North Central Texas Fall Roundup Trade Thread.

Dallas, TX

Banana, that sounds like a great trade.
Kenboy, I'd love some bananas - is there anything I can give you?

As for my user name - funnily enough it was a computer generated password that I got many years ago... but I thought it was so odd, funny and suiting to my personality that I adopted it as a user name.

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

msgrubbyfungus, Maggi says she wants Hostas. How many Bananas do you want and do not think you need to match me plant for plant, I really need to get rid of most of these Bananas to make room for new ones. Thanks.

Hutchins, TX

DFWDennis, here'a a pic of it. I have it in pots and in the ground and it does very well. I wish I could tell you the actual name of it ,but the person who gave it to me said rose tree suculent.

Kenboy, I f I have anything you would like and you have an extra banana or EE I would love some.

Msgrubbyfungus, I have garlic chives for swiss chard.

Phyllis, I think that is called Rose Autumn Joy Sedum.

phyllisb59, I did not see anything that I really wanted but I will bring you Bananas and EE. You can catch me on the flip side.

Dallas, TX

Kenboy,

Well I have one banana that looks great and one that doesn't, so I'd be happy to have 2 more. Hostas for you, check.

Phyllis,

Garlic chives for swiss chard sounds good.

Thanks both!

Hutchins, TX

Frostweed, Thank you I looked at the pic's and it does look like it but mine has never bloomed do you know how I get it to bloom? I've had it 2 years.

Kenboy, Thank you very much and I have a double brug but I don't know which one it is since none of them have bloomed this year, but I will mark it for you if and when it does. I have several and not a one has bloomed. I think my green thumb has turned brown.

Msgrubbyfungus, thank you for the trade.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

If the picture is of your plant it is about to bloom, they bloom in the fall, and they like sun.

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Phyllis, I already have an Autumn Joy sedum in my garden, so how about the blue sedum instead? :)

Pbtxlady, can I have one of your agastache?

I just found a few things to dig up in the yard and updated my list of available plants - and plants I want! :)

Dennis

msgrubby, yes, I'll be happy to bring you a comfrey!

I can use broccoli or Swiss chard or some such!

Hutchins, TX

dfwdennis, the blue sedum is yours.thanks

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Ken, if you already have Tahitian Flame, how about if I bring a hosta for Maggi instead of the ginger? If that's okay with you, I'll talk to her about it on Facebook and find out what she's looking for.

Charlene, I have plenty of coleus types you don't have and will bring whatever I can get going by then. Please bring me any brugs that you feel like cutting. :) I do already have Dr Seuss, peach versicolor, and Charles Grimaldi.

Dennis, I'll be glad to bring you an agastache.

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

pbtxlady, any Hosta you bring will be Ok with Maggi. I will take the deal and if you throw in an Agastache I will bring you a another Brug. You say you have one double, what's the name of it? I'll try to get you another.

Dallas, TX

Sylvia,

Thanks, that's great. The Swiss chard is looking good. I'll have to keep you posted on the broccoli - I just got back from a 2 day trip to find that some critter has been munching on it :(

Kate

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

anybody have some *short* Mexican petunias/ruellia?

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Sylvia, I have very short purple ones. I can pot a few up for you.

Dennis

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Sylvia, I have the pink ones I can bring you.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 7b)

I would love any dwarf ruellas. Do they do well from seed, as the tall ones do??? I'll even try those! (seeds) not tall ones...

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

They're not as prolific as the tall ones, but they do clump. I have one in full sun that hasn't done anything, but my ones in part shade do much better.

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

I added a few more to my list of available plants. I dug up a nice sized coral honeysuckle that seems to be doing well. I also dug up two good sized chile petins: Anna gets the the first one, but the other one is available. Plus I still have several virginia sweetspire and woolly stemodia.

Everything must go! :)

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks, Dennis & Stephanie!
Please check my list & let me know what I can bring you!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Dennis, could I please have another Virginia sweetspire?
Let me know what I can give you.
Josephine.

Fort Worth, TX

My husband and I will be out cleaning up the gardens over the weekend and will post a list of what is readily available. Will update my first post here. We have had so much rain, everything should pop out real easy...

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Txmel, I have you down for dwarf ruellia.

Sylvia, can I have one of your white crinums?

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Dennis, is there something I could bring you for the coral honeysuckle?

Charlene

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Dennis, I have a very nice large Salvia coccinea if you would like it for the coral honeysuckle.
Charlene

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

I just came in from working on my fall garden. I potted up nine trades of sweet basil for anyone who has a nice windowsill for winter herbs.

Charlene

Grapevine, TX(Zone 8a)

Charlene, sounds like a great trade. Deal!

Josephine, can I have one of your germanders?

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Sure Dennis, I will put your name on it.

Dallas, TX

Good morning all,

I'm adding a special, non-botanical, request to my list. If I could have your unwanted egg cartons (foam or cardboard doesn't matter), I'd be very grateful.

Thanks,

Kate

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

O.K. Kate, I do have some and I will bring them.
Josephine.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Kate, I can bring you some cartons. I would love a dozen eggs, do you sell them?
I recently gave my chickens away and really miss the fresh yard eggs.
Charlene

Dallas, TX

Thanks Josephine and Charlene,

I don't sell eggs but I have way more than I know what to do with - my girls started laying last week and I've already had 3 dozen eggs from them - so I'll be more than happy to bring you some.

Going to add it to my thread so that I don't forget.

Kate

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Kate, I may have a few accessories like waterers left. I'll look around and if I find some, I'll bring them for you. I gave most of my things away with the chickens, but I think I saw a waterer in the barn the other day.

Thanks for the fresh eggs. We do miss the eggs.

Charlene

Cocobid, I'm interested in your pregnant onion. Is there anything on my list you would like?

Quilter_gal, I'm interested in stevia, if you have any left. I noticed that you have "Texas Natives" on your wants list. I have several on my list - are you looking for sun or shade plants? Woolly stemodia, wood violets, strawberry bush euonymus, turk's cap, and virginia sweetspire are all native.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Sheila you have me linked to the wrong place, here is the link to my list post for you
