When it's 80 by 10:00 a.m., it's a sure sign of a day that will tax one's energy to the limit. I just went out and watered everything in sight when I saw the doppler radar looking like the raindrops will be passing to our north. I am reminded of why I never wanted to live in my Fla. hometown in the summers.

Tornado warnings for the 3rd or 4th time this summer---getting old---town to our west was hammered, but just lots of lightning & heavy rain here. Glad you saw Billy Wagner's return, Victor---it was a bright spot in a frustrating game.

Wild weather up north yesterday. I hope all are well. We did not get one drop of rain here. Ugh! It was coming towards us and then zip up to the north. Could use some rain here. No nasty storms though thank-you very much. Looks beautiful out, sunny, pretty cloud dotted blue sky. Then you open the door and walk into a wall of heavy muggy air. Yuck. A bit of rain please. :0

Many trees & power lines down all around us----2 roads that we use daily were closed---but no problems on our road, thank God! It's very humid---like trying to breathe through a wet blanket.

Difficult to weed in the sun> Had thunder grumbles north of us in Newburyport, but Not a drop here. Dry soil certainly holds on to the root of the grass with the little tufts along the stem showing where trouble is coming.

Some rain overnight--it was a 'soft' rain. I woke up & heard it, but was able to get back to sleep.
Teeny bit of rain overnight. Hoping for another shower or two today. Cape getting a couple inches right now from Bill. Very humid still and 70 degrees to start out going into 80s. Not much of breeze either to stir the air. Hope by the end of the week some drier air may come down from Canada and give the ac a rest.
