Feeling awful, just tired but trying to get a few things done.
Thanks Liz, hope this thing passes quickly, but now Julia has it and Steve says he's feeling it coming on.
So, going to wipe everything down with bleach.

Dropping in for a quick sec. - 75 here today..should cancel painting tonight but decided not to..not because I'm over ambitious but because I just did my first lunch hour shop at the Christmas store..figure I can take my painting $$$ from tonight and splurge on something pretty for me tomorrow..first come halloween, then comes Christmas..store offered a zillion things for both ....

Finished 2 big projects, one shipped out by mail, the other being delivered today..pleased with both...

Best of today: Getting things done right and left for my conference
Worst of Today: Not getting any other work done because of all the work the conference entails
Learned: Late '90's Cameros fly really well, especially when they are spinning 360's in mid-air (not flipping)!

Best of Today: Learning that people trust me to get the job done and give me more responsibility
Worst of Today: Realizing Just How Much extra work I'll be getting. My job will essentially double for now, and my triple in Dec/Jan...
Learned: Had a meeting with the person who's job I will be taking on, in addition to what I'm doing now - so I learned the scope of my new duties. I'll be the administrator, while someone else will do the setup of the teleconferences. It's the only way to do it. I simply Don't Have Time to do three jobs right now

Actually, although I said I may be taking on extra job in Dec/Jan, while the person is on vacation in Paris, and when she's doing point6 other job in the company, I will be "her" while she's working at another job on another floor. So right now I'm doing 2 people's jobs, and Oct 5th, I'll be taking on another duty........ my head is spinning with the responsibilities!!

ok here it is some how its not square im not a quilter so i was going to cut the black strips for in between the pannels but im not sure what to do?
being that its not square im afraid the black will bring that out lol
so im not sure to cut the pannels thinner or just leave it alone?

If you don't want to use the black sashing, this is what I would do. Take the SMALLEST square and trim the others to the same size and then join them together. If you want to use the black sashing, I would stagger the blocks a bit.(the center row top to bottom, raise the blocks up a bit). Then I would fill in spaces with the black. Does that make sense to you? I'll try to draw my ideas out an then send them.... Barb

I have got to walk across the street today and get new contacts ordered, I have a coupon for one free set of a new kind Acuvue has out.

Crissy, are you getting the Multi-focal ? If so let me know if they work......

No, these new ones are Acuvue Oasys with Hydroclear +. I just got contacts 6 months ago and they gave me Acuvue Advanced with Hydroclear, I want to try others because these Advanced tend to ride up my eyeball, and the bottoms of the contacts come up above the coloring in my eye and they feel like there's a itty bitty needle poking me there.

Eeewww, that doesn't sound like fun....

I wanted contacts so I wouldn't have to wear glasses....but with my current ones, I still have to have readers, most of what I do is computer, reading, painting...close up work...so I am still stuck with glasses either way.....as a result most of the time I only wear my contacts on the bike, or car trips so I can wear my sunglasses.....guess I need to print out the coupon and try the multi focal contacts......either that or I need new glasses....well, I need new glasses anyhow, just trying to put it off as long as possible because my prescription is not cheap. Hope the new ones work for you....

Trisha, where do you find a coupon for the multi focal ones? I need new glasses also, and was thinking of going back to contacts!

I agree with what Barb said, I think that will work just fine! Can't wait to see it finished.

I want to try every type of contact there is out there. It doesn't poke constantly just once in a while, I'm wondering if they're just not moist enough. I wear mine all the time, and having readers isn't as bad as having to wear them constantly. I get motion sick and I'm near sighted.

Ok, I put the Acuvue Oasys in and they are absolutely wonderful, I still can't tell there is anything in my eye and it's been 1 1/2 hours, I think I'm going to order them and throw the Advanced away, I only have what was already in my eyes plus one right one.

Look what was on my kitchen floor yesterday! I had the doors open, cause it was nice and cool, and this came strolling in! it is a HUGE vinegaroon! Not poisonous, but I had to change pants after i saw that!

Liz not really I was up all night..Liad down at 11pm..Start thinking about how I was going to do garden next year..Gave up at 1am got up & and played on puter..DUH thinking that might make sleepy Wrong I played all night..

It is not poisonous. The long whip tail, if it touches you, emits a strong vinegar smell, but that is all. They are just nasty looking, and when all of a sudden he is in your kitchen! YUCK!

Went to get my material for totebag swap yesterday, what a big bummer, What I thought was one color in the store turned out to be very different outside. So, now I think I need to figure out what I can do with it and go find a right color, grrr.
...Also looked at some terrycloth for kitchen towel swap, yuk, didn't care for the quality of that, so have to think up something else.
ohhh and how fun, did a bit of picking for HW swap.

speaking of material, Liz, your quilt is going to be so cute!! Glad to see Barb could help you out and hope it works for you.

OH MY gosh, so funny you should mention the Christmas workshop! been wondering about it myself...Yesterday i sat and worked up a list of people, yikes, what ever I do it will have to be really easy, lol this Santa's helpers list is way long! like I better start now.

Mary I'm so very proud of you. I knew you could do it!!!!!! All the nicotine has now left your body and the urges from now on are just habit. Now is the time to think of things to do when you do get an urge and then do them.. I started to crochet every time it happened with me. Got several discloths made and now it will be 6 months on the 26th.
