GYPSY LIVES, GARDEN STORIES and FOOTLESS CHICKENS
where did everybody go?
hhhmmm the cats are away the mice will play...hehehehe
Sorry Trina, got pulled away. Gotta run some errands!
it's ok I'm playing in some other forums trying to get some plants identified
Well, some would make unpleasant statements. When I was offended, they would say, "I'm gonna whip your butt." Liar! Liar! The first place they always hit me was on my big ole nose.
hey jim! how's your day?
When my second son was born everyone in the family commented on how much he looked like DHJim's father....My father in law took one look at him and commented,"I had to get my nose broken a bunch of times to get it to look like that.". Jason turned out to be quite the scrapper, just like his Papa.....but he never got his nose broken....grin
Aloha ahiahi, Dave. Figured you must be working. When does the new info site open?
I was wondering where every body was at
Hey Jean, do you mean the plant society web-site? It may take a while, as the guy I work with (Rex) is a bit casual. If you Google Big Island Native Plant Society, you will find the site, but it is still under construction.
Here is Honoli'i Stream. Run-off for the largest watershed in the State of Hawai'i.
oh Dave that is beautiful! I wish I could get a full size poster of that for my meditation room....wow absolutely beautiful
Dave, that is the most perfect stream I have ever seen!
Moon, where it that lovely falls? It is so tall!
i Don't know but If I have your permission to download it maybe my kid can put it on a flashdrive....kinkos can make poster sized pictures
That water fall is in the mountains of Northernmost Queensland Australia. I took the picture from the train on the way up to Kuranda from Cairns. This is part of the rainforest of Northern Au....An interesting note....there is a cemetary beside the train tracks that was the burial site for all those who died during the construction of the train track throught the mountains. Malaria and accidents were the two most prevalent causes of death. Knowing how many gave there lives for it made the ride that much more special and a bit sobering....Australia is a beautiful, but oft times dangerous country.
Brisbane celebrated its' 150th anniversary while we were there this summer...it is a beautiful, well designed city.

wow your guys' pics are awesome...now I feel bad cause all I give you is bad pictures of my sad plants
Those are beautiful Dave. I think I may have to post on the Au site to get an ID on the plants. I was amazed at the tenacity of things to grow there....not the most hospitable of locations.
Kassy posted a new picture of FOOTLESS in the (in honor of Dave) thread for those of you that missed the first one.
yeah I saw that Moon
he's a handsome cluck, he is!
That is why he stays in the garden rather than on the table.....grin
i"m in trouble now...I just got my new Park seed catalog
Are those homes or work stations or park buildings beneath the bridge?
uhg!!! we have a "per day edit limit?"...argh!
That is breath taking, Dave. There must be 6 or more shades of blue between ocean and sky. Wow
my dream! someday, hopefully
What a neat thing to do. It preserves a part of history and adds usefulness to the site at the same time,Nice
See us waving to you from the other side of the ocean Dave?
Those clouds are so beautiful!
Such nice coast lines!
Dave, I must have join the group late. I am sure everyone else knows. But what do you do there? What is your job? How long have you been there? I hope you don't mind me asking but I just can't figure out how you know so much!
Man just when I thought I was done.....I now have to dig 6 of my roses up and over winter them in the house!
