Flowers I am the only one around here that eats tomatoes, so don't can them. Looks like I'll have to make that hot salsa, cause I'm not going to let them go bad.

yes JJ, they are the perfect winter can food can make so many dishes with them. I usually make salsa but getting slack the last couple of years.

I wish I lived close to you girls who are overloaded with tomatoes!!!!

The other day I saw a chef on TV peal tomatoes like you would peal potatoes with a peeler. A lot of work if you have a ton of tomatoes!

Now those chanterelle mushrooms sound very good. I looked them up and they make them sound like the best mushroom there is!

Flowers Salsa is the only thing my DH will eat with tomatoes in it.
He doesn't even eat spagetti sauce on spagetti. If he orders a hamburger and a pickle or tomato touch it he won't eat it. Otherwise he will eat about anything and never complain.

I tell him he's wierd!! Will eat nasty liverand onions.

But most of these were taken at a Wildlife Sanctuary, except Footless of course ^_^

JJ my kids are all about some of mom's chili in the winter and home made soup.

We have a Wildlife Sanctuary on my way home from work venice, so I stopped in there. Hadn't been there in years.......
I wanted to take the quail home :-(

Venice if I thought they would get there in one piece and not mushy I would send you some!!

JJ, this is better then a zoo. Lots of trails to walk on and lots of animals, and it's all free!

Ever hear of pyola insecticide?
Dh cleaned out shed for a lady. Her late husband was quite the gardener. Brought me home couple gallons of liquid kelp, gal of copper soap fungicide and gal of this pyola stuff. Everything says see enclosed pamphlet.

Its from gardens alive maybe I can google it.
