LOL Juanita, I did tell Mom the next time I would like a full jar!!! Now waiting for her to get some guavas to cook. Interesting fact Jaye about the leaves. Lean something every day.
Well I am off to beddy bye--really tired from today. Be safe and all have a wonderful weekend if I don't get back online soon.
۞ Sweet Interruptions ۞154
Learned that from a Cambodian, Maid M..
Wishing you a great weekend too, not too hot.
Cody, hope your day was a good one. I am sure Alex has been bugging you to return to feed dem alligators :D
Trisha, what's for supper tonight? We had some seafood soup cooked in chicken broth, with slices of ginger. Added some bean vermicelli and tofu cubes. Kel left the tofu alone!
I'm off to bed.. good night ladies.
Really bad tonight.....mom bought ribs if I would cook them.....BBQ Ribs, baked Beans and Corn on the Cob.....was good, but way off the diet:(
Kel and Laura should get together....she doesn't like Tofu, Bill and I could live on it!! Once in Taipei we went for a whole week having nothing but Tofu dishes and never had the same thing twice....sooo good!!
Also, did you hear that Dusty and Jim found a house??? They are ready for the move now and can relax for awhile.
Got a little work done in the back tonight until the little buzzing things started biting.... going to leave the bind weed and blackberries for Antonio....but there are a few things I want to make sure he does not pull up....if his brother is along it is okay as his English is pretty good....but Antonio doesn't always understand the English, and I don't do Spanish....
Well, have a good night.....sleep well............
Kel do eat tofu, unless they're deep fried. What other way for a Southerner?
Me too could eat that everyday, even as a dessert. Chill it and pour a sweetener over.. yummy.
No, didn't know about Dusty acquiring a new home. She must be excited! Poor lady... didn't she just unpack??
You're lucky in getting some help. Gardening is truly for the young and physically able, I find! But then, when you see all those blooms, for a while, you forgot about all those nights smelling like Bengay!!
Good night Trisha!
Good Night Jaye
Good Night Cody....
Good morning ladies!
Coffee's on... let's try some pomegranate juice this morning. Best antioxidant and good for your heart too.
Whole wheat toast.. your choice of spread and let's indulge in fresh mango slices. And how about some morning music to get your juices flowing... "It's gonna be a bright, bright, bright, sun-shiny day!"
Oops, might be the wrong song if temperatures were to soar above 80!
Fortunately for me, the usual Saturday hullabaloo. A little housework, water the plants, give some attention to the furbabies ourside, make a list of sundry and staples needed and while waiting on Windtalker to return, perhaps do some essential reading.
I do hope you all have a great weekend. And if you so chose to be on Farm'world'.... don't forget to breathe!!!
Prayers were sent earlier for us all....
Oops.. this is Valley Rose, I think.

Cookie, that is a making of a paradise!!
I understand why you've been hauling rocks!! Love that waterfall. All that labor.. hope you got some help.
Will there be more aquatic plants and maybe some koi swimming around? Nice place for contemplation...
Thanks for sharing, Cookie.
Yes, Jaye....lots more plants and koi, too. I told Dusty I wouldn't bring the fish over until she leaves. She and Jim really enjoy feeding and watching them. There are plenty of lilies to move over, too. They just need to be divided and repotted. I'm working on getting containers.
Well, it's a stormy morning here. Hope it clears a little!
Cookie you have really taken on a big job. That pond is wonderful and you will really enjoy it when it is done, but oh, the work! Now I see why we haven't heard from you. Hope the job is going well and you soon will have a lovely place to sit and enjoy.
Handsome Kyle! Cookie, next on your list to do, I'm sure will be a gazebo facing the waterfall.
Beautiful Juanita, now you can make more plate clocks, maybe personalized them and you'd have Christmas gifts all ready.
Hi Janice. I mailed out the box yesterday, you should have the books and block Tuesday, hopefully.
Morning everyone. Jaye, thanks for the breakfast. Very good! Love the pond. WOW! Gonna be teriffic when done!
Dusty, congrats on the new home!
Marion, those little ones, surprise us all the time, with what comes out of thier mouths!!!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Later
LK
Hi everyone!!Jaye, hope you are enjoying your shopping day.
Afternoon everyone...started out the day at almost 70*.....going to keep climbing as the seek progresses.
Cookie it is going to be fantastic.....that is the pond I would LIKE to have, but as long as we are renting here will have to be content with my puddles....
Need to get a few things done before it gets too warm.....have to do flowers for Church today....then just going to relax for a bit.
Talk to you later.
Cookie - love the pond! Looks like something fairies would love to play at/in! :-)
Juanita - beautiful plates, and they Didn't Burst - good job!
Crissy - you sure Are a newlywed! Still have the blush of the honeymoon lol
There are times when I feel like a newlywed (10 years) and other times I feel like we've been married Forever, cuz we "fit" together soooooooo well! Lovely, isn't it?
Going back to my friend's today to work on her yard again, and still have to clear more out of the den for my mom who arrives Next Saturday Yaaaaaaaaay!!
Renewed prayers for everyone - bless you all!
Susan
oh gosh, Trisha - thanks for reminding me - I have to go work at the Church garden, and water the indoor plants - I've been lax at doing that, but NOT lax at
oh-so-many-things-on-my-plate...(just like all of us, eh?)
Ammmm baaaaaack!!
Thanks Cody.
It was quite comfy today, not too hot and we had Lola with us. Didn't stay long at any stores, even did a drive in for lunch.
Sonic's. Foot long hot dog for Kel, a regular one for Lola and Trisha, don't read the next line..
my first bacon cheeseburger in months!!!
I was good though.. no fries. Had my first java chiller too and it was goooood. Extra insulin of course.
Needless to say, I spent on fabric. Stepped into an ongoing embroidery class and wasn't persuaded to start on embroidery :D Imagine that! Normally, I'm a soft sell but not today. I'll just stick to quilting and apron making!
Then we're off to a pet store. Got to stock up on those Wingalings.. Ali's favorite. One place that Lola can shop with us. I avert my eyes when we pass the puppies' crate.
I'm sure they all came from a puppy mill.
Right now, Kel is out there grilling steaks for supper. Got some fresh asparagus and no carbos.. just those proteins.
Trisha, I love your water feature. I take your 'puddle' anytime! Can't hurry Kel to do mine. He hasn't even bought the lining.. etcetra..etcetra.. Got a low spot picked out, but me think I might just forget about it this year :(
C_Susan and Trisha.. proud of you sistahs!
It's a shame I don't do much for the church except for lessons. Fortunately there are 2 couples that take turns to maintain the church grounds.
And as for floral arrangement, just the same seasonal silk flowers.
Pretty low maintenance there!
thank ya, sistah Jaye!
Between the church grounds, inside the church, and my friend Marlene's yard (she's the Church Board), you Could Say I'm all garden'ed Out, but I'm not! hahahaha This is SO my fav season - as it is for all of us DG'ers lol
I haven't been to the church yet, cuz it's soooo blamed HOT hoooooweeeee
I was waiting till the heat subsided before I went further than my deck....
I have to water the church garden, and do some work on Marlene's yard. We're building her a rain barrel stand. Her barrel has been in the side yard, with no access to rain, for years lol It may be a case of "clean rain gutters, reset down spout, make stand, put barrel ON stand, and make a gutter for the barrel itself (to direct over-flow - should the rain barrel get over-full). Busy, busy, busy!!
cya sistahs, tomorrow! Have a good evening.
Rest well Susan.
You've been pretty busy yourself too, Cody. Your shrimp plant is full of blooms. Will you be adding more to the bed?
Stomach's full, night shots and meds taken, so I'm off to bed myself.
Don't you stay up too late Cody. Give those hands a rest, don't want them flare up.
Good night everyone. Sleep well.
Hello all - done all my work for the day.........
Thought I'd pop in and see who was here, but you're all gone for the night........ good-night, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!! :-)
i'm still up.
oh - hello Rose! How are you?
Fine,by the way my name is Cody. How are you?
Doin' juuuuuuust fine, ty Cody. We haven't had much chance to chat b4.
I gather you're in Louisiana? 'fraid I'm not "up" on my US abreviations lol
Hi Susan, yes,i live in Louisiana home of the Cajun.LOL!!!

hahahaha ok!
I would love to visit Lousiana - so much history, and so colourful!
The festivals would be wonderful to see, and as I love old architecture, that would be fabulous! I can see myself roaming through the old cemetaries, etc.
Do you have any pics of your city?
Been hot here today too Susan.....at least it is cool inside at Church....I do the Fresh Flower Arrangements the last weekend of each month. We have a calendar set up at the end of the year and members sign up and pay $20 for a flower arrangement and notice in the weekly bulletin stating who donated and whether it is a Birthday, Anniversary or In Memory of.... There are three of us who donate our time to do the arrangements. I love this time of year when we have a great assortment of flowers in our various yards to add to the Roses or other Bouquets we get at Costco or Safeway.
First semi cool day I need to go weed out one or two beds on the Church grounds. The regular grounds keeper has retired and there is not anyone doing regular upkeep now. No money in the budget and we don't seem to be over run with volunteers right now....
Cody that is going to be really beautiful!
Good night Jaye....hope you rest well....
Took this about twenty minutes ago on our walk with the dog...
Cody - I just realized the time - it's almost 11pm for me, and midnight for you lol
I'm going to head out for now, but hope to see you tomorrow! Take care, god bless, and sweet dreams!
Sorry,i live in a little town.It is not that big,you make one loop and that is it.I live about 3 or 4 hours before you get where the Cajuns live.Louisiana is known for their hot spicey cajun food.

Good night Susan....Sleep well.....
Trisha - beautiful, beautiful sunset! I love sunsets, and miss the ones I used to get when I lived in more open prairies - in Manitoba. Now that I live nearer the mountains, and in a close-quartered trailer part, I don't get to see the majesty of the sunsets anymore. It's one thing I miss, but there are so many things I Don't miss (like the extreme heat!) that I'm fine with missing sunsets. Sooooooo glad you posted that pic, though!
Good night to everyone! take care, and see you tomorrow!! (this time for real lol)
Thanks,Trisha,i'm wanting to put hardy Hibiscus in that bed next summer.I will move some stuff out of their.
