They are all so lovely.

Thanks for posting your pics, flowerjen and fancyvan. Royal Club is a very pretty one, you will love it. I was thinking I maybe should have ordered Raspberries and Cream.

I have a few more I can post today, but then it's someone else's turn.

Here is White Henryi, an Aurelian hybrid. Perfectly hardy for me.

This is Vermeer, an Asiatic

I'm always impressed by Sweet Surrender. This year, this Asiatic thought it was on steroids. Grew to over six feet high.

I can't recall the name of this one right now, but here it is anyway.

Lilies are some of the nicest flowers you can have in the garden. By planting the different varieties, you can see lilies for 2- 3 months!

'Tiger Babies' is rock solid, propagates well, and while it blooms, I always envision what a whole field of them must look like!

I think this is 'Lily Simonet'

There is nothing like lily blooming time. With a few, you can have an explosion of beautiful color.

I believe this is 'Red Raven'

What is everyone's favorite oriental???

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

The Queen named orientals from Buggy Crazy are some of my favorites. They hold up here in zone 5 and actually multiply, besides being absolutely gorgeous!

Absolutely gorgeous lilies folks...just might have to do some re-arranging in the garden to acommodate a bunch of those.

Still drooling over them. Echoes, you have a stunning collection there.

I'd like to say to everyone who has posted pictues - your lilys are so beautiful and colourful; I am jealous.

I love looking at lily's I however severely dislike the smell of them - plus I have hayfever and lilys seem to make it worse :(.

Y'all, this is NOT my picture but was the opening shot from an email I received from WFF last summer. They call it their "Strawberries and Cream" collection (Asiatics) and it took my breath away. Did I order it? Absolutely, but I'm not telling how many. You'd think I was crazy (I think I am too). They're supposed to be shipped in October and I can't wait to see what they'll look like next spring. First time lily-grower here. Wish me luck!

Good luck. What is WFF?

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

White Flower Farm. I believe they purchase some of their mixes from the Lily Garden. So it should be a nice mix. Do show us your pictures next summer!

Newnan, GA(Zone 7b)

Thank you both. I probably should have spelled it out. They are one of the distributors used by Better Homes & Gardens. I got their website from the BHG site. This is the first time I've ordered from them. Those colors were so gorgeous I couldn't resist. Will definitely post photos next spring.

Good luck. I hope they are just as beautiful as they look in the photo.

WFF, of course. Just doesn't come automatically to me as I can't order from them. When you get serious about growing lilies, you will probably want to order directly from a place like The Lily Garden.

Echoes,
I'm trying NOT to get serious! LOL But it's going to be so hard. All your pinks and whites are so gorgeous. I bought that mix before I knew anything about Asiatics. Had to look up the difference between Asiatics and Orientals and was a little disappointed that that Asiatics are not as fragrant. However, they are said to be a little smaller than the Orientals and that's more what I was looking for.

Pirl, I came across that picture of your lilies under the tree a week or so ago and saved it in my "garden ideas" folder on my desktop. Hope you don't mind. I have a huge oak tree in the middle of my back yard too. Need ideas bad! Thanks for letting me "borrow." I am just starting, as I have said, and have a blank slate before me. Whole garden photos are so helpful ... or at least whole garden "rooms."

You're certainly welcome to borrow any ideas at all. I'm complimented. Thanks.

If I had it to do over again (sounds like a good name for a thread) I'd probably have gone with all named varieties instead of buying two mixes at different times but I do love it when they're all in bloom even if it's not "color harmony", which I dearly love.

This was taken two years ago and since then I've added about two dozen or more.

Your garden room under the tree is so pretty and inviting and the mix of colors just makes it more interesting. It's probably even more stunning now that you have added more. Since I'm so new, you don't know how proud I am just to be able to name most of the plants you have ... and they are some of my favorites. Isn't that ajuga on the edge of the planting? I didn't know it would grow in the sun. Here I think it's a shade plant. Also think I see a castor bean plant in that urn. Love those!

"If I had it to do over again ..." That really would be a good name for a new thread. :-) I'm sure some of you who are experienced might want to start over with parts of your gardens if you had known then what you do now.

I have never ordered lilies before, much less a mix, and I have no idea if they will tell me the names of the different colored lilies or what. If they don't, it will be a lesson learned, but I still think the mix will be beautiful if I can get it to grow. Thanks for the good luck wishes. I'll probably need it.

Thanks, Judy.

Yes, it is ajuga at the edge and it was Castor Bean Plant. I threw the seeds to that one over the edge of a fence. I'll take a photo when the sun comes up - wow!

I even started a thread about "If I had it to do over...": http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1041379/

They probably will tell you the names of the lilies but if they don't you can always write to them, with your order number, and ask. They're good with things like that.
