Coffee Break # 19 - Happy Equinox!

Thomaston, CT

Just watched UCONN football team lose in the last 3 sec---I'm brokenhearted!

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Yeah. Seems to be a theme with them this year. They could be undefeated.

Thomaston, CT

I know---only 5 points away from glory----Frazer & Lutrus are both awful losses to the team.

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Brought most of the houseplants in. It's supposed to frost tonight. Left a few out. They're headed for the compost anyway. They're not pulling their weight! They gotta be pretty, you know?

Then I unhooked the TV, modem, phone, router, DVD player, Xbox, VCR and Roku player (plays Netflix movies). Then cleaned them and assembled them together on a different cabinet. All these wires have driven me insane!!! I have internet, good thing, because my mind is gone!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

good news the light & music show went off without a hitch.... here are some previews... we already had people stopping to check it out and commenting ... gotta love it

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I would of too. ^_^

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Wonderful! You are a genius! Think about how many people will smile when they see your display...

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I hope so... that's what makes me keep going!!.. while we were checking out how everything is going a car stopped on the corner of our street.. he was just about to pull out and slammed on his brakes.... stayed there for quite a while.. it made my night

edit - I just started lady evil by Black Sabbath

Very cool, Allison! You've done a fantastic job!

Karen

You are a great teckie! Loved the lights---and music, too! What kind of candy goes with all that?

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Nice job, Alison.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great job, Allison!

Wow - what happened to the Sox??!

Amazing turnaround for A-Rod. Let's see if he can continue against the Angels.

Wow - three sweeps.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Awesome Allison!

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Poor Red Sox! Out of the running for this year. There's always next year....

Thanks, Karen. We did!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

nice pictures victor, looks like a you had great weekend.

i finally gave in yesterday and bought some cheater glasses to be able to read the paper at breakfast instead of taking guesses of the fuzzy shapes i was looking at. wife now says i look like my old man - may not wear them again :)

Thomaston, CT

Sun just broke through, & it's 46 out there--not pleasant, but not SNOW---UGH---I don't care if I never see snow again! Louise, I, too, am sorry we are going to be so far away in FL---especially stuck without a car---we'll get around with the golf cart in the Villages---if we rent a car, maybe we'll get to Fort Myers! Hugs to Hank--hope he's better soon. Allison, I'd pick your house for trick-or-treat!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

They make such cool looking glasses now, go get yourself a pair.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

my neighbor went to the villages last year... she loved it

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

onewish you have the BEST spooky place! Looks like a wonderful weekend Victor. I oinked way too much food on Turkey Day and now I can't move so I'm being vegetatively ambitious by organizing my 2009 garden photos (most of which contain a hose I've discovered). Sofonisba I am in awe about your techie ability. Were there any parts left over? wha spectacles make a person look very wise. I wear them just to fool people. Unless you wear the 3D kind; then you look old and really silly too.

Thomaston, CT

How about noise?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wooosh.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I think I'll wait till the price goes down, sheesh.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

strange... it will probably cause cancer

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Like the design and always a sucker for new inventions. The vacuum has been a godsend with my shedding dogs but this would be an extravagance, unless it blows both hot and cold air.... and quick freezes food....... and blows the leaves off my lawn.....

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

... and makes a good omelet. It's cool looking though.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes - it's extravagant but I do admire the technology. Like the Segway and Kindle - cool stuff I would probably never get, but am impressed with.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

You can play quiddich with it.

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Quiddich?? as in Harry Potter?

i would love a kindle! The price has gone way down at amazon.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Yes. It looks like a goal.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I would like a Kindle too, but even $250 is way too much. About $150 would be where I might be interested.
