Better dear phoebes ^_^ Me and Pix would be way more happy. We would just whizz around the NE visiting around. Correct me if I'm wrong Pix but I think we would be just be dashing visitors. Petal to the metal visits to everyone. And HELLO Pix would have muffins and cheesecake! Is this too fabby or what! AND I will bring Bernard Callabeaut chocolate.

Came back from our regional iris meeting in Maine. Grand color everywhere--the trees stood up to the rain.

Returning from Maine we suddenly left an area with red & proceeded to mostly yellow witn a few oranges. It was quite abrupt so different trees luck different soil. We have some swamp maples between us & the Topsfield Fair & those trees are gorgeous.
I do love the haunted house, the ghost inside goes around. I think their are 4 different ones that appear in the door way. lol

Yes Iris, you most likely crossed into an area of Maine that was only begining to change. The upper parts, mountains are almost in full foliage peak but my area is only in the middle, the coast even less.
Last one for now, a tree is his backyard.

These are cat n' nine tails on the outskirts of the lake.
Alot of color already, seems early to me.
We didn't have a summer to speak of so i'd guess thats why it feels early.

Love the pictures, especially the one with the cattails. The swamp maples which were brillian red last week seem to be going past. I think the leaves are early.
