Thank you so much everyone. Marilyn, our entire company has been on a four day work week since June, but I'm the first to be let go from my department, which stung a little. My boss has been a real sweetheart, though.
On a brighter note, my DS turns 14 today!

Thank you all for your sympathy for me, and well wishes for my son! I told him I'd give him permission to watch any movie he wanted to tonight, even the 'R' rated ones. He chose 'The Princess Bride'! Great choice, great kid. I'm beaming.
