This car is alot bigger, tho, than my 98, and it is all digital on the inside with BIG readout so I can actually SEE how fast I am going LOL

Very pretty car, Debra.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

prolly my last car in the rest of my life.. lets see, 57 now ten years 67, by then I know I won't want to buy another car
LOL .. thanks. I havn't had a cr payment for over 5 yrs now. *choke*

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I hadn't had a car payment like you in years until the deer totaled my car......dang I hate those payments. Beautiful car, you look very nice after working all day. My hair is usually sticking straight up where I keep pulling on it....LOL

Guys I have sooo many blooms on my brugs and I remember now why I go to all this trouble. I think they did it right now cause winter is coming on and they figured out if they didn't perform they may be left outside......smart brugs aren't they? Can't take pics too dark and I will leave before the sun comes up I think. Course they wait until I am going out of town to start this.....those little turkeys.

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Happy I know what you mean. I have a couple that I was thinking of sacrificing, but they are now producing. It's like they know..... :)) Have a variegated one that is just getting ready to bloom. Never seen it before, so I am hoping it will hurry up before I go away in a bit. I NEED to know. LOL!

Debra, love the new car! I will make my last payment on my truck on 15 December. I pray nothing happens, so I don't have to buy another car?
If anyone has a white brug, please keep me in mind when you cut it down please?
I have so many, but I don't think I have a white one. The ones that bloomed for me last year were pink, yellow, and a pretty orange one! Those are doing so bad this year, due to the heat! They will all go in the ground next year. The ones in the garden, are just now starting to bloom, so I will have to wait to see what colors they are!
Oh the waiting is terrible!

Hope you all have a great week-end.

(Cathy), MO

Hi everyone. My Kongmansia is finally almost there! This will be my first bloom fo the year, as I got started really late this year. I notice another was "Y'ing" last night but no pods yet. Hope they can all make it before it gets too late.

Debra is you have extras, please don't forget me for the monster this fall.

Love that yello taters!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Cathy, I have n ot seen you posting in awhile! Hope your are doing OK?
Please post the kongmansia, when she blooms please? Will you be taking cuttings from it this year?

(Cathy), MO

Not sure yet, but I might. It's not real big yet, but I was looking at it yesterday and thinking about whacking it off to start a new "straighter" plant for next year. If I do, I will keep you in mind.

I moved a few months back and haven't been on as much. Plus all the changes in the coops, and that's where I mostly hung out at! Gotta get my plant fixes you know! :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree, what would we do with out our plant fixes! Gotta have them!

Henderson, NC(Zone 7b)

Pretty car, and that lady standing by it is a beauty also. Debra, you and your new car are a very pretty pair.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

Thank you Deb, I got back in town and so many of the brugs were wilted, I almost broke out in tears. They seem to recovering so fingers crossed. I need to get home in time to take pics! Always after dark anymore! You name it I think it is blooming! I am thinking about going in late just to see them.....that is so bad, Can't even believe I am thinking about....I am so addicted!

Found out in my mg group, two of the new members have what I think are Maya brugs, so they are excited about coming to see mine. My yard is such a mess, but I want them to see them.

Waiting for the ru, I am really excited about it.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry they were wilted, but they do recover pretty quick, if you give them a good drink!
Post pictures when you can please?

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

They recovered from lack of water. I took pictures, I will post tomorrow. Just to darn tired to do it tonight.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I went up to see Bonnie.. her brugs make mine look like little weeds LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Here is my Angel garden, as of yesterday. Just in the passed week or so, the temps have fallen and they just went crazy!

(Tammie) Odessa, TX(Zone 7b)

They look great! Mine have struggled all summer and I have to do worm inspection every day.. I think I manage to find 3 or 4 every day.

You saw Bonnie! How is she? I know her brugs alway grow like weeds.

Kansas City (Joyce), MO(Zone 5a)

I believe this is lemon twist, it was late last night when I was trying to take pics. Night comes earlier, good thing brugs smell earlier....LOL

Look how short the blooms are. I think I like it tho. First time it has ever really bloomed.
It was soooo wilted when I got back from my trip I was afraid it would drop the blooms, just have a couple of yellow leaves.

Linda Kay, I have been hearing that for a couple of days now......hopefully nothing will come of it.
Think I am getting sick so I won't be going anywhere. Use to fly alot DH retired from an airline, but not so much anymore, all the fun has been taken out of it.

Happy Blooming Season to everyone! I think about you all (and snoop around DG to make sure you're all "playing in the dirt").. I hope you will forgive me for not checking in, it was a long winter and busy summer. I'm not on the puter much these days, I have been lurking on the thread this morning, saw Deb mention my ol leathery self and felt I wanted to post a howdy-do and a thank you...
I love all your beautiful bloom pics! A bloom is beautiful no matter what color or how many there are... This was my 10th year growing them. I've learned a lot on DG (not just about brugs), and a lot from experiencing them.. I wonder, "Will I ever have enough???" I'll be trimming soon and I do have a lil rooted Maya for one of you ladies'.... Llasalover?? Yes, it's Tammie, cause I wrote it on the tag.. :)
I think I've gone to brug heaven. The best year for blooms I've ever had...there has been at least 1 bloom everyday since the beginning of June.. Deb came when I had the most flushing and now with the rain this week, it's not so pretty out there, but there are more buds behind the withering blooms.... the grasshoppers have started snacking a little but I have sprayed no insecticides (yet) or other bug sprays.. am I dead? I MUST be in heaven. Here are my producers.. I have to start with my old girl... I keep thinking each year will be her last, but she won't quit. I'm afraid if I mess with her pot she will freak. There WILL be a celebration of her glory IF/when? I ever lose her. Course, I keep backs-ups. Peach Versi

Maya or Sunset.. same as I understand... 7 or 8 yr old plant before the blooms colored up.

Thumbnail by AuntB
NE, KS(Zone 5b)

The pink is a noid I started from seed 5-7 years ago. The blooms came from this years growth.. as I whacked it to soil level last Fall when Deb was here... the first time we met in person... :) Yellow ones are Charles G. - 3 yr old plant FINALLY offers more than 1 or 2 blooms. He's stubborn, I'm determined ;)

Antique Lace - rooted stem tip growth from last spring sent to me by a generous DGer. She bloomed not as prolifically all winter in the basement. My tip rooting was not successful last winter, so I will try again. She carried my cross pod (P. Versi was the pollen donor) until it ripened January.

Thumbnail by AuntB
NE, KS(Zone 5b)

My 08 cross. Germinated in January 09.. it's first flush- I'll be cleaning up the leftovers... this plant is around 6 ft tall... it had 3 "cots" as a seedling and it's Y has 3 "tines", so it's like a pitchfork, not a Y.. I'm studying this plant... I want it to stay the height it is... the blooms are not exactly of substance like I like, but it is a young plant. I will winter over and determine if it's a keeper next fall... If the blooms will last longer, it is EXACTLY what i wished for when I pollinated. A smaller growing plant, the smaller to med size blooms start out white, slowly turn a creamy peachy color, have nice twangers.

Thumbnail by AuntB
NE, KS(Zone 5b)

I MUST get outside.. the sun it out and it's cool... LOT'S to do out there. I will close with Monster White, a single bloom pic.. (Joyce-thx) She will probably pop tonight with her 3rd and biggest flush this summer... she also produced blooms in the basement, till she contracted a mite infest... I was fearful when she went outside, the stems seemed to be rotting from the tips...?... but she's back and bigger than ever! I will check in here more often.. and let ya'll know I'm still kickin. I tend to lurk these days cause I get too long winded when I post..-see? lol (Tammie, you ready for your baby Maya?) Deb send me those "under Maya" pics, please? I hope there is a good one... Enjoy your day, Ladies!
