Instead of buying worms & worm food, put worms from your yard in the mix, and just feed them the waste from your kitchen.
You won't need to drill holes if you can keep the mix on the dry side, and be sure you can turn the mix regularly.
Don't forget to add a little CaCO3 or Dolomite, to increase the rate of metabolism.
Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness...a gypsy song
Lynnie, love your vac, does it suck good lol Started to get a lawnmower like that while back but it would only cover a certain square footage. The things they come out with!!
Moon, I was thinking about putting the seeds in pots also.
Do I just leave my ferns as is? I don't cut them off do I ? Do I tie them together so they aren't broken in all the snow? They don't have much cover where they are.
Yes, Smiley-Judy, I am Carol, like a Christmas Carol. And I am Venice, like the city in Italy.
Hey Karen, don't ya just hate pushy appliances....grin I have also used the styrofoam egg cartons for seed starting...I use a spray bottle to water them so it doesn't bother the seeds/seedlings.
Coffee sounds great...wish i had thought of cupcakes...lol
uhg I hate waiting!
I can't help much with snow questions Venice....it doesn't snow here but maybe once every 7 years or so, and then, we have no warning...sorry
Yes moon, on a roll now so won't stay in here gotta do glass and wood yuk. Hey Trina, need to put Tinker Bell in a padjent she would win with all those cute outfits!
Venice, I'm Julie. Like Mary Poppins.
And I'm italian, like in Florence. (no, that's my aunt!) Were you in Venice in '62? As a small child, of course.
Hi Flowers, er, I mean Karen. I should remember that, that's my SIL's name. A great beading talent. She made me the coolest beaded hummingbird.
Who has cupcakes??? Ohhhh, Flowwwwerrrrs has cupcakes. Did you bring enough to share?
Venice, are the ferns new to you that you're asking about snow? are they itty bitty ferns?
I did Julie, they are in the mail headed your way lol Glad you like your sil with same name lol
look what Dave has. It's bee-youuu-tee-ful. Trina, what are you waiting for?
I found out that my maternal grandmother's family is from L'Aquila, where they had the earthquake.
ok, yall can talk now, I'm outta here. Got to get busy with the windex. Untill we meet again.
Got snarled up in traffic, forgot about the fair in town....ugh.
The vacuum and mop both work great, vacuum picks up dog hair better than a regular vacuum. It has a computerized schedule, it seems to come out every day (my husband set it, not me lol) then it goes back to it's charger on it's own. The mop doesn't have that, you have to bend down & push it's button...sigh...the only thing is the mop can't get into corners. The vacuum has little brushes that come out and go under the baseboard heaters and into corners.
oh JJ that's red oak flooring. We put it in shortly after moving here, the carpet was light beige and quickly turned dark beige from the dog lol
I'm sorry, but there's NO WAY I'll remember everybody's real names! lol
Lucky if I remember what day it is...
for the kids to get home cause I need help moving a plant
We get frost if the humidity is right, and even some sleet on rare occassion...mid 30's is our usual low and the ground never freezes...we get a few night time lows between 28-32, but not too many and our average daytime COLD days are usually between 45-50....some much warmer (70) but few colder
Hi Lynnie....I figure like you...if i can remember who I am it is a good day....grin
rub it in Jean, rub it in.....I say rolling my eyes and laughing
This is post number 301...time to move...here is the link to the new stomping grounds...

oh, to have such balmy winters...
We had 14 days of straight snow one year. They had to send the National Guard with these huge saw machines. The plows had piled so much snow on the sides of the roads that they had to saw back to the curbs. The streets had gotten too narrow to be safe.
But that's not normal around here, that was a special winter.
