Again.. wishing Synda a Happy Birthday!
Pretty sure Rick will celebrate hers in a grand style;)

See y'all later ladies. Off to the garden... weather's in the low 80s, very tolerable.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm first!!!!! Wooo Hoooooooooooooooooooooo

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Morning Ladies,

I was really tired yesterday for some reasson so I spent most of the day in my darkened bedroom watching movies. Then I slept in until after 6 this morning. Today I'm working on the Barbie dollhouse then have a mammogram at 12:45. Nothing exciting happening.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

as I said in the previous thread:

It's truly said - "God never gives you more than you can handle"
Yes, I'm speaking when spoken to, and finding some people aren't speaking to me first, so I'll keep my own counsel on that. However, I'm also finding I get "truer" conversations when I am talking to people.

Bless you all for listening to my time of venting, and insecurities.
Right now, I'm trying to get things done even more ahead of time so I won't have so much on my "to-do" plate when I'm suddenly called upon to do the new stuff.
As my boss says - 'you're so efficient and get things done so quickly that we can't keep you busy!' Very Good Thing for my performance appraisal, eh? That won't be for quite awhile, but that should give me lots of time to prove my new worth, eh?!!!!

~Susan~

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Jaye, Thanks for thenew room!
Cindy, nothing wrong with taking a day, just for you! Listen to your body, it is saying time to rest and relax!
Susan, I know you will do just fine in the new job, and you can vent here all you want! We have all had our share of venting!
I went for my final evaluation for therapy today, and they are going to request at least 2 more weeks, so I can continue to strenghten my quads. My knee is doing better, but still week. About 75%. So it is slowly but surely getting there.
Jaye, or anyone else, I can take some cuttings and root them for you if you want the coleus? Just let me know!
LK

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Susan you are so right, but if I were to solely live on "never speak unless spoken too" I wouldn't have conversations with anyone except me LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Wooohoooo!! Do I ever say no to cuttings? Yes please LK. Big hugs here! Got 2 barrels and an old wheel barrow and I'll put Kel in charge of pinching back. He got lots of practice on that on the Thai Basils.

On a serious note, I do hope they approve the extension LK.

That's not easy for me too Crissy. But a polite hello will suffice until the other party decided to add on to the greeting! One thing I find it hard to do, since I can be very blunt... is if I can't say anything nice... don't say nothing at all.
When you post, you can re-read and change your words.. but instantaneous speech.. takes a lot of will power!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh Linda Kay I would love some. Didn't get a chance to do much with coleus this year but they will grow nicely in water until spring. Love them.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'll take some LK! I've never heard of them before, I'll keep them inside. Thank you for offering...

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

never heard of coleus? Crissy - that IS a surprise!
It grows like a weed here lol Annual weed that is lol
I once had some in a hanging basket, and was pinching it - all pinches fell to ground.
One day I happened to look in the window well of my basement, and it was growing so healthily, I was very surprised! I guess it was cathing the water from when I watered the hanging basket.....it was beautiful!

(btw - on my lunch hour, which is why I'm here...)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Never mind.. misunderstood..!

LOL Jaye!

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

LK they look great!! I should have plenty in the Spring if all goes well with the overwintering. Just started to take the cuttings this week. Only about 100 more varieties to go. :))

Had a nice note all typed and lost it. Don't have time to do it all again, so I will just say "Howdy" to everyone for now and scoot back out the door for more chores.

Juanita

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hehehehe.. okay.. I'm back to semi-normal.

Thoughtful Husband.

Picture should read " I figured you should have breakfast in bed for your birthday. Can you reach the stove, okay?"

Need to get that sinuses checked and your headaches as well.

Kel's back from bringing his dad to his chemo treatment.
Next step now is to run more tests whether to pursure radiation.

Off to run errands, feed the pups.. (still haven't approach us) and grab a bite somewhere.

See you all later.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

See LK we gave you something to do, as if you didn't have anything to do before! LOL

Raleigh, NC

I did go - massive sinus infection and have finished drugs. headache free for 3 days....

editted to add - should say here - I'm allergic to 99% of grasses and 50% of trees, and I adore gardening...shots didn't work years ago, tried that twice. only made me sick 4 to 5 days out of 7.

Waving Hello.. ~ Cindy, Marion, Phyliss, Crissy and all who I may have missed

Well Im feeling a bit better. I got the swelling in my eye to go down and so far today I actually feel a bit better.. I took Bella for a walk earlier this mornng to the park and after I got back Max and I walked over and collected Buckeyes from the trees at the park.. there was two men over working on installing the bike path and whne Max walked by he said I think I know him.. lol He uncle David was running the dozer so I got to meet another family member. Of course my pants were wet up to my knees from ading through the creek but it was alot of fun and the sunshine felt so wonderful.

A very sweet Lady called me about a winter coat for Tony after I posted looking for carharts for oth the kids on freecycle. He got a very nice falls creek tan suede coat that will work great for fall. He looked so happy when we picked it up and of course very handsome trying it on too..

Huggs
Donna

O Here are a few pics from my phone of our bounty..

It must be the pine trees Bonnie.
My allergies and sinuses weren't that bad in South Louisiana. Lots of oak trees.
I'm surrounded by pine trees here, Carolina jessamine, golden rod.. anything that can aggravate my sinuses. Breathing took a 'nose dive'!

Crissy.. what's wrong? You're okay? Ms. Personality didn't decide to be normal, did she? Report pronto!

Is Bella still in heat, Donna? Must be not, if not you won't be walking her in the open!!! Don't want to read a posting by Max that you got into a scuffle with a dog, trying to control animal population!
I bet you'd be seeing more family members you've never met before.

Our dinner (at Shoney's) wasn't memorable. Food was dry.. had bbq.. but at least we're fed :D

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good night everyone! Sleep tight!

Bj, you need to check in and let us kow how your doing with the two girls please?

Stacey, would appreciate you popping in also, we have not heard from you in a long time!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I feel the same way too LK.
Please sistahs, if you're lurking and haven't post much lately... a hello will reassure us that you're okay.

Cody, unfortunately, doesn't have access to internet, so we won't be seeing her.
Just continue to keep her and her son, Alex in your thoughts.

Good night... see y'all tomorrow.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Did she move? Did I miss something?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yes she had, LK. I'll dmail you in a bit.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Morning everyone!

Marion, Happy Birthday to you!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Happy Happy Marion. Boy did I drop the ball. I always go to the birthdays at the end of the previous month and make a list of the folks I know. At least try to send a card. I missed it this time. Will smack myself up the side of my head and get going now. :0)

Was it Donna that was going to do coleus from seed?? Don't waste your time. They take forever to come to fruition that way. We'll talk in the Spring. :0)

Raining here and I get the day off. I will play, I will play......Yeah right.

Hugs,
Juanita

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yipee! A day off work for playing!

It was like 80 here yesterday, and no A/C on! We had the doors open, and the windows open. I got up to take a shower about 8:00 am, and when I walked through the kitchen, I saw something on the floor like a dark leaf, and when I looked closer it was a HUGE vinegaroon!
No they are not poisonous, but I had to change my pants! it scared me so bad!

Thumbnail by taters55
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

We don't have those in Canada, I don't think, so I looked it up:

"they are nasty looking things but dont kill them because they eat mice, roaches, crickets, scorpions, and a lot of other things too.
http://www.nmpest.com/images/Whipscorpio…
- that tail if you get too close it shoots out a nasty smelling oder!"

ewwwwwww

~Susan~

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yep, it smells like vinegar! Hence the name!

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Remind me not to retire to Texas. :)) I don't mind bugs so much, but the ones down there seem to be bigger and uglier. :0)

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Thanks Linda Kay and Juanita. I would like to seconded Jaye's thought and hope and pray that this country never suffers another tragedy like that again.

Glenview, IL

Hi ho!

Marion, Wishing you a Happy Birthday to you.

Big armwrap for the birthday girl! Any special plans?

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Morning Ladies,
I've been lurking. Been busy working on Barbie dollhouse, need to get this thing out of the way so I relax and maybe get into some more swaps. My new honey has been busy working, but we talk every day. He texted me just as I was going to bed wanting to know if I was still awake, he wanted to talk so he could hear my voice, plus he was lonely, lol. He has been working from 9pm to 4am. If he is working nights next week I'm going to go with him one night. There is major freeway repairs and he is hauling dirt out to another site.

Synda, here is a b-day card for you
