This cosmos was about 4 1/2' tall, fell over in the wind. I tried staking it but Wall-e thought the stakes were his toys, (dumb mutt) so it's just lying on the ground but look at all the blooms!

amaranth getting bigger and bigger - these are pretty cool - although they do drop a lot of seeds as i found out this year - had them last year and removed them from the garden at the end of the year - grew them from seed again and planted them - well a dozed or so of their cousins popped up too - easy to pull out if you want though.

I like wintergreen, Robin. Great smell.

Looking good, Bill. I like helianthus - nice late color which blends well with the fall foliage. You will love sourwood as it grows.

Went out to take these few pics and ended up weeding for 45 minutes! Was so out of hand.

Last - Clethra Rosea. Even after the bloom is done you get these red filaments which, like heptacodium, looks like more flowers!

Now this flower blommed AFTER the frosty morning...it's an LA Lily that should of bloomed in July. It's just a little confused.

One last group of flowers......but I didn't grow them. lol
