I get to go on a nurseryfest in a few. End of season at this really great place. Mums will be in and cheap.

Gotta go play golf tomorrow with DH and one of his friends. Haven't played in over a year. This should be very interesting.

Any of you coffee drinkers out there can you give me an idea of a good coffee pot. We go through about 1 a year here. I just replaced ours with a rather expensive Krups model and it is a disaster. Makes great coffee but has a lot of bad engineering issues. I can't believe we can be so technically advanced and not make a coffee pot as good as the old time percolator type. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Glad you're feeling better, Jaye! I've had a headache for 3 weeks, and got tired of it yesterday and called my DR. He gave me samples of Zyrtec, and-----no more headache! I knew it was allergies!

Audrey, good to see you posting again. Glad to hear the headaches was just allergies. Zyrtec, is an over the counter med now, so you don't need a script for it! it is about $17.00 here. Don't know what I would do with out it! it is good for the hives too!
Cindy, you need to be careful, withthose online sites. Just make sure you ask him 100 different questions, before comitiing to anything. I agree, with Jaye, use your womans intuition!
Juanita, our coffee pot is a $10.00 sunbeam from wally-world. We have had it working good for about 4 years now! (knocking on wood)! That way, I don't feel too bad, when it does go out!
Our water here has a lot of calcium in it, and it builds up fast, so we use bottle water.
Trisha, how is your day going? Have you done anymore painting? That hibiscus you painted, would look really pretty with a hummer on it!

Thanks LK for the coffee pot recommendation. We have a well and that is one of the reasons we are hard on coffee pots. No matter how many times I descale after awhile things just taste funky. :0)

Well LK. I didn't do much damage at the quilting stores. Just bought a stack of Carol Doak's foundation piecing paper. As though I have a lot of time on my hands. Some more Oriental fabrics and of course a couple of yards of 'fun' fabrics for the tote. Then I forgot completely to get handles!!!!

BUT.. Kel did buy new tools. So, he profits today :D His friend who runs the local Sears' store offered him a good price on a router and router table combo that he couldn't resist. Said it's time for a new one.
Can't say no to a man that would give me the moon if he can. Maybe he'd do a bird house for me :D

Guess I am no help on the Coffee Pot issue we have used nothing but Krups for years...but we do mainly Expresso, rarely use the Coffee Maker side of it.

Juanita, Don't know if I could be called a Painter......I have taken one quarter of painting at the local college and I am playing around with some stuff...most of my pictures are on the computer my son has. If he can find the zip I will have him bring them over to me, or maybe he can e-mail some of them to me....I will try to get them on an album...just don't be expecting any masterpieces.

Sorry I don't have time to continue, but I am running late we need to be a bit early for Church tonight.....if I don't see you later will talk to you tomorrow...have a good night everyone.

Good Morning all 1 day off so much to do so little time But I have been working on 2 project not done but it is a strat the first one is my inside front door I couldn't stand it so I decided to paint to match the room I need 1 more coat of paint than I am done but he is the first project before and than after

And here is what I have done 3 coats of primer and 1 coat of paint but I will get that done today and show what it will end up looking

I thought I fixed that picture sorry its oonthe side. And the next project is my bathroom floor putting new stick on tileson I had to prime it and that I strted to lay it out I do have a lot of cutting to do darn

I guess I should paint first but I do go backwords I thing that I will be painting in Toupe ( I think that is how you spell it In A brown) and a cream color.
Other than that I am good I might run away for the Holiday cause I here we will be working Sundays too. so thats 7 days a week I will be wineing but when I get that check I will have tears of joy Well w are getting close to the end so I think we may be done in 3 months that I have a very long honey do list for myself and have been picking up the stuff that I need so when the time comes and it is snowing out I will have my projects so I have to go get dress go to the store sand finsh my stuff and take a rest so I will check back later

Morning Ladies,

Last night I spent about 1/2 hour IM with a guy who lives about 10 miles from me. He has a motorcycle (not a Harley :( ) but it's really pretty. His name is Doug, he owns his home, he follows the Christain faith, he works as a supervisor at a manufacture company. He is about 5'11", blue eyes, salt and pepper hair, is exactly 4 months younger than me, likes to dance, likes the mountains and so do I, we have some things in common but will have to wait until we meet to see if there is any chemistry. He actually lives in the same town that my aunt lives in and I used to live for about 2 years. I really loved it there too. So time will tell. If things go good between us I just might invite him up to the cabin next month ^_^.

I'm going out for the day with my girlfriend. I have a craving for some Mexican food and I told her she was to take me to good one beings she knows all the resturants where she lives.

on a sad note my daughter's MIL is going down hill fast. Not sure how much longer she will be with us. She has been in and out of the hospital alot in the last few weeks. My daughter has told my granddaughter that her gramma is sick and isn't going to get better. I'm not sure how much she understands. Lord, help me to have the strength to get them through this.

Praying for your strength Cindy but we know the Lord won't give you more than you or your family can handle. Good to see you Kim and Linda K too. My my but Juanita and Jaye are early birds. I'm studying with Shepard's Chapel. Be back later.

geez i got 20 years of my life scared out of me today. I was about 25 miles from home and my daughter calls me on my cell saying theres a fire and my mom was being evcuated. HOLY COW!!! I freaked out. When my friend and I went into Lowe's we could see the smoke it was MASSIVE. I started shaking like a leaf. So we took off then my daughter calls again and says mom is ok but the fire is BAD. Burned the Harley Davidson shop :( plus tons of other business and lots of homes. It is now burning in a million dollar subdivsion and it heading towards my aunt's house. My cousins are on the way to get her. The fire came really close to where my SIL works and friends car body shop. My brother saw it on the news and called (he's in prison and 75 miles away) so he knows mom and I are okay. We do have our cars loaded just in case because the winds keep shifting. Also that guy that I was talking to last night the fire is headed his way also. He is online but not avaiable.

Stay Safe Cindy!!!!!!! I can't think of anything that scares me like wild fires!!

We are safe for now. The fire is only 25% contained but continues to burn million $ homes. It was really close only like 2 miles away. If the wind would have been blowing the other direction we wouldn't have a house right now. You don't how hard i was a praying before my daughter called the 2nd time. My curly hair just went pure white I do believe, lol.

Whew, Cindy. I was reading your post 90 to nothing. You scared me. Glad you and your folks are out of the fire's reach.

Hi Deborah ^_^, scared you!! geez you should have been me when i got the call from my daughter. I was picking out a birdhouse for my buddy. Well it's still in the basket at Lowe's so I guess I'm gonna have to get busy make her one now.

I think a friend who lives in that million $ subdivision lost his home. Tomarrow I will be out there taking pictures. We can still see smoke but it is like 4 miles away now. i'm worried about my new guy now, don't know how close the fire is to him.

Thank God Cindy you and your mum's property is fine! Praying no lives lost. Million dollar homes are covered by insurance, but lives can't be replaced. First I'm reading how excited you are in finding a new friend.. then this...

My BIL had emergency surgery to his left hand and we nee dprayers for a quick recovery. He ws working with a hedge trimmer and it slipped nearly taking off 3 of his fingers on his left hand Their was alot of damamge and they are saying at least 6 months for recovery if not l;onger.

My grandmother seems to have taken a turn towards dementia. Shes really giving my mom and sister a hard way to go. Ses gotten really mean and is accusing them both of stealing from her and says everyone hates her-- she says shes ready to just go to heaven and be done with this life..

Found out this weekend my dad was married before my mom and I have a half sister somewhere out there.. Blew me outta the water all this time I thought I was my dads only child.. Ugghhh Appaerently she lived in Cali while my dad was in the military..

Well its cooler here this moring so guess fall is settling in quick here..

Cindy, I am saying more prayers for you and yours. I've been watching the fires on TV from my safe living room and praying so hard for all of you in California. How terrifying to go through. Please don't take any chances though. If they tell you to leave, just do it and be safe. You and your Mom are the only thing to worry about Okay? Also saying a prayer for your DIL's MIL. Hope she is painfree.
