OK...checking in!

The new pond is keeping me hopping. I was gifted some new pond plants and I had to pot all them up, then go fishing for the koi next door. They've kept the pond stirred up so bad it won't settle and it's muddy, muddy. Then there's all the regular flowers, mom and dad, grandkids and well, you get the picture, but I'm trying to stay caught up with the threads, just can't post a lot.

Love and miss you though!

It's hard enough for me when I work all day, go home, cook dinner for myself, talk to my mom for an hour or so, water the beds for another hour or so, then come on and try to chat while on Facebook keeping my farms in Farm Town and Farmville going, then it's bedtime. Crazy crazy.

Susan I hope you get to feeling better soon, get some rest and drink lots of water, oh and chicken noodle soup is a lifesaver for me :)

Good morning ladies.
This week it's been a lazy week for me. Don't have to accompany Kel in the mornings, and I've been sleeping in. Body's much rested.

We look forward to Thursdays, as there's this little restaurant about 15 minutes out of town that serves a local specialy called "Chicken Bog" every Thursday. Normally we'll pick up to go boxes, but today, Kel had to bring Murdock to the doctor, so that leaves me to pick up lunch. Think I'll order fried pork chops too :D

Cookie, beauty takes a lot of work huh? If only we have magical elves to do the garden work. I imagine you'll be much 'tanner' than you were a few months ago! Wear a hat please.

Got a dmail from BJ. She's getting her exchange student today. As thought.. she's been busy, but will return in a few days, when things are settled. That's encouraging to get a dmail from her. At least we know she's still with us :D

Morning Ladies,

Nothing new here. Was outside most of day yesterday. Started cutting down an apple tree. Because I found a bunch of "Naked Ladies" growing and they weren't getting enough sun. Mom has been wanting that tree gone for awhile now. But I need SIL to help with taking it all the way down. I just cut off a bunch of branchs that were in the way of the walkway to the car. Apples all over the ground can't have that for fear of stepping on one and falling.

I did get an email from Stacey. She's still looking for work. Wants to sell her house so she can go back to school full time but her hubby isn't going with the plan. She hasn't finished her first book yet, but did start on another one. Said they went to a wedding a couple of weekends ago and made some new friends. Says she's not quite ready to come back to DG. But she did say that she misses all of us and thinks of us everyday. If you have her email drop her a line she will be more than happy to talk to ya. LK, she said she missed your call but by the time she got it, it was too late to call you back.

Need to take mom to get new lense for her glasses then to store for carrots to make a carrot and rasin salad for my aunt's surprise B-day party on Sat.

Jaye you are tempting me. I actually have made tote bags and used to sell them in a bygone day. My Grandmother was the ace of sewing and she used to make them. I have her very simple pattern. All the talk about sewing is sort of giving me the itch. I have her old sewing machine. Nothing fancy.

Oh well..maybe this winter. Right now the sewing machine cabinet is the current resting place for all the Estate paperwork from my MIL. On second thought, I guess if I want to sew something, I should make those placemats I've been hankering for.

Managed to get finished early today. Only had to mow 3 out of 6 lawns. The rest were toasty and I won't mow unless it needs it. I hate to charge people for something if I'm not really giving them much service.

Gotta run for now.

Hi Juanita, you got plenty of time to do one. It's October when you're supposed to send that tote bag out.. me think.

First tote bag I ever made was for Trisha!! Then sent a few out to sisters. Got a bunch of books to inspire me, still the simplest and less daunting will make me finish them off faster!!
Hope Thunder gives me a buddy that will overlook flaws. At least the bottom is guaranteed to not fall out :D

You're an honest one, Juanita. Grasscutters around here do it whether the lawns need it or not. But they're young..

Tummy's a little tender, but my strength is much better, and I can hold food now. Not eating much, until maybe tomorrow.

I've got too many other things going on, sorry. I even dropped out of the Christmas Apron swap. With all the yard work that needs to be done, the 3 - B House swap, the dish towel swap and working on this doll house and Barbie doll clothes. I just can't get into anything more. Besides I really don't have a need for a tote, I've got tons of them.

I wish I had a sewing machine so I could get crackin on learning.. You girls are gonna be a very bad influence on me... I got a mini one from my step mom and so far it doesnt do anything right.. Its so tiny but she said it worked for her.. I Dunno We dont exactly get along anyway I almost wandered if she gave it to me knowing it would make me crazy! I wanna do a bg rag quilt for Tonys new theme request in his room. Blue Dragons.. He wants a mural on th ewall but I think Im going to paint a big dragon on a canvas that way if he changes his mind I could hang it elsewhere or maybe gift it.. I want to use the dragon on the fabric in the painting with similar tones of blue...

Susan so sorry you got sick but am so glad to hear you are on the mend.. Just take it easy okay..

well today has been crazy. Max mowed the back yard and apparently the neighbor mowed between the alley and fence in our parking area, weird they have never done that and it wasnt even high... I went on a small weeding advenure and still need to mow out front but its hot! So lol Here I am hiding in the basement... Actually I got the upstairs cleaned up really good and even arranged the cabinets to fit in the blender my dad had sent home with us the last time we were up. I trimmed back the hosta leaves since they have reestablished themselves.. And best of all played on Farmtown.. lol

Just been a long day even though I was off but heck at least it was productive and I didnt JUST lounge like I wanted too..

Well for now I better run.. we are heatng up the kitchen for pizza and I need to empty the pans out of the oven.. Maybe Tristen will get to try on her clothes..

O and this is my nephew Lane.. Isnt he handsome! He is a senior this year.

Jaye try this chicken recipe. It is one of my own concoctions...

The Best Chicken and Rice

1 package of Mahatma Saffron Yellow Rice
4 chicken thighs skin removed
Chicken Broth
Montreal Chicken Seasoning

Spray a square casserole dish with cooking spray. Empty the pack of rice mix into the dish. Add 1 2/3 cups of chicken broth to the rice mix. Add 1 TBS of butter. Place the chicken thighs on the rice, sprinkle with Montreal seasoning. Cover and bake 45 minutes at 350. After 45 minutes remove the cover and cook until all the broth is absorbed, about 15 minutes. Serve..enjoy..and put the dishes in the dishwasher. Awesome!

Jaye Yupppers my nephew wants to go to college. Im trying for Ohio state everytime I talk to him which isnt that often but they came up and my sister showed him the area once. He spends alot of time in North Carolina too and loves it there. Hard to tell where he will go. Very smart and extremely athletic. He ven works with my brother in law landscaping through the summers along with his brother.... who isnt quite as enthusiastic about school or work... Still love him though and we but heads -- stubborn like me!

As for Tonys room canvas it will be.. May be a big canvas but we will see. He has been with ocean and sea turtles (science buff) for a long time but now its guitars and dragons.. Hes turning into a mini teen on me.. lol

Got Tristen changed and tried to turn on the camera... no batteries and none of what we have in th ehouse is strong enough to turn it on.. ugghhh Sorry just one more tthing to get from the store..

We had supper at a soul food restaurant. The best meat loaf in town. Withno ketchup on top, which is perfect for us diabetics. You all know how much sugar ketchup has right?
Tropicman has this special meat loaf recipe that uses pork sausage. Will have to one day try that too.

Jaye, they think part of the problem will take care of itself....if the financial paperwork goes through so they get some financial help they will do an MRI on his back next month to see if they can figure out what is causing these back issues. Please keep him in your prayers....

My mom's meatloaf was always a combination of ground beef and pork....she always put bacon and onion on top instead of ketchup.

We hit a bad storm coming back from Seattle...lots of lightening and I don't when I have ever seen it rain that hard around here....there is a steep grade coming up from the valley near Tacoma...the water coming down the freeway there was just like we were driving in a river...I was just about to pull off at the 38th street exit and spend some time at the book store there when the rain finally stopped....so lucky there were no accidents on our side....when we got closer to home they must have had one on the North bound side because traffic was almost at a stop for miles!

Well, think I will go enlarge a pattern for a painting I want to start.

Well, I am the late owl tonight---not baby sitting tomorrow so I can finally catch up on my computer threads!!!! Do have one more week--I thought my son realized how long it was until the 24th of August but apparently he doesn't. Oh well, only 3 days next week; then the start back to school. Oh the things I have learned, the laughs, the fun and tired body!!

Signed up for the tote swap already and yes, I am on FB now and have a become addicted to FT and FV with the others. Baaaaaaaaaaaaddddd!

Hi Judy........I am playing with some flowers....mostly just messin' around to get a feel for the paints and brushes again...haven't done any painting for several years and I'm a little rusty....we'll see what appears.

Got my car back today!!!! Again!!! They had to replace a second switch of some sort...did not charge for the tow truck and no labor charge...just the part, since they didn't catch it the first time.....hope it stays running for awhile now.

Has been a long day.....think I am going to call it a night.

Hello all......I have missed you all so much.But with momma and the nice weather,,,and of course FB w/ that dang Farm Town.But I did hit level 34 and I bought my Mansion and still have over a 1,000,000 coins....LOL.Still trying to diet and lose all the weight I can,before that oh so painful sounding surgery.My 12 year old niece is coming tomorrow to stay with me.She will keep me busy !!!!! A week ago Wednesday I was getting ready to go to the store and when I pushed my brake peal to put the car in gear the brakes were fne,and then all of a sudden I heard a pishhhh and the pedal went to the floor.Blew a main brake line.Thank the Dear Lord I was still in the driveway!!!!!! The gas tank had been leaking for a very long time(not real bad,until lately) so I had my step dad tow it to the garage last Friday.I have been going totally stir crazy without it.Hated going to town until I didn't have any options of to stay home or go.Now I want to go ........NEED to go and can't.Hoping it is fixed tomorrow!!!!!!!!! I have NOTHING to feed poor little Whitney......and I mean little ! I haven't asked lately but I think she only weighed 56 pounds about 6 months ago.As soon as the cold ugly weather gets here you'll see a lot more of me......hope you aren't saying ......OH NO,HER AGAIN ~~~~~~~LOL.
