Hi Rachel. Good evening to ya The young lady in Kassy's cat picture is her BF's daughter I believe is what she said. She posted that pic a few weeks ago to show us the kitties....who knows what thread it was on. grin I really only don't like Algebra because I can never remember all the formulas and have to keep looking them up....that and the fact with my dyslexia i keep transposing the silly variables....grin

Hope you and the rest of the gang have a good evening, going to go play a few hands of Uno with the kid. Try to do something interactive and fun with him 2 or 3 nights a week....keeps lines of communication open....grin

May catch up to you guys later....if not Sweet evening and sweeter dreams to all.

For heaven's sake Dave, you people even have a type of poke weed as well. Those fern's are remarkable to look up-on. Thank's for posting those!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Dave, I have to look at these photos at least a couple of times because you have photographed such unique plants.

Going to bed now.

'Night everyone. Sleep tight!

Keaau, HI

Hey Rachel!

The Hawaiian Poke weed isn't a weed; it's an Endangered plant.

Here is Scaevola chamissoniana. A "common" rare plant of windward Hawaiian rainforests.

trina went to bed?

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

OK, I need to download my really neet butterfly picture now.
I took it shortly before I left my BF's house

Keaau, HI

No offense Rachel! The US Fish & Wildlife Service name for the plant is Hawaiian Poke Weed.

This is Neuraudia ovata. Another Nettles Family member, on the verge of extinction.

It lives in sub-alpine to montane dry forest of Leeward Hawai'i Island.

Kassy that is a beyoooteeful butterfly picture.

Dave, that solanum incompletum (sorry, I don't know how to do italics) may be the weirdest plant I've ever seen.

(Cathy), MO

Morning everyone. Last day of the work week thank goodness! I'm loving all the pictures. This weekend, my goal (if it doesn't rain again!) is to get a flower bed marked off and ready to overwinter a few things I have coming in coops. Alliums mostly. I won't be able to put them where they are going to go until next spring and really don't want them in pots. So..temp bed! Anyone want to come help??
