Here is a new Gypsy thread, and photos from the garden as requested.
Gypsies on Vacation!
For goodness sakes! Is the "pitcher" hard or soft? How deep is it?
I went on vacation too late. I put a post over on the other thread.
If they are carnivorous, what do they eat?
I was thinking that it was kind of a gourd before I knew that!
Catch up later Guys, off to get the Kid....sweet night...Moon
ps I love vacations....grin
I wish we could smell it!
'Night everyone! Or whoever is there! Sweet dreams!
Quick hello and good night to all.
These pictures are like being on vacation. They are great as usual.
Not to worry Dave the kids have already been told that these pumpkins are for jack-o-lanterns only no insides or seeds will be eaten or saved. And I always get the good job of cleaning them out so I can make sure of it.
Have a pleasant night all.
Catch up with you tomorrow
very nice as usual!
Kea looks tenured *grin*
Morning all. Thanks for the tour, Dave.
Good Morning Gypsies. I love being on vacation....grin Going for a morning swim then breakfast...back later.
Aloha ahiahi Dave!
The colors are just gorgeous!
Does Dracaena fragrans 'Compacta' smell like lemon-lime?
Are all Bromeliads that large? Rachel, is yours that size?
Can you eat the fruit from the Ti plants? without dying?!
Are Kea and Ku related? They look so sweet together! We never see Ku outside.
We will see you later!
Nice, Moon!
Lynnie, how was the party? Did you save us any cake?
Moon, that is quite a bloom!!! How large was your cactus?
Morning all,
Dave great as always love that Anthurium "obake".
Lynnie hope you survived.
Swim moon, I wish. nice cactus bloom.
GS back to normal terror status. Fed the dog his donuts and he had dog biscuits. Let the dog outside and GS came back with a "bunny" which was actually a mouse. No idea where it came from, dog must have brought it to the door.DIL is suppose to be after him but she is not driving fast enough!! :)
Catch you all later
ROFL!!!!! So absolutely funny!!!
Just the GS breakfast was funny. But then his "bunny." He is all boy! LOL
As the old saying goes, Thank Heaven for little girls, cuz little boys can drive ya to distraction (or maybe destruction....lol)
My "swim" was a walk through the rain to get the Newspaper....lol..it has finally stopped, so gonna try to get a little more weeding in....oh what an exciting life I lead....grin.
Well, it is raining here with gray skies. I would call it more of a sprinkle. It is not raining enough to stop Kitty from going outside and me from picking my cherry tomatoes! My 2 plants have produced plenty of tomatoes for me.
Moon, so how big is that cactus, as large as the flower?
Have you seen Pirl's gardens? I looked at just her irises, tons of them and extremely beautiful!
The whole cactus is comprised of about 30 segments the size of the one in the picture. it probably had 15 open blooms and may 2 dozen buds on it. truly spectacular.
Haven't seen Pirl's pictures...what forum is it on?
Good morning everybody! Aloha kakahiaka!
Hey Jean, the Star Cactus is not actually a Cactus but a Stapelia, maybe Stapelia nobilis.
Dracaena fragrans smells like nothing else, it fills the night air.
Ti fruit is edible, but tastes kinda dry. I feed the fruit to the chickens.
Bromeliads come in all kinds of sizes; some larger than a human; some can fit in your hand.
Here is some of the smaller ones, Cryptanthus.
