Gypsies & Rebels Bloom where you are planted

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Trina sometimes I just get lucky and brain kicks in. Other days not sure I know my own name. Gotta finish mowing and then out to remove bandages from my old man friend. He had Cataract surgery today.
Might as well fix them something to eat while I'm there.

Back later

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

ok so how big do crotons get?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

yes I do venice so if you don't want to dig and they don't come back in spring...you get to be the tester....then I'll send you some more

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Someday I will get organized and be able to keep track of what I plant and where.

Runs in the family, my sister was over and said "why don't you pull those weeds,"
because they are hibiscus I replied. She had been pulling hers all summer and she has the green thumb.

Are we in trouble or what?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

LOL JJ...house the bug spray smell?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, did you dig up your Blackie last year? And not, I am not interest in more! I now have 5 separate plants!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Moon are you still here or are you trying to get your head around Algebra 2?

What do impatient seeds or seed pods look like? Anyone?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I didn't have them last year venice, and I don't know what the seeds look like I just got a ton of them in the collection of "Gift" plants from my friend

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

That's it I cannot go to plant files to look up the plants I have any more because all I really end up doing is adding more plants to my wish list!!!

and why aren't the names of these things standard across the board? I mean I'm looking for the heuchera and there are like 30 that all look exactly like mine but they each have a different name so I don't know if I actually got the right one

very very frustrating

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

I can tell you that the pod is where the blossom drops off and the pod when ripe will pop and the seed goes flying..........I use to have them because they like shade, and my places I have lived recently have shade at the front of them

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Impatiens flowers take their name from the Latin, impatiens, "impatient." They are so called because their ripe seed pods will sometimes burst open from even a light touch (as if they were "impatient" to open). This characteristic is especially apparent in a relative named, "jewelweed," indigenous to eastern North America. (see below).

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

yeah but can I grow them in the house Kassy?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Do all impatiens have seeds?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, did you see this?

You were going on and on about your plants that were going to get you --

"and I believe it is the evil spider plants that will start the revolution!
The 3 in the living rom have been eyeing me suspiciously here lately!"

and this was one response!

"I have seen programs about hoarders before but never someone who hoards plants!!!LOL"

If this person only knew!!

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

here, hopefully this will help............
I have to go collect some tomatoes from the garden now ^_^

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

no who posted that one venice?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I did find a photo of an impatiens seed pod. It is nearly the size of a bud but green. I kept looking and couldn't find any.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

It was on -- Beginner Houseplants, Has anyone grown an avocado tree from a pit?

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

ahhh

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

If you looked at our posts from the top, it is a bit funny! Especially since it was all under the Avocado Tree.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

yeah I just went back and reread it...I think maybe I see why they moved us here now...we do tend to be quite chatty!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I liked your recent post to that avocado tree thread! Hey buddy, she was just swamped with more plants than you can imagine! Trina, you are not a hoarer but a plant caretaker even under most unusual circumstance!!!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

By the way, I could never go through all what you have done for those plants! You are an amazing little witch!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

thank you venice! I try at least...besides plants are good for the environment...or at least that's my excuse!

Keaau, HI

Hey! It's good to surround yourself with plants as they produce about 40% of our oxygen.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

yeah well I'm beginning to think most of it comes from my house Dave....any luck boxing up those plants for me...LOL

later on i have a feeling the people in the cactus and succulent forum are gonna get mad at me

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Glad you got a link to impatiens, Venice...Yes, trina, you can grow them indoors. They like bright light out of direct sun.
