Those are lovely blooms Debra. Love
Rebecca's vivid colors.
For the love of pururea #2
Debra - I absolutely LOVE your red Rebecca blooms!!! That is a color that I don't see on any of my MGs! Yours are beautiful. Please save me a 2-3 seeds if you would be so kind!!! :-)
Wow! Fantastic thread. Yay purpurea!!! They definitely do better for me here than nils. And the purpurea do re-seed themselves here as well. Most of my crop last year was volunteer purpurea from the previous year.

Beautiful blooms, gardenpom!
Love the flaked have to remember to do some next year!!
WOW! everyone has awesome flowers! Makes me feel like I really have missed the boat with my MGs. I started just a few I. purpurea and now I wish I had bought dozens of all different kinds. I had no idea there were that many different ones to choose from. Mine are just blooming now, as we are really late with everything this year because of our weird weather. Do you think that there will be time for them to put on seeds before it freezes here? I would love to be part of the swap, but am afraid I have very little to offer, besides some purpurea, and only those if they put on seeds before we get winter.
Love the dark blue Debra and the Hige, well, all of them really. lol
That's a pretty one Ronnie.
I love all your flowers. That really dark one in gorgeous! But I like ALL of them. Do they reseed easily for you, or do you replant every year? I'm sure most of you know the answers, but being new, I'm unfamiliar as to what has already been posted, so please forgive me if I am being redundant for you all!!
Hi skellogg, the pink and purple and dark blue ones have been coming back from seeds I collected. All the others have come from DGr's here and from a seed company ( the shiva ). If I don't catch the pods, they come up everywhere since I have fence all around my yard and trees that they climb..The others I have planted, and collected seeds from are all ready to give out. ;D Ya want some seeds?

I think your 'Shiva' is 'Blue Star'
Some of my bluish/purple was were very large too for purpureas!!
Thanks, Ronnie for the ID, I am waiting for Shiva to come up there as well.. I am still learning.. Thanks.. Debra
Gardenpom, this one : http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=7004011
Is incredible and I love it. Beautiful photo..
Oh, Debra, I would love some! I also have fence all around our yard, and have been trying to come up with vines to plant to camo our fence some. I have one little patch of ugly wire fence that was in when we bought the place, and planted my MG's there, to hide the neighbor's stuff he stashes in that corner. Never occured to me to plant MG's everywhere! I, too, love that blue flaked one! They are all so pretty!
