I see ya Kassy!
Row on over for a fish roast!
GYPSY LIVES, GARDEN STORIES and FOOTLESS CHICKENS
apparently I should never have planted the darn things in the first place!
OK that's it JJ has to join PAA (Plant Addicts Anonymous) Toooooooo!!!!!
Who coulda pass that up?
I was good ,I didn't buy one of each they also had cone flowers, catnip, foxglove, ornamental strawberry, tiny yellow asiatic lily, orange asiatic lily, and shasta daisies.
The daylilies and peonies were all gone or I would have more I'm sure.
Right place right time I guess. or just lucky today
JJ, those 50 cent plants look great! At Lowe's they are still selling nearly half dead plants for full price. Nearly dead small pots of mums are 50 cents but I wouldn't buy that. I will not go over to Home Depot!!!!
I went to Lowe's today but just bought top soil, peat, and potting soil. So expensive just for dirt!!
tha's a great deal JJ!...and I'm sure they will look lovely at the palace of weeds...I will keep the palace in mind to when I take rose starts in spring...you sadi she was blind so scent was important...I have a few that are very fragrant that would be perfect
JJ, goodness! It is a wonder you didn't get more at that price and variety!
I have to get that stuff at wal mart...gotta go tomorrow for pots for the roses and some more dirt and some sphagnum (sp?) moss
Trina, what are you going to do with that live moss?
Thanks for the offer Dave, but I can't tonight. Gotta work.
Moon, are you here or are you doing more of that Algebra? Or can someone else help.
I was just wondering if I could dig up sweet potato vine tubers now? Or when is the earliest can I do that?
Dave, I don't mean to seem dense. But once you have found the endangered species and grow rare plants, then what?
Really great weeds! They could be a nice bush here.
Venice, I have one of them..............LOL
Dave most roses are but tree roses can't handle being frozen cause the graft is at the top and exposed where as the grafts on the regular roses are below the dirt, unless it is a start you made yourself, roses are grafted.
Venice I use sphagnum moss as a kinda mulch under the mulch
Kassy, you have one of what? One of those HI weeds?
No a rare plant ^_^
I protect it.
Actually there are 4 or 5 or more of them where I found them.
Kassy, I suppose that is better than just peat? Where do you get it? I have never seen it here.
No, that can't be a weed! We have plants so similar to that here.
Uh Dave you could send me a bunch of that "weed" I wouldn't mind...I swear...lol
Great haul JJs....shame your friend won't be able to see how pretty they will look. Don't ya just love 4 cycle engines.....grin
I never find anything "cool" just weeds and raspberries and wild roses
We have the wild roses here too trina
argh! I just had some argue with me that you can't grow passionflower in the house...Pam did it look my Passionflower was floundering to you?
Trina, what do you mean you don't have anything cool?!!! You have tons of cool plants!
Moon, I didn't see anything where it says how soon you can dig them up. They are starting to annoy me. I guess I can dig at leat one or two up now. ??
what's that one called Dave?
Dave, looks like Giant ferns from the forty...........LOL
Oh Kassy those are fine. One day I will have the greenhouse set up to be able to grow succulents....too wet otherwise.
Dave, was that Lambic ? Or just a good end of trip beer?
No venice, I meant when I go for a walk in the woods..I never find anything cool there..but then again maybe cause I'm seeing the same old thing everytime...so I will take pics and post them and see it through someone elses eyes for awhile
Kassy, what was that flower with all the seeds?
Dave, every time you post a photo, I am going ooooh! ooooh! ooooh!
Venice, you can dig them up now or cut them back and dig them up after the first frost. All you have to do is keep them in a cool place protected from freezing over winter.
so what are we digging up and protecting from freezing?
Trina, I know a while back you had posted some wildflowers or weeds from your walk. Those were really nice.
