That dahlia is very striking! Wow, It's almost as tall as me. I knew you'd like 'Tom', the good news is he only gets better with time!

Allison your 'Volcano' is really nice, so is 'Black Beauty'. Mine has yet to open but they last a long time once it starts.
I can't believe how many hummers you seem to have, i'v only had one or 2 this year. I think it's because of the big predator birds that are nesting near by.

DL 'Night Beacon'

Thanks, Jen, Jo Anne, Celeste and Marilyn!

That Black Beauty is a stunner, Allison!

Tom Pounce is a beautiful lily, Jo Anne.

Lake Carey is gorgeous, too, Celeste, and Angelique is precious. Night Beacon is a favorite DL of mine.

These NE picture forums are a lot to keep up with! Everyone's pics are gorgeous!
Wow Karen that first Prairie Blue Eyes cross is stunning! That's one I would want to grow! I love your Mae Graham too. Actaully I love all of them but those two stood out to me!

Here is an unusual pic I got. How many honeybees does it take to pollinate a pumpkin flower? : )

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Apparently a lot! :) Lovely pics everyone!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I think they may be pollinating more than the flower...

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

My tree guy Brad was here and its the scotch pine borer beetle.
Two trees are infected.
One tree worse than the other so it will have to come down and they will start a systemic treatment of the other tree in hopes to save it.
I will wait to see if the second tree lives (about 2 years to tell) and then if its a gonner I'll take it down too and replace with a redbud .
Treatments aare 75 bucks each treatment. He didnt say how many in a season.
I said the value of the plants in that area is more than the cost of treatment and tree removal.
End of October for the really bad tree. Treatments start ASAP.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Jo Anne...... Ouch!!!! I'm sorry to hear that about your trees. That's bad. Hopefully the better one end up making it, especially given the cost of the treatments!

Meredith.... great pic!

Ok Pixie...... how many Daylilies do you have??? lol. They are all lovely.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Well JoAnn that stinks.

Sorry, Jo Ann. Might be cheaper just to cut your losses and drop both of them. Depends on how much you really like them.

Sorry about the trees, Jo Ann---I have a very tall white pine not looking good---Dh would like to cut them all, but I worry about the birds. Allison, like the Volcano---Pixie, I'm drooling over Night Beacon, & Jen that's a cheery looking lantana. Here's a bright phlox I wish I had more of...

Nice doggie pic! Try cropping it with the pooch in the upper right-hand corner so it's just the dog and the bloom!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

None of my phlox survived powdery mildew this year. I've spraying the milk mix but with all the rain we keep getting doesn't look like it's helping at all. Should I just cut them all down????

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Sorry to hear about the scotch pine beetle, JoAnn ..... Glad you have someone to take care of it properly for you! Makes a big diference.

Lantana looks great! Nice color!!

All those DL's .... I don't even think I would have room for just the FAVORITES of all the favorites.

I can't believe how many blossoms there are on the StarGazers this year! Like a tsunami .....
