Mushrooms are starting to pop up everywhere, another sign here.

Different shapes and sizes, just like us gardeners. ^_^
It's also apple picking time, pies and sauce are in the future.
And of course let us not forget the ugly side......look what Mr. Frost did to my squash leaves!
So whats changing in your yard? Victor, I know you have some lovely bushes/shrubs changing about now. ^_^

Kind of depressing to see so much color this early.
Here is Pee Wee again - getting strong fall colors but still blooming.
Sourwood - which gets its fall colors going in early August!
Shasta viburnum - oddly blooming again. Never happened before. Freaky year.
And the crapes, which are still just budding, are turning colors. This is Pocomoke.

My town's fair was last weekend. Durham Fair this weekend (signs of fall)

I haven't noticed any leaf changing yet, but I know it's fall when the farmer's market down the road rearranges the layout to make way for apple picking.
Went pass a field today (which I think was soybean) and it was all golden, looked really pretty, didn't have my camera though.

found a few colors out there last night - tulip tree with burning bush just starting
another burning bush - looks better in the picture than it really is
pretty... the ones Randy wanted have never changed color... we moved them to a sunnier spot this year
thx allison - these are not on my property - over a wall - very invasive bush - and they do not get that brilliant dark red like some.
here is one i have posted before - jm that the rootstock took over, it keeps looking better and better.

DH found litlte baby tulip populars growing on the compost pile. Where can we replant them is the question, certainly would not like to lose those.
Very nice JM, Bill. I am not a fan of burning bush at all. Apart from invasiveness, it's just boring for 50 weeks out of the year. No multi-season interest at all.
i have burnt most of them here - i do have them in a ring around the fire pit - they offer a nice outdoor room effect. slowing replacing others with vib's
Many other better choices for room 'walls'.
there are - these were free and they are mature after 5+ years of trimming - do not plan to start over with them.
