Geeze, I don't know what you have, Linda - what seeds?
~Susan~
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
Sage and I had fun. Last week I taught her how to trace off a pattern and transfer it to her watercolor paper. She chose a picture of Gerbera Daisies from one of my books. Today she wanted to to paint so she brought me her palette and told me what colors she wanted for her piece. This is what she did today...with no instruction at all on this project.
The next time she is over we will do some masking and put another layer of color on. She is such fun to work with...when she came in last night she asked if we could paint because "I am so into painting right now!"
running late, I need to get ready for Church, I will check back in later.
Sage is definatley shows talent! I think she has a good teacher Trisha!!
Woohoooo!!! Getting new Cell Phone soon! I am so excited, nice camera too, lol.
OMG, Debbie, I so hope you are feeling well...
Was telling Liz, I must take a pic for youall, Skittle sleeps on her back.
So so, cute. This was a cute discovery.
Tubby, Linda Susan, so cool you are all trading Hibiscus seeds!
Wowah, may I please have a couple of seeds as well? Would love it.
Barb, Happy Family time! just smiling.
So, sorry I don't have any of those, but You might be interested in some Siberian Iris? Very Pretty!
Also, I can offer Alaskan Shasta Daisy...
This Season, I have one late bloomer! So pretty...I planted her in memory of Juliana! This years bloom is 9th generation.
Anyway, I hope you all are having a grand weekend!
Tomorrow, Steve and I are going for a bike run! Just over the border (Wisconsin) for lunch.
Judy your on the list..Glad I have something that I can Donate .I've been on the receiving end more than the giving end.

Linda, Tubby, and Judy for my Hibiscus Canabinis Amethyst seeds........ and lots more to give.
Alaskan Shasta Daisy would be nice ^_^
~Susan~
Seeds sound wonderful 'Tubby'..can't wait to plant the seeds..they must be strong to endure Zone 5..
Just had coffee on my 'deck made of love' more special than any other of the decks....was eyeing the gardens, they are now finished, all that really is left are the various colored 'mums' quite pretty .. should plant more of them so that come fall I've still a lot of color..
we've had a cold raining week, ran in and out of heavy rains most of my trip to Meaford yesterday, today, although extrememly cold it's not raining as yet...looks as though it's coming...more towards you Susan they've had snow already.....bad word but it's coming..
next weekend when the family is here for Thanksgiving, everything in the garden (garden art) will be put away, such a sad time of year!
Today, staying in my jammies I think and playing around..have a gourd I'd like to paint into a ghost holding a pumpkin - maybe another into little pumpkins...am sure if my girlfriend who'se birthday was last Thursday drops in on her way to church won't mind my attire, especially after she sees the cement birdbath I made for her...should take a picture before it's gone....had it been warmer I had all the materials except the cement which I could have picked up at Home Depot to do me one so once spring comes I could just set it outside...maroons is my color choice ...who knows, you know me, start with one plan and go off and do another..
Managed to pick up all kinds of treasures yesterday...am sure someone might ask what I got so here goes...
the cutest little primitive chair that a pot of mums fit in (Tubby it's something I'm sure you would enjoy making for the girls, Debbie should have one for sure..(smilling away) ..last week Suzanne and I were at the garden center and she saw something similar , the chair had a fall arrangement and they wanted $89.99 for it..this one is slightly larger and the fun part is you can add a pot of whatever is in season and keep it out all year so I picked one up for her...then a season's greetings out of metal, will have Greg attach it out on the front of the house...my thoughts are that I can make a seasonal 'arrangement' in it each season, doesn't have to be for Christmas...saw Melanie (DIL) same store, she was thinking of it as well, was going to get her one but saw her at the till and she beat me to the punch...a few weeks ago when I took mom to Meaford she bought a black wrought iron wall piece that held 4 glass containers for candles...she put it in her bathroom and wished she'd bought one for her dining room wall so I picked her up quite a large piece - holds 6 candles, she'll be pleased I'm sure...
Pcked up treasures for a few swaps, some known, some not..can't hurt to be ready and have goodies on hand can one..but, I'm in one swap that I saw an item that I know my swap partner would go absolutely love...so home it came home with me, will have to pack it up and ship tomorrow or else it wll sit in my garden, had they had 2 I would have had one...
Trisha, Sage is indeed an artist..keep her interest in painting going...hope you will frame that painting..how wonderful you have a grandaughter that you can bond with in such a manner...best I can do is teach some seasonal programs at the library as my grandchildren are older and doing crafts (other than stained glass which they think is for adults) no longer join me...to be expected I guess..
Judy, I've never known anyone who misplaces as many cel phones as you...lol...hope this one has a neck strap...
Bev, sure hoping Scotty is keeping you from overdoing..how are your gardens doing?
Well, I've rested long enough, now time to get my act together and do something contructive...
Betty sounds like your plate is full for a bit! Would love to see some of them when your done, if you can shre. Don't want you to give any swap secrets away though!
What is your online project going to be this year? Would love to know so we can get all the items ready?
For seeds right n ow, I have mountain laurel seeds, http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/55062/
I have some pink 4 O'clock seeds, http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/162674/
I will have a bunch of mum seeds in a few weeks, and in a month or so, I will have all kinds of cuttings from the angel trumpets. So far, I have a huge white one in bloom, a pretty dark yellow, almost orange, and a pretty pink one.
Just send me a d mail, and let me know what you want!
Have a great day everyone!
LK
Betty those are so pretty. You could even place some pretty fall leaves where the heart is! So many thing you could so with that! Love the birdbath as well, Love the butterflies from the blue glass!
I know her birds will enjoy it!
What kind of seeds do you want Betty? I will get them ready for you.
LindaKay..for my cement birdbath I'm using a variety of agates, going to do a hummer with left over stained glass...
If you look closer to the feeder you will see the butterfly and most of the decorations are not glass but sea shells...
So many picked on the beaches I've walked that I've finally know what to do with them other than display in a clear glass vase..lol
Any kinds of seeds will do
LindaKay, I'll get more organized and post a thread, with various possibilities and see what everyone wants to do..has to be something that isn't too difficult and also something that is easily shipped..should get me act together so that when I'm in the USA in 2 weeks I can ship from there...
Thanks for getting me moving..
Betty, those stones and agates are beautiful! Can't wait to see it finished.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time Betty. I just love the fall craft fairs and seeing how creative people can be... Please keep me in mind for the Christmas project too?? I haven't told Sean about the project we may do yet. I need to make sure it is a doable with Grammy first. In the photo that follows of all my grands Sean is the one to my right in red ...can't you tell?????
Bev - Glad to hear you are progressing so well. Keep up the good work!!!
Barb, wonderful picture with all the kids!
Bev, so glad to hear you are improving!
Betty I love the little chair!!
The Birdbath is fabulous.....Laura and Sage would love that one...they both love Blue!
My garden is pretty much done for the year...still have a few geraniums and zinnias...the late planted gourd is still blooming....and Sedum Auntum Joy is a stunning dark burgundy bloom this year.....it hasn't been this dark in past seasons....something to do with the weather perhaps?
I have been enjoying painting with Sage....at the rate she is learning she will far surpass me in the not too distant future!
Bill still has a bad cough.....his cold is getting better, but sensibly no bike ride in the cool damp air today....hoping to get some help with a few projects around here instead.
Hope you all have a great afternoon....will check in later.
Well I'd say that man was off his medication. He's probably been in and out of the hospital quite a few times in his life.
I've been harvesting hardy Hibiscus seeds too, I have some Luna seeds available...
Betty I agree, those stones and agates are beautiful! How is Braedon doing? Is Caleb getting over his fear yet?
Bev I'm glad you had the surgery and are on the road to recovery, and Scotty is doing well?
Waving to everyone!! Had my conference last Thursday and Friday in West Memphis and it went without a hitch. My boss Jeff kept saying that he didn't have to do anything, I took care of it all and the coordinators said it was the best conference they've had in 5+ years. Yay now I'm going to ask for a day off!
I'm not getting a restraining order, never did in CA either. There are several reasons for that:
1. You have to get the person you're restraining into court with you.
2. Here in Arkansas if you don't want someone on your property you can have them removed. It's not illegal to threaten with a gun, and if they start threatening you, it's ok to shoot them.
3. I work for the State Prosecutor Coordinator's Office and have lots and lots of law enforcement and prosecutor's backing me up.
Ok, I thought I sent this around 11 this morning, but it's still sitting here LOL!!
crissyr what is luna seed..
Tubby
Crissy, that is pretty, if you get any extra seeds, you know where to send them please?
Another cold day, heavy rains..
Told Bernie not to come and finish projects I've hired him to do..he's just getting over pneumonia and doesn't need to be in and out of the cold..I can be patient (sometimes) lol
Caleb and Bradedon are doing ok..both getting over the episode..not sure how they'll react when they see the neighbor outside, am sure they'll take a wide berth..
Crissy, wonderful that all complimented you on your organizational skills, you do deserve a day off...
Trisha, you will have to show us more of Jade's art as I so enjoy...did try growing gourds before but our season is much too short..must tell you, bought a gourd a Michael's 40% off..had a green tinge to it so I automatically thought it ready to pain (you know what thought did), painted it to look like a ghost holding a pumpkin, cute little thing, but when I sprayed it much of it's green came out..drats...oh well, he just looks antique...leave him like that I guess...Bernice was over for tea and cake yesterday afternoon and she thought I'd done a specialty effect to get it that way..she's far too nice!
Brought in a wooden sock ready to paint a snowman within and my wool for the crochet quilt patterned afghan and can't quite decide what I want to do...
Lunch time,
Enjoy the day, hope your weather is better than mine!
Thank you Betty, I'm going to ask him today, of course I have 70 hours of sick leave built up and we only accumulate up to 80 hours then we start losing it so maybe I should do that instead, but of course when it ices I'll use it because I won't drive in the ice.
Yesterday it was a high of 56 and raining all day, today it's supposed to be 61, drizzly, and overcast. Tomorrow is 80 and thunderstorms, and I don't remember the rest of the week but I know it's rain all week. It'll change by then anyway lol
An antique ghost holding a pumpkin, now that's a good idea actually.
o.k. as promised I'm going to post some photo's as ideas for the 3rd. Annual Christmas workshop...trying to find something that everyone could do even with no previous painting experience...
Don't have a program that allows me put them all on a photo sheet so will have to post individually..
What I'm looking for is suggestions as to wether any of these interest you or if you have something more specific in mind..
Also keeping in mind shipping issues...
Once we find something of interest...I could over the next 2 weeks get the kits organized so that when I travel to Frankenmuth on the 16th I'll be able to post them state side...

This one is actually beautiful when done ... found it to be a little blah...I changed it where the candycanes cross, I've cut out a primitive star with greenery then made a large ribbon in color of choice into a bow and added glitter snow and mini sparkles...

Oh Betty, I love them all! I think any one of them I could paint, does not look too hard to do!
