Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Can you EXPLAIN, Bill??

85 and hazy. Supposed to go to the Mets game on Thursday and they're saying t-storms. Ugh.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

HOTTER THAN HELL

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

What's with the EXPLAIN in the forecast????

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

82 and sunny, not as humid right now. Tried to rain earlier.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

that was a copy and paste - explain was a link to explain what the realfeel means - like wind chill effect - jeez!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee! Thanks for explaining.

91 and sunny. Not too humid right now - just hot.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I see a bad news storm is named Bill!

Yeah and if it hit us we would all be going WHAAAAAAAA - Its more humid than I like.

South Hamilton, MA

Still 91; really tired of this, can't work in the garden.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

really will have to watch the news tonight - with a name like that it should be a big one:)

sanded the front entry way and had the power sanded out for the landing - man it was hot out there - quite at 3 with two 1/2 planks left - went on my daily bike ride - and just back from the squanacook river - was nice to float in there for 20 minutes!

The upped it to a Cat 3.
We had a crazy storm run thru here tonight, blowing my pots all over the deck.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

ooh, sorry Jen, any damage?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh no.. hope all is well Jen

72 now going up to 89... thunderstorms

South Hamilton, MA

73 here now--don't know weather prediction. Clothes from the closet sticky to get on.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

This hurrican bill will not be a good thing if it hits - they say it will "pass" on Sunday - my daughter is getting married sunday and the church is st. vasilios which means william in greek - to many coinsidences?

another 90+ day here already humid - well it never really turned off - have the sprinklers on

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Rain last night HHH already. Mom has a cardiologist appt today. I'm not looking forward to taking her out in this.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Hot Hot Hot!! Still better than snow in my eyes...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

83 and breezy. 56% humidity. Looks unsettled for the next few days.

Bill is now a 4, but looks to be a thread to Bermuda, not us.

Central Park had major damage from a storm last night. Worst in decades. Lost many 100 year old trees. What a shame.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Okay I give! It is just obscene out there today again. Bumping 90 degrees and very muggy. No breeze at all. Sun has burned the early clouds away and its heating up fast. Dry as a desert in the garden. Been watering by hand, all we are allowed to do,for last few mornings. Tried to get after the crab grass and weeds in a small section but only lasted about 20 minutes. Rotten stuff is setting seeds already. Any chance we could get Bambi to eat the horrid stuff? You knew that even with all that rain by the time mid august rolled around rain would be very welcome again. Small chance of showers next few days, maybe we will get lucky and have one pass through. I hope it is not like the one down there in Central Park, what a terrible thing to lose all those old trees. Bill can stay out in the ocean even though the rain would be nice but nothing else that comes with it.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Uh oh!

Ya we are keeping an eye on it. Erosion is the worst thing from the swells and high tides on the south coast and islands. We will not get any effects where I am unless the track moves a little more west. The storm front that is supposed to kick it out to sea is supposed to dump up to 3" of rain on us saturday all by itself.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

It was a crazy storm, I was driving home from parent orientation at my son's school and it was like Dorothy trying to make it home before the tornado. Stuff was flying across the road. It was dark out but you could see the outline of the storm. The clouds were verticle so I kept watching it to make sure it didn't start to spin. Went thru really fast though, just knocked over the flower pots on the deck.

South Hamilton, MA

Keep us up to date on the central park damage ,please, Victor.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sure.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Maybe I should have gone to Central Park on Saturday - that's too bad.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

69 now going up to 87 ... more thunderstorms this afternoon

Falmouth, ME(Zone 5b)

80's and drier air... lovely!

South Hamilton, MA

73 going to 82? Hope it stays that cool.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

77 and humid. Hope the rain stays away from the Mets game tonight.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

David said even though they lost last night they had a good time at the game.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Great! It is a nice stadium, though too much Dodger influence in my opinion.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

78 and humid. Storm came through last night. Calling for cooler weather by the weekend.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I wish they were calling for cooler weather here.
Another nasty humid day.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Nasty, poor trees.

South Hamilton, MA

Thsnk you for the information--It doesn't look like a 'clear cut' as bad as it was.

Thomaston, CT

Glad the weather is cooler now that I left Pittsford! It is stifling here, with very tall thunderclouds---

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

It is another hot and hazy day here in southern New Hampshire. I'm sure the veggies love it - and the caladiums too, but I'm wilting! Hopefully we'll get a shower tonight and then it's supposed to be very hot and humid tomorrow.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

i agree - today was worse than yesterday even though it was not as hot.
