Ming Porcelain, which I just gave away. Not that it isn't nice, but I'm trying to make room for ones I want for hybridizing.

That Newberry Touch is pretty wild looking, nutsfordaylily.

Happy Birthday to your GD, DonnieBrook. Sorry you couldn't make the party but she won't know that you missed it! We had cupcakes for all the guests and then candles for both on one cake, my oldest had do the honors, with a little help from me.

Karen, just gorgeous.
Dyane, must be a boy if you've never been this sick.

Some real beauties there, Karen---great color on Elegant Era. Dyane, I did plant Double Click from seed as well as 4 or 5 other packets----I just sprinkle them in my veggie garden---I see many varieties, but not Double Click---it may have been just too cold & rainy for them.

Where's Patti? I'm missing her wonderful collages.

And thanks to Karen and DonnieBrooke on the wellwishes on the cooler weather! The high today on my porch thermometer was 90. It was great!

Beautiful DL's Karen.
Thanks for the Kudos Patti.
We have had family reunions for 2 weeks.
SIL's mothers reune here 2 weeks ago 20 people and the following Tuesday 8 people showed up from California to stay here ( we knew it was going to happen) for SIL's fathers reune.50 people partied somewhere else but the California crowd wew here for a week.
They are good guests and mind the babies 7mos and 3 years old.
They go out for meals a lot and buy groceries and replace the milk they used and put up and tare down their own bedding so we are not constantly being hostesses.
The noise level and verbal confusion drove me nuts.
I'm back to my crazy sleep pattern or I would be up an hour later.
Gotta talk to a tree guy about a pine that is dying.
Its part of the shade garden. I hope we can save it because I dont want to move all those columbines and epimediums and ferns.
The area wont be full sun if the tree comes down but I think part sun instead.
Some-one please tell me the plants will be fine if the tree has to come down.
Its a conifer ,thats all I know about it.
Not spruce, maybe white pine.
Tree guy comes at 3 this PM
I'll get back to you with the diagnosis and treatment.

it's always nice having good company visit... sounds crazy & nice at the same time

good luck with the tree!

I sure learned a lot about my daughter's in-laws.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

is that good or bad... LOL

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

It's good,they are mostly disfunctional.
Too many "chiefs" trying to manage too many people for outings and the final trip to the airport.
I seem to attract the ones who were not related by blood and they unloaded their frustrations on me.
It was amusing. I had the garden and my apartment to retrest to whenthings got crazy.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

aren't we all.... sometimes it is good to be able to hide when needed

I agree with what you just said Allison! I have many hiding places in the garden! It's almost always intentional when I can't hear that i'm being called.

Your company sounds interesting Jo Anne. It also sounds as if it could've been much worse for that many people, so that's a good thing. Pretty Lily too!
