Best - A co-worker is helping me get integrated into a new project at work; my boss knows the kind of success generated work to give me, and he does.

Worst - Finding that people in my company, who don't know me, think I'm delegating work to lessen my plate cuz I'm lazy. (and the best part of that is - those who know me, know it couldn't be further from the truth!!)

Learned - that there are people who will travel between buildings (11 miles) just to help me setup equipment, when they know I'm short-staffed in my building. There are some beautiful, hardworking people in the company!

You know, it's just that I get so lonely, i feel like all I ever do is clean and never looks or stays that way!

I did get to work in the yard for a little bit, All the while thinking how I wasted the whole summer doing a whole lot of nothing.
of course I got a million and one reasons, sigh in the long run...the main thing, I think was when someone sprayed the killer stuff on my plants, i was just done.

Speaking of which, Today..I am going to scrub this place down again. Work hard this am and play this afternoon!

Judy I'm feeling like that right now, when someone in the office has a catastrophe or something serious or could be serious happens everyone in the office gathers in the lobby and we all meet and talk about it. Last night on myspace I had an email from July from a violent ex-boyfriend waiting for me. I wanted to tell the group, no one listened or cared, they just started talking over me when I was telling them the story. So I'll tell ya'll the story about him if you want to read it:

I was on facebook last night and my good friend in CA said she posted pictures on MySpace. I haven't been on myspace in about a year, but I wanted to see so I went over there, logged in, and had a slew of emails, one of them being from my violent ex-boyfriend Scott. The poor guy is Bipolar and Paranoid Schizophrenia and very dangerous, of course I dated him when I was 24, 25, and 26 and I knew he was Bipolar without medication but the Schizophrenia hadn't came out yet. I was always dodging objects, he really liked taking a 6 pack of Pepsi in the cans and spinning them in the air and wherever they land is where they landed. I got good at dodging. Anyway, when I broke up with him and kicked him out of my house he told me he was going to burn my house down with me in it, so I stayed at a co-workers house and ended up dating him for 5 years lol. To make a long story shorter, my best friend/brotherly type Steve decided that his wife Tara, who was a Psychiatry Major in Jr. College, said that it was me, not Scott, and moved him in with them. Needless to say that 10 year friendship with Steve went down the toilet, and about 6 months later Scott was going to jail for flashing little girls because the voices told him to. Of course Steve tried to apologize without apologizing but it was done, I can't be friends with someone who is going to take sides like that, he knew me better than that.
Scott used to be super skinny always wearing skin tight Wranglers and t-shirts, always looked nice. His picture on myspace shows him in the Sierra Nevada mountains somewhere, he got fat and is balding, has on a camouflage wife beater with khaki's, and prison tattoos, and now he knows where I am. The email had the subject line of "Tiga" and he said, "How are you and Tiga doing?" My picture that shows on my profile is a wedding pic so it's very clear to everyone, and I'm sure he knows I'm in AR now. I think I'm going to run a background check on him to see exactly how much trouble he's been in and if he is a Registered Sex Offender. His name is Scott Eugene Naylor.

There's no reason to get a restraining order, he's in Ceres, CA, I'm in Malvern, AR and it's on a public website. All he did was ask how I was doing back in July. No biggie and I can tell by looking at him he can't afford to come cross country, and if he's a registered sex offender he can't leave state lines anyway.

Hi everyone, Busy day for me. My son and his family flew in from Colorado today. It's been five years since they were here and I've been cleaning house. This morning I made 11 dozen cookies!!!! We are having a big family cookout on Friday so I know they will all go!! I thought my arm would fall off from stirring all that dough.
Then I worked for a while on my "tree" quilt. It is the first art quilt I've tried and so far so good. I'm working really slowly on it as this type of quilting is new to me.
Dinner is ready (frozen lasagna I put up a month ago) so must go. Enjoy your evening.

Morning, another month..it's only 44 here today, brrrr time to get my snuggies out..going shopping for new office wardrobe tonight after I visit funeral home...

Extremely busy here at work for yet another 3 or 4 days..Jeff (my youngest) designed a program that will make my job even easier (not sure how that can be possible) just think of the extra crafts I'll be able to do then!!! lol..

Tired of keying in info so taking a quick break, lordy the day is flying by..

Stayed late last night to keep Jeff company while he put the new system in working order, got home just in time for the girls..omg too cute..they have 3 christmas projects (easy/easy) on the go, one girl brought in a photo of a christmas deer that you put a wreath with lights around his neck..we thought we all should have one..so I took out my projector, we enlarged a photo 2" x 4" into a deer that will be 46" high by 18" wide..as you can see we're all getting into the Christmas spirit..wish Michaels would do same, putting us behind because we cannot get some of the materials needed until after Halloween..

Final touches to back deck and trimming the 7 doors has been put on hold, Bernie has pneumonia..drats, he's always ill..I'm being more than patient though, am thrilled to death as to what he accomplished last week..

Almost Friday, going to Meaford Saturday for the Applefest/Scarecrow Festival..probably about 600 scrarecrows throught the town..2 major facilities with arts/crafts...a wharehouse that has merchandise to die for, a candle factory that puts up a big tent and has mega sales (indoor/outdoor decor) so anxious to attend...

Doing wel with my diet I guess..lost 8 lbs...feel badly though because Suzanne and I started same time, I on weight watchers and she on Bernstein ..she gets needles almost every day and she's lost 36 lbs. in same 6 weeks...but I'll keep trecking losing my way, the hard way...

Have the house decorated for Halloween, I'm like Liz, another favorite time of year to decorate...am now doing another outdoor free standing witch for the lawn and pumpkins..will have to work overtime on it in order to get it on the lawn by next weekend our Thanksgiving..

Barb, how nice to have your family visiting..set aside the quilting and enjoy their company..long winter ahead...was it you who asked for the door hanger quilted with snowman? Haven't forgotten your trees/snowmen for a work project for the little one..it will be in the mail shortly...

yesterday's best/worse/what did I learn?

Best...my washer went on the blink, Darlene (friend) called go gab, told her about it, she said 'call sears and have them come out'..said I wasn't sure who I'd call because who ever it is has to do nights or weekends'...when I moved into my home, actually 5 years ago today, I purchased 5 new appliances..put it on her Sears Card at that time because not only could you get a better deal purchasing 5 but you got points..total cash back was $175. - well, she tells me when my 2 year warrantee came up after the 2 yrs. she paid for extended warrantee on the items..so far on washer/dryer and dishwasher was almost $500. - I was in shock..not overly pleased she did so, know she and hubby are very wealthy and they are always doing specialty things for me, but that's going beyond what 'friends' should do..I'll give her $$$ she paid..like doing things for myself...that will not please either her or Mike...anyway, hopefully Thursday my dryer will be serviced and washer repaired...

Worse...my grandsons Caleb (10) Braedon (12) were playing hide'n'seek outside the other night with about 4 more children..Braedon and 2 others were hiding behind the bushes 2 doors down from their home, Caleb, looking to find them walked on a gentleman's (better change that meaning - no gentleman) grass and he came out using extreme profanity even to telling Caleb he was going to go and do something terrible to Caleb's mom..Caleb was frightened...when the other children heard this they came out to tell the man they were just playing and sorry if Caleb went on his lawn..Braedon, apologized..at this point in time the man came and grabbed Braedon by the throat, threw him to the grown and started kicking and hitting him...other neighbors came out when they heard the yelling of children...police arrived, put each of the children in different rooms and questioned them, finding all their stories matched..Braedon's neck is terribly bruised, not moving the best re ribs...they arrested this man and he has been charged....

Playing hide'n'seek can be a loud and joyous thing, regardless, go tell the parents if you think they are a nuissance, not beat them up!!!

What did I learn...you can still teach old dogs new tricks...

OMG Betty!! Is Braedon really okay? I hope your son had him checked out at a hospital. That way there is documentation about physical injuries. I just don't understand that kind of behavior in anyone. It's bad enough that kids can be so cruel to each other without an adult doing something like this.
On a lighter note, I'm not the one who needs a quilted snowman I have already made one. I am working on my first "art" quilt. It is a winter scene with bare trees.. Sounds bad I know but I think it will be nice. I am doing some types of quilting that I've never tried before. I'll take a picture after the kids go home to show my work in progress.....
Sounds like your festival will be a lot of fun. I think you need some fun right now. I'm sorry to hear about Bernie. Please tell him the friend he has never met in NH sends best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Yes, Judy, I think I will set aside the quilting while the kids are here from COLO. Although I was just told that my granddaughter brought her stuffed animal all the way here because Grammy is the only one who can fix it correctly!!! How's that for a vote of confidence? So I guess I'll be at the machine anyway!!

Funny story Betty. In 1999 Norm had a fantastic sounding job opportunity in New Mexico. We wondered for months - should we go or not? Finally we decided if we didn't go, we would always be wondering "What if". So we packed up what we needed, left our home with our daughter and family and off we went. We were there for two months or so with no family nearby. We did drive 8 hours to Colorado Springs to be with our son and his family every other weekend. But boy did we miss all our other children back here in New England. I was going into a real bad depression and trying so hard not to let Norm know as I thought this was a good move for him.
In the meantime, Norm is going crazy because the job was not anything like he had been told. To make this saga a bit shorter, our grandson called one night and wanted to know when Papa was coming home. His train was broken and only Papa could fix it. We packed up and were on our way back within a day....... Told nobody that we were coming and suprised them all. I can't imagine living anywhere else now and I'm so glad my grandchildren think only Norm and I can fix their toys and such for them. We are truly blessed....

oh as for halloween have to help someone move on sat, was suppose to be up and running this weekend too many set backs ran out of house light clips had to order them on line now that they finally arrived we can resume boy just to much going on and trying to find time to complete this is becomming a chore, i know about the raccoon one of thease days im going to get it lol

Barb / Betty I'm in zone 5 and they have done well..We cut them back in the spring..About 4" or 5" above ground..They are a little slow coming up..
The new comes from the roots,not the old stems..
I'll send you each some seeds..Easy to start..

It rained & its still spitting..When it drys up a bit I'll get Shirley to pick some more seed pods..I can do this sitting on my butt..LOL

I've got some Hibiscus Canabinis Amethyst from a plant I was given, and I'm Hooked!

If anyone would like some seeds of these, I'll send some, to you.

I thought there was only the original red ones you grow inside, but now I see the single ones are beautiful too. Mine grew 6 ft tall!! Greeted me every morning on my deck with up to 11 new blooms every morning. Too bad they only last 1 day!
