Cindy I am so sorry to hear that Rusty passed today. huggs to you and heartfelt prayers to your family during the next few weeks.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy, I am so, so sorry. Our love and prayers are with you and his family, especially his wife and young 'un.

When you told us of this last night, it's like deja vu for us.
You see, a few years ago, Kelvin's relative, was electrocuted while on the pole doing a job in the aftermath of a bad storm. He had all his safety equipment on.
He was severely burned too, and couldn't be revived. He left behind 3 small kids.

(((((((((((((((((((Cindy)))))))))))))))))))))

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Cindy I am sending good energy your way. I'm sure it will be hard for his wife and child, but maybe for him it was the best. If he was an active and vibrant person sometimes the loss of limbs is impossible to overcome. It takes a very special person to adapt.

Blessed be,
Juanita

OH you guys! We received the WRONG information on Rusty. He is still alive. The nurse that called my cousin (Rusty's dad) had told them that they needed to get to the hospital right away as there was no sign of life. But they get there thinking the worse and received different news. You can say that nurse is in a little trouble. My cousin doesn't not take mistakes easy since his grandson's injury. Will tell more on that, but the rest about Rusty. When the doctor shines the light in his eye there is a little bit of movement. So they are not sure what the outcome will be. He could have brain damage, could be paralized and he is still very critical. His family's biggest fear is, how he is going to cope with not having any hands. They are very bitter towards his wife right now because she has been very ugly and mean towards Rusty. They had been fighting alot and had, had a huge arugment the night before his accident. This is not the first time the wife has pulled this stunt. Long story. But now about my cousin's first grandson. When he was a few weeks old he had stopped breathing. There's a name for the condition that he had but I can't remember it. Any how when he was in the ER there was young doctor that didn't know what he was doing, but insisted that he did and would not wait for the main doctor to get there. He tried to put a tube down Matthew's throat and the tube was too big and he ruputured his trachea. Matthew is now 7 years old and still has to have a tube in his throat and he can not talk. They have done several opertions to clear away scar tissue but they are never successful. They say he will probably 18 years old before they'll ever be able to fix him.

Thank You all for the hugs and prayers. Next time I will make sure I get correct info before I say anything.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

OMG!!!!!!!!! There's still hope for Rusty! Definitely will continue to pray for him, Cindy.
Did that all the time, while in the truck till we got home to this news.

Will certainly include Matthew now.

It is just beyond me how these "professionals" can make these mistakes. When mom had her knee surgery, they gave her a spinal. But it was an intern. Mom said she could hear them saying "You doing good, just relax". Well she has been complaining of her back hurting. Makes me wonder now.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

My GF Sophie, had an intern that administered her chemo at a University Hospital.
Can't really explain how bad it went, but sufficed to say, that intern was barred from treating others for a while.

For anyone watching the prayer threads for word on critter's baby - the birth mother called her and she is in labor - Please pray for an easy delivery....

Thanks Barb!

Walked out and brave the kitties taking pictures of more in bloom.
This is of 2 skippers on a Standard Blue Duranta. At first they were on top of each other fighting over a raceme, then one realised there are more!

How about some RED crepe myrtle blooms.
"Dynamite". It started as a teeny twig last year, now it's 3 ft. tall.

This is 2 year old Loropetalum. Is it supposed to bloom in summer? I thought it's only during the cool months.

I think I need my eyes checked again!! Pix seem blurry to me! Sorry.

Life is certainly sweet when you got a DH that takes over the kitchen ^_^
Kel cooked spaghetti this evening. All in one pot. Not mushy at all, and just enough for 2 servings, so we won't overeat.
Bottled Bertolli sauce.. garlic and olive.. who's complaining! He's cooking!
No garlic bread.. just straight spaghetti with a sprinkling of parmegiano regina.

Now for tomorrow evening, I'll be cooking Juanita's Chicken and Rice.
Bought some packets of Mahatma, a box of fresh mushrooms.. Can't believe we've been using the kitchen lately!!!

Hey Judy, I told Liz that her purse is absolutely BRILLIANT!
Young teenagers will go for something kooky like that and Liz can start a new trend for purses.
There's already the cigar-box purse, and why not vinyl record purse! She's amazing.

Gonna bid you all a good night. Cody, if you're lurking, remember I love you..

See you all tomorrow afternoon.

Hey girls!!!!!

been thinkin bout y'all was in Houston for the AFS kids and worked in getting them weds - fri ...everyone made it in and has been sent on to their areas and are in their host homes now ...some great kids have come to the us for the school year
then the bridal shower this afternoon so now I am home

3 wks and counting for the wedding *sigh* daughters dress has yet to arrive here and she sent an email today to the gal as it was suppose to be sent out this last week and did not arrive and it is only coming from TN to Eat TX so it should have been here so I told her to let the gal know to just send it as is and I will finish it up as if there are any alterations to be made I would be doing them anyway ( was suppose to have been here in July but she didn't have it done she told her back then)
I could still make it if daughter wants it as I know we can find that pattern at the store and the material but she is not happy so is not thinking about it right now

one more week and school starts so on Monday I go in at 6am so we can get busy on training the next batch of new drivers coming in ..in hopes of having them ready for school.

Hey IF I happen to disappear here soon from DG I'll be back as soon as I get paid next month
things are stretched thin with the wedding and no summer work and I expire here this week so you got my email addy and got me on facebook so I'm around LOL

Hi Phyllis,
sometimes I think the best part of a wedding is getting over with....hope everything works out okay.
Glad to see you check in...we are sure missing a lot of our sistahs around here lately.
Our school doesn't start until the 9th...a lot of parents will be happy....

PBR is on so guess I will watch a little of that before I turn in...
Have a good night!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
Coffee is on!

Hey Phyllis, sounds like your going to be busy, with the wedding! It will be here before you know it! Glad to hear you got the kids settled in. Don't worry about your DG subscription, it is taken care of for another year.
Bj how are you doing with your new student?

Jaye. Love the flowers you posted. So pretty.

It is supposed to be 104 today! PLEASE send some rain???

LK

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you for the coffee LK. Yikes, 104. You sure need a mister for your angel garden to cool things down.
Too hot to even think!! Plenty of fluids LK. No ice-cream.. all that sugar will only raise your body temp.

You'll be glad when the wedding is over huh Phyllis?
Nope, I don't know what your FB's name is.. mine is Jaye Blanchard. Just look for me.
I'm feeling your excitement with AFS. You and BJ certainly now have another common interest. So as a liason, do you call up the kids and see how they are. Pretty sure they all speak fluent enough English to understand.
Can't wait to be introduced to BJ's kid.

Getting ready for church. Will be bringing these prayer requests to the congregation.

You all have one Blessed Sunday.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

But, before I go.. I have to share this with you. Who says God doesn't have a sense of humor when He answers prayers.
This was what happened to me.

It was about 10 years ago.
One evening, I was forced along with many workers to wait under shelter for a heavy downpour to stop so we can get to our cars.

There were a few with umbrellas that braved the winds and rain. Not one of those umbrellas could fight against the winds.
The rain was relentless and I predicted that I'd be stuck at the plant for a few more hours. So, I asked God to make it "clear and dry" just for a short while as I don't want to be stuck in the dark at the plant.

The old plant hired mentally challenged people as janitors.
One janitor, noticing my predicament, came up to me and asked whether I need help in getting to my car. I nodded my head, and noting he didn't have an umbrella, I wondered if he fully understood that I need some sort of protection!
He disappeared into the building and came out with a makeshift umbrella. He had cut out a heavy duty garbage bag and cloaked me! I thanked him profusely and I was dry getting into my car.

The next day, I looked out for him to thank him.
I asked him why he helped only me when there are other managers standing beside me. Joseph said because I was the only manager that knew his name and always greeted him when he clean the office.

Well, in whatever ways my prayers were answered that rainy evening. It wasn't clear, but just for a short while I was dry!!
HE has a wonderful sense of humor and I thank Him for Joseph.

it was funny one of the boys from Switzerland had licorice candy with him and I like black licorice ...but one bag that he had had a white powder on it the others thought it was sugar so they took a piece but it was really salt ...I liked it but the other girls didn't LOL

I only got to see 3 of the kids that are in our area I missed saying Hi to Bj's and finding the 2 girls I will be working with but they are all a great bunch of kids.

Trisha I didn't know you were a PBR addict!! I was really in the tank for bull riding for many years. Then they decided to start messing with the traditional rules and went all Hollywood. Once Tuff Hedeman left I let my membership expire. We used to go whenever we could and often had seats in the first few rows. It was great and there are a great bunch of guys that ride. I miss JW Hart and all the "old" guys.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, please let us know how Rusty is today?

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Cindy was so glad that Rusty was afalse alarm so to speak. Kepping you all in my prayers for a recovery. Please do let us know how he is doing.

Love the PBR .. When I lived iN jax, Fl we had a club that had live bull riding on the weekends.. They got shut down after a few years when the bulls got loose but we always had a good time and it was isolated. Now I just watch when Im able..

Pretty Pictures everyone. Unfortunately the issue wit hthe camera was not betteries. I got it to come on then poof it wouldnt. Then got it on and now its stuck lens extended and wont power even to shut down. Volt meter says bateries are good and camera is shot! Grrrrrr Been a great camera though and have had it for a few years just gonna have to find a way to replace it. I got it to work only enough for two test pics the last time before it quit completely.. i think it took them.. O lemme check Yup this is what i have been working on.. My seed box rennuth over and there is only a few things I really want that I can grow here.. Darn the moving climate changes .. I need to re-work my llist..

LK still doing a rain dance for you.> have you felt any releif yet today?

Hi Everyone,

Have no new news on Rusty yet. But my daughter's MIL is not doing so well. She had been fighting cancer and wasn't feel very well but, she insisted that she was going to Reno to celebrate her birthday today. They went on Friday night, then my SIL said he wanted to go too. So he went up yesterday. Found his mom somewhere in a casino, she was so weak that she couldn't walk my SIL had to carry her back to the room and put her to bed. Around 1am she started talk funny and wasn't making any sense so the took her to the hospital. They are giveing her blood transfusions and are keeping her there tonight. She had told my SIL that she knows she's not going to beat it. She goes for a PET scan sometime this week so we will know more then.

Thank you for your concern about Rusty. He is a picture of him holding his son. I think the baby was about month old. He is now 2.

Good Evening,
We just got an update on Rusty. His condition has been upgraded form critical cirtical to serious critical. This morning when the doctor went to see him he opened his eyes for just second. Which is a good sign. His kidneys are not functioning right so they have to put him on dialysis to keep his bladder empty because his stomache was swelling. He's also running a fever and they think theres an infection somewhere. He has a broken femur and they will be doing surgery to set that, tomarrow. The doctor told his dad to tell the PG&E guys to quit calling that the nurses are there to take care of him not answer phones. He has been getting over 170 calls a day. So his sister in setting up a website so that we/they can keep track of his progress. The wife has been there every day and will be taking the baby tomarrow. The doctor encouages that says it will help to heal him faster. So Thank you all for your prayers for Rusty and his family. He has a long ,long road to recovery.

My daughters MIL is feeling better since the transfusion, but they are still keeping her overnight.

Well, it's 7:30 here so I know most of you have called it a night, so I will talk with ya all tomarrow.

Cindy}!{

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)
