books out, Steve has one and is going to let me read it. He said after he went to the first one, that is when he got started writing poems.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Sounds like Cindy is having a good time! Just don't get the names mixed up or you will be in big trouble. LOL

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL, Yea you got that right. Especially when I'm with Steve. He's the only one I see in person the other are just emails.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Lolol Pegi. I'm thinking the same too.. the only thing Cindy will get right is who has what Harley ;)

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LOL, oh you guys are funny!!!! Steve doesn't have a Harley but wants to get one.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Hey Sis Kathy! So glad to see you posting!

Well, I (with Bertie's help) hosted the Fall ORVG RU at our house yesterday. There were 13 of us and we had a grand time. If anyone is interested in seeing some pictures, please go to here:

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Kathy, how you doing? Long time no see, or hear from you!
Glad to see you back here!
Hope everyone is doing well, and i can't tell you anything about goats, other than they can be stinky! LOL

I am back from my week-end in San Antonio. Had a great time at my Granddaughters 10th birthday! Boy is she growing so fast!
We all went shopping at JoAnne's fabric, and founds several of pieces, that just had to come home. I will just add them to the stash, and find a purpose for them later!

Just skimming through, and will go back to read everything in a bit. Hope everyone is doing OK!

Good night
LK

Joyce what beautiful pix of your garden's.

Well Ladies are you ready for another update on the "Romances of Cindy" lol?
I have been IMing with the guy from New York. He is in Nigeria right now, on an oil investment. I asked him if he was rich, lol. He laughed and said in about 25 days he will be worth $6.4 million. He wants to come here to meet me when he leaves Nigeria instead of going back to New York. Or fly me to New York to meet him yea right!!! His wife passed 5 years ago from breast cancer and they never had kids (she couldn't and she wouldn't adopt) his parents died when he was 16 and his grandmother raised him then she passed when he went off to collage. the only family he has is an uncle and he is a drunk and he pays his bills for him. I told Jack that I was seeing Steve and chatting with other guys but not sure where I'm going with any of them. He told me his laptop is always on and to buzz whenever I want to talk to him. Sure would be nice to have a man take care of me for the rest of my life and not have to worry about money ^_^.

this is Jack

Oh geez I just got an email from Mike he wants me to come to Oroville, Washington for a bartar fair, lol. Told him nope no can do need to stick close to home because of things with Eileen. Man I'm going to get in trouble. but darn I'm having fun. ^_^

Yep, would be nice to be taken care of by a rich man. Never having to worry about bills getting paid would be in my wish book. Love hearing all about the "Romances Of Cindy".
