Allison--did you say there is an elderly woman living in the freak house? I might have some concerns about elder abuse/neglect, as these two obviously do not have their priorities in order. My state has agencies to monitor this sort of thing.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

love those sunflowers Bill....

yes Phoebe... there was a few times I called the police when I saw her wandering around the street... blocks away from the house too... the state was notified ... and went to the house to check on things... AND they call for an ambulance a few times a month... for whatever reason... I would think someone would report them if something more was going on... but I think they have someone staying with her when they don't take her and go out... looks like an aid comes now and then

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Doesn't sound optimal, but at least there are other eyes on the situation. And good for you on taking action to help her!

I, as a cat owner, have zero tolerance for cats using other people's property for their bathroom. It is very easy to train your cat to go in your own yard. It's no different than training them to use a litter box in the house. If you don't want to do that then you shouldn't let your cat outside. The crazy ole cat has his spot in our yard and that's where he goes. I can't say enough about the responsible dog owners in our neighbourhood and we have ALOT of dogs so why should my cat be allowed to go where ever? That's my 2 centsUS (1.85 centsCA)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

thanks for the conversion... LOL

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Mine had better use the litter box and nothing else. I don't tolerate other peoples animals using my yard either.

Cats should be kept indoors only.

Love the PM's.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

The crazy ole cat just gave you 'the look' Victor when I read him your post (tee hee). Here is my baby 'Pink Diamond' hydrangea. You can see how less pinky it is than Victor's. It will be interesting to see just how pink it gets here

LMAO @ myself. I just blew up your pic flowerjen. I thought it was a flower in the thumbnail and O there she was oogling me! Made me jump. No worries. I did not spill my refreshing beverage.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

And I thought your hydrangea was an African violet! It is a beautiful pink! Glad you did not spill your refreshing beverage dnut!--love the PM--haven't seen one in ages.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

I like the friend. I agree Victor. I keep mine indoors. However, some are needed outside to keep the rodents from overtaking.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

It DOES look like an AV phoebes in that pic ^_^ I'm hoping it gets as pink as Victor's. I'm also wondering if it is because my soil is on the alkaline side. Victor is your soil alkaline/acidic? Also all scooped up a Euonymus alata "Compactus" today and 2 pink latycodon grandiflorus which I'm very excited about. Don't you just luv fall bargoon prices?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Paniculata is not influenced by soil pH, dnut.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

WHA if the cat is old it might be getting ready to check out permanently, bad hygene is the first sign

Golden Creeping Jenny!

Eastern Long Island, NY(Zone 7a)

I just love how that spreads! (lol)

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I have a lot of it.
Very nice gardens Marilyn.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

very nice marilyn!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Whiteout is very bright. I'd like to have a white rose. I keep trying to find the climbing 'Polar Star' which is hardy for my zone but only find the 'Polar Star' hybrid tea which is not. wha if you chase that cat it might think you are playing with it and keep coming back. The crazy ole cat likes to be chased.

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, folks---the White Out starts creamy yellow, whhick I like---its parent is Knockout, so it's very hardy.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

love all the blooms!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Morden Sunrise is a favorite of mine, so much so I bought one this year. It's lovely! I'm glad it's givien you another bloom, hope mine does the same when it's bigger. That Golden Jenny is very nice!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Morden Sunrise blooms all season for me. A must-have in my garden. I am also crazy about Morden Blush although some don't like the flower form on that one in wetter conditions. Oooo I just noticed the dark foliage on the White Out. It's flowers are a little big for my Tiny Flower bed which can do zone 5ish things but I think I feel an exception may be in order. Thanks RD. I shall look for it in the spring. ps another box was on my doorstep when I got home after picking up some codonopsis clematidea tubers from a dear friend (which I'm very excited about BTW). Maybe I have been identity thefted cuz I'm sure I didn't order more bulbous things but I suspect that's what's in it. Right now it's just sitting on my desk staring at me.... I'm staring back....
