And a close-up of his / her face. I didn't get to look at the
neck, so I could not determine for certain. Much too wriggly:
For the love of amphibians!
What a funny, puffed-up looking little critter!
Wuvie - Never seen nor even heard of such. Was he in your yard or pond? Not the prettiest little guy, but certainly very interesting, especially if he just showed up. If so, they must have sent out the word that you have ideal conditions.
Wuvie's got the posh froggie resort, all the frogs want to live there! :)
LOL Pony, indeed. All the frogs in Cherokee County know where to go.
We've seen plenty of these little guys, but this one was by far the fattest
little booger I'd seen. They like to hide under rocks, so when I flipped one
up and over, there he was, ready to run. After the photo shoot (LOL) he
was put back where he was before I disturbed him.
Here is a lighter one found earlier this year, sitting on a bowling ball:
I love that little one. Too cute. I searched for more info on him and found that they have unusual vocals.

Hahaha! They sound like sheep! My hubby just said he's glad we don't have those here. hehehe.
Oh my gosh, you should hear them when a pond full of them get
going. The males all hang out in a pond tub we have, and it is
LOUD. There are also many that hang out behind the office, and
when they get going, it is hilarious. It does sound like a flock of
sheep, all going 'Mehhhhhhhhhhhhhh' at the same time.
Very loud for such little guys.
That one looks like it's doing some kind of frog yoga!
Every one of my frogs has disappeared. I haven't seen one in five days. I'm so sad. I'm afraid birds got them or something :(
Pony.sorry to hear about your MIA frogs. They do tend to wander but sometimes return. Keep up the faith that they will return and bring some friends back with them.
This little guy has been keeping me entertained. He sits on these rocks and tries to catch the bee's in the hollyhocks. He jumps up towards the flowers and usually misses the bee and ends up making a back flip into the water. He then sulks for a while and starts the cycle all over again. This has been going on for a few day's now.
