Susan those sound great, that is what I would like to have for along the drive and walkway....

Wish I wasn't too hot and tired to go outside an take a picture right now....the whole western horizon is just flaming Red Orange.....according to the temp at the bank down the street it was 105 at four this afternoon....it usually varies about 3 degrees from what the tv reports for our area so it was HOT here today....is still HOT here........and tomorrow is supposed to be the really HOT day :(

Going to my first sewing class tonight to make the jacket froma sweatshirt. I got the material all wrinkled like they wanted but forgot that interfacing was not as wide as fabric and need more to cover the back. I'm excited to see how this is going to come out.

Still looking for a dog with no luck. Went to visit one on Monday but it just didn't click. Wonderful dog and I feel sorry not to take it since the foster Mom thinks I am just right but I just couldn't get excited over this particular dog. Maybe it is still to soon after Shadow is gone and I am making comparisons; don't know but will keep on looking. Most of the breeders for Flat-coated Retrievers seem to be in Tx., Ca, Fl, GA, and NY. Always thought I wanted a rescue dog but may have to settle for a pure-blood.

Last night I couldn't come on as my mind was tired.
Kel took me out to Ryan's as it was catfish night. Their fried whole catfish on the buffet bar were good. Beats all the restaurant price at the beach.
Got home pretty late, and I called my ex SIL to get news on ex.

Thank you ladies, for your prayers and well wishes. The surgery was a success!! Now he will have to undergo intensive follow-up checkups to make sure that his body won't reject the new organ.

Got a couple at work, and I'd tell them that if they can't articulate what they want, don't blame me if I misunderstood. Once I told one of them to write down what he said.. that embarrassed the bloke and he threatened to sue me for 'abuse'. I apologized first if he felt that way, then I told him that the rest of us should be suing him for mental abuse!!

Sorry the weather's getting intolerable for you Trisha. Hope you find some relief. Here in the South, high heat and humidity is part of life, in the summer. But like Crissy says, for you that's not used to it, make sure you all know to be careful. Stay indoors if possible.. find some shade.. avoid the hot roads.. and HYDRATE with mineral drinks that has potassium.

Jaye, that is a nice age to be! It may be a pretty cake, but if you don't eat it, it will goto waste. I say that same thing about pretty candles, if you don't burn them, you can't enjoy them!

I'll pass on best wishes to DH. We are on the Mediterranean Diet here, so were are cheating a little and having turkey burgers tonight in lieu of his favorite burgers with red meat. Oven fries and salad. Not too exciting, but hey this is finally working for me.

Susan, I’d happily take some of your rain, it’s supposed to be 106 here today.

I had to do some gardening yesterday or I was going to lose plants, it was over 100 degrees, it looked like I’d soaked myself by the time I was finished, so I did soak myself after that. At least 90% of my yard is partial shade so my plants aren’t doing too badly.

Linda Kay, we’ve had a lot of 90+ weather and we’re not used to it. Yesterday and today are record breaking temperatures, with most people not having A/C or swimming pools. The news suggested that people having trouble with the heat should go to places like the library and that if you go in the water, even in places with life guards, to be extra careful due to the amount of people that will be in the water.
