I found you ............LOL

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Well Jean, it looks like I am the only one who found you so far.......

That's okay Kassy...if you post it they will come.....lol

Looks like Kitty knows when it is bed time for Mom, eh? It has been raining since I got up this morning and doesn't look like it is planning on stopping any time soon. If it is raining tomorrow, it will delay mailing out the gingers and daylily plants. I won't dig them up when the ground is that soaked...well, actually I won't dig them up when it is lightning....LOL

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Hi Kassy will check my dmail
Just picked 2- 5 gal buckets of tomatoes

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Its nice here you can come help me moon.

DH is not nice when he has to help with the pool he didn't want and never uses. OK he will use it for a grandkid but that is all.

Draining water level for winter. Got everything ready, turned it on and the hose blew, glad it wasn't me standing there.LOL

Told him to go away for the day, I wanted help not advice.

Can't hang long just getting a cold one.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Moon, the last one you suggested said that it has fern-like leaves and a camphor-like scent. My plant has neither of those.

You think I should get some root stimulator? Can I wait unti tomorrow?

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

And we have been in a drought up here.
Jean send that rain this way!!!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Found you. Moon, I was coming from a more humble side. Never to BE AS, only to BE WITH. To BE AS sounds arrogant to me.

I am going to what I believe will end up being my son's MIL someday, for dinner. Just moved up here from Texas, lovely people. It's a strange concept for me when I think of it, but I think I'm dealing with my kids growing up quite well. I think Son had a harder time with moving out than we did.

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Oh, and thanks for the link. I bookmarked it so I can check it out at my leisure. The coleus I bought this year were from that company.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

By the way, I've worked for a swimming pool chemical and equipment company for 22 years if anyone has any questions...

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Oh man, no rain in site all week. But just wait until winter hits and we will be hit with lots of snow......

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Sounds like you are gonna be making more salsa, or spaghetti sauce, JJs. grin. Maybe you could only use a portion of that Mrs Wage packet...that way it wouldn't be so hot....ya know, a little goes a long way....grin

Best ya sent him on his way...when DHJim gets that way I just want him to go somewhere else before the fireworks start....grin

Carol, I just really don't know what to tell you about the artemisia, other than leave it where it is and see what happens. I think they are fairly hardy. Dave is more knowledgeable on them than I am.

On the root stimulator, there is no rush....it can be used at any time after planting to help give the roots a boost. It is water soluble and used when you would normally water the plant.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

OK, bed time for me, so I can go back into work again tonight.
Have a good day everyone ^_^

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Kassy, sleep well. On your map, if ya look at La, I am right there next to the AH, moderate drought still....Hopefully all this will go north....I can hope Kassy....grin

Julie, I thought my friend's answer was totally arrogant, but then that is the sort of person he is....a "see ya for short visits, small doses" kinda guy Grin. I understood your reference was to connection with, not equal to, the creator.
Good you get the opportunity to know your prospective in-laws in advance....makes everyone a bit more comfortable. Have a great dinner/visit. Empty nest wasn't a trauma for us either....having it refilled was harder....GRIN

More to do....catch you all later.....sweet Sunday afternoon....

Glenview, IL

Thanks for the Directions to new Gypsie room Moon!!
Yep marshmellows, graham crackers and Chocolate a must!!

Hey all having a fire tonight, Join me if you will!

lol, here is my post on the other thread...ROFLOL, I can see I am going to have to dance pretty fast to keep up with you all!

Hi there!

Thank you for such a nice welcome...
LOL, you all move pretty quick!
Please forgive me, it kinda sorta takes me awhile to get acculated.

OH wow, Footless is amazing.

Such a pretty day, I am enjoying working outside...
Does anybody enjoy an outdoor fire? Decided I will do that tonight...Been a very long time.

Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine of today.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Dave and Moon, thank you so much to identify this unidentified plant. I looked at so many plants on the computer that I fell asleep a couple of times! I will just accept it as The Plant that is a perennial. We certainly gave it a very good try.

I probably won't be around the rest of today. I have some important things to get done by tonight (and here I was out with the flowers)! For some reason it is always easier to let anything go and go play in the garden!

Have a good day and evening!

I will play catch up tomorrow.

See you later!

Keaau, HI

You will certainly see if it is evergreen or deciduous as the winter months approach!

(Zone 5b)

check out this beehive...

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

so what else do we need to go with the 'smores? ^_^

From what I understand, Dave should bring the chocolate!

Welcome Seed! Cool beehive Lynnie!

(Zone 5b)

I agree with you Smiley, (be as = arrogance,is wildly presumptuous, and certainly megalomaniac) I was thinking oh boy I hope that man isn't a doctor!
Gotta get back outside, catch up later! :)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Aren't those paper wasps Lynnie? Might wanna give that a wide berth if it is in your yard....I am more than once bitten always shy where wasps are concerned..... I am really more chicken than Footless...grin

Venice, so sorry we couldn't get a good solid ID on your plant....hope ya have a sweet evening...see ya tomorrow.

Beats me Dave...I do not know the artemisias well at all.

Seed, toss in any time....grin the more the merrier.

Julie, guess you are getting ready for dinner....have a great time...catch ya later....for s'mores....grin....at Seed's.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

No, not a med doc....a Dr of Physics and Chemistry...empirical to a fault.....though and very strange.

(Zone 5b)

yes they're paper wasps, and the hive is on a neighbor's property...JJ wouldn't that be cool for science class? I think it was already sprayed, those wasps weren't moving. A closer up...I didn't get too close, just in case...

count me in for s'mores! :)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

My red passion vine is blooming....in the bottle brush shrub....managed to get a picture....and a link to the religious legend for any interested.....http://www.radiantlifekeithville.com/legend.html

Also discovered one of my really old roses blooming......the elderly lady that gave it to me 20 years ago said it was her mother's favorite. She said it was a Scottish name that she couldn't remember....I just think it is sweet.

(Zone 5b)

oooh nice pics Moon!
I'm on chocolate break (couldn't wait for the s'mores)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Thanks Lynn, I was doing the same....dark chocolate to sweeten my coffee. Gotta funny feeling it will be a while before s'mores. grin

(Zone 5b)

I'm kinda cranky...too much entertaining in one week...it's nice but I'm tired of cleaning up. September is always such a busy month for us. Kids are overtired from company last night. Early to bed!
I saw a blue mist caryopteris today, the lines were very long but I may go back for it tomorrow. It was so pretty. Completely covered with wasps,though....it will be a delicate operation getting that one in my car! lol My cornflower rebloomed today, that was a cool surprise...it must be enjoying the cooler weather, it looks bigger too.

Oh my husband & I flipped the rock that will sit next to Harry, guess what was under it...baby slugs ugh...glad it's waaay out back right now!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

At least it was just slugs and not snakes....I hear ya on the cranky....three days of cancelled garden work for rain....this is the time of year I start to get edgy about lost time in the garden. Been watching the weeds grow with all the rain and didn't get the weed whacking finished.....oh well, always something.

Sounds like an early evening at Lynnie's....surely the nursery will see to removing the wasps.....can't imagine getting into the car with a wasp.....grin...cluck, cluck....

(Zone 5b)

we have a lot of hawks around, no snakes in this "field" lol

Glenview, IL

Wow, your flowers are incredible Moon!
very nice photos.

Oh my gosh, that is some hive Linnie. Must be the year for hives, Bev and a couple of others have them too!
we have one up in the tree at the cottage.

It's kind of neat to see all the different structures.
heres mine.

Ok...getting ready to strike up the fire.
grab a drink and a chair...

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Cool. I love hawks. Looks like the Sorrow=Melancholy thread sorta died...guess there was just so much to be said about it. Had hoped to get another discussion of sorts going, but guess everyone is too busy with end of summer projects.

Have some more chocolate....probably rain before we get the fire lit anyway....grin

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Lynnie that beehive would be cool for science class. You got way closer that I would have.
That was a big rock hope your husband is lots bigger than you!!

Moon it will have to be salsa DH don't eat spagetti sauce.
DH went to garage ( his sanctuary) after being told to go away. Bout 20 minutes later he came back out and helped without the advice. After all these years I can play him like a fiddle!! He is even outside cooking supper on grill.

Seedtosser I'll have some Smores for dessert please.

Smiley nice to know you have all that pool experience. Mine done pretty good this year for the lousy pool weather we had, and I think I have it put up now for the year. Will keep you in mind tho if I have questions.

Kassy do not dmail her and tell her to run the other way if I have problems. LOL

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Clucking more....really do not like wasps....grin

Thanks Seed, they are finally getting some adequate water....maybe too much if this keeps up....gosh I am picky.....grab up some franks and sausage.....on our way.....grin
