Best/Worse/What did I learn today..visit with friends #115

Prayers in progress Debbie. I'm sure she will be okay....

Jenn has been having trouble with asthma type issues. They have tried allergy testing, blood work and several breathing treatments and inhalers. They were checking for inflamation in the esophogus, acid reflux, you name it....that could be causing her problems....and doing biopsies in their and the top of the stomach area.

The endoscopy was already scheduled for today....and she was in the recovery room after that and started having the pain on her right side.

Crissy, I had an appendectomy about five years ago. Told them to take it out while they were in there removing my gall bladder. Did it all laproscopic. They said then that I had several attacks that I had apparently ignored as it was quite full of scar tissue. Told me I was a lucky lady.

Bev, how is Scotty doing today, hope he's improving...

Barb, everything back to normal (whatever normal is) at your house? are you sewing?

I did pick up some fat quarters at Joanne's on Saturday but I'll be looking for some cute little fabric stores when Debbie and I are travelling..

We are starting our first night on the Friday night staying just south of Cincinnatti providing all goes well with Bonnie (Defoecat)..that will be our long day..other than that..short jaunts from place to place...

Know I had a needle in my bad but can't find it so guess unless I go to the $$$ store at lunch I'll have to quit working on my project...

Jeff called me, he's enjoying the day with friends...I told him he has to quit referring to the kayak as his coffin..gives me the heebee jeebers...

Debbie, I'm sure she's in good hands...saying prayers for her well being..

It is past my lunch hour..trying to put it off until later..that way, the afternoon will fly by...

Thanks Betty. He is not moving arround much and that is not good, but when he does he just walks a little ways and has to sit down cuse breathing is hard and he starts wheezing. The Congestive Heart Failure and Diabetis is progressing fast. Wish that new doc would call but Scotty won't do what he says either. HUGS BEV

How overwhlemed and worried you must be Bev...do you still have your son staying with you?

With him so ill, do they have any kind of homecare they can offer...wish I lived closer I could not only give you a hand but help out a bit...

Bev do you have neighbors that live close by?

I would imagine there has been no trailer time for you both...

2nd woman: I died of a massive heart attack. I suspected that my husband was cheating, so I came home early to catch him in the act. But instead, I found him all by himself in the den watching TV.

1st woman: So, what happened?

2nd woman: I was so sure there was another woman there somewhere that I started running all over the house looking.
I ran up into the attic and searched,and down into the basement... Then I went through every closet and checked under all the beds.
I kept this up until I had looked everywhere, and finally I became so exhausted that I just keeled over with a heart attack and died.

1st woman: Too bad you didn't look in the freezer---we'd both still be alive.

I'm 61 and Suzanne 51..I must either look awfully old and Suzanne awfully young..made my day...lol

Thanks guys. I didn't mean to sound like Scotty is near deaths door!! He is getting progressively worse but not bad enough that I need help. Thank you so much for your caring. He says that I am the only one that he will let help him. It is taking a toll on me after 8 yrs I know but the Lord is keeping me going. He is so stuburn. I hate to see him in the hospital in his right mind!!! HUGS BEV

Update on Jenn....

It is not append....esophogus scoping showed a fungus in throat, most likely from one of the inhalers....and gasteritis. Pain in the side most likely reaction from one of the meds she is given while under anesthesia. She is home...and napping!

I have to go clean....been on the computer too much today.

Oh I'm just as plugged up as ever, now it's in my ears too. I'm just glad it's out of my throat.

I miss California's Taco Trucks. Man some of those are delicious.

LOL Betty that's funny. Me and Dave were somewhere, don't remember where now, seems like a grocery store, they thought Dave was my dad...

He's so lucky to have you Bev..only thing that bothers me being on my own is getting older and no one to share my aches/pains with or look after or he me...that's the downfall...

Cannot imagine all the energy it must take each and everyday...thank goodness for your gardens..although hard work must give you joy working in them..


Debbie, hoping I don't go to bed at 7:30 tonight, could do some cleaning out in the 'secret garden' notice the table/chair needed cleaning and the candle chandelier had an awful lot of webbing on it this morning when I walked the gardens..my problem is the mosquito's...

Could use some house clenaing as well..

I am trying not to fall into nap mode here. Shane just left for work, he works til close tonight...so will be home between 10:30 and 11:00.

Shannon is feeling the pain from her vaccines yesterday. Has been icing them off and on. Just like when a baby...slight fever.

Wanted to say we are getting a heavy rain here right now....so probably headed your way.

Don't send it my way...at the lunch truck today they have a hanging plant, looked pretty limp to me so asked them for a container of water and I watered it...even though we've had rain here and there it hasn't been enough to do much good so I'll water everything well tonight then watch it rain..

LOL it's not headed my way, we just got finished with ours, for now.

Well 3:00 and two hours to go. I want something to eat and don't know what. Now all the downtown lunch restaurants are closed so I better be content with what we have here in the kitchen.

Well it needs it Crissy..they are almost done the sidewalks in front of the office, so much sand/gravel can't keep car clean..so I thought I'd wash it on the weekend...well 2 of the other roads I take for work are dug up..400 Hwy. and Vasey Road..wash the car and 5 minutes later it looks the same..

OMG I'm really tired, have a feeling it's home, open the door, bath, on with jammies and goodnight all...

I do great when I don't go inside after work..opened the door, got my work shoes on and just came in..NOT because I'm tired, worked that off, because the mosquitos just got 1/2 my blood..

Can't believe how a lot of the grass is dying..we all think we're getting a lot of rain but apparently not..everything has now been watered..went and read a little of Jeff's day and now I'm ready for a hot bath..late lunch so no need of supper...

The best lock is the at Big Chute though..it's the only one of it's kind in the entire world..have to take a drive up to photograph it next time I'm in the Foxy Lady...hey, if I soon don't go boating I'll be parking it in the yard again waiting for snow...

Thank you all for your well wishes....Day #2 was a LOT better...I was actually singing when I walked in the door after work. DH can't believe the transformation...

I got to ride with another rep today and had lunch with a few....they asked about my previous employment and were amazed at how horrible it was compared to my new job....

Trisha / Liz - are there any cannas I might have that you want? Surely they will come back next year? We are 8B....But I think sometimes in areas it's more like a 9a....We've got green leaves/yellow, variagated leaves/orange.... I've got a sweet potato vine that I'm throwing cuttings away weekly....but if I send you that ...you might hate me...I love the vine but it does tend to take over and spread...

Hey Judy - DS is a big guy? As a Center...they usually are... Wish my DS had gone out for Football but I am glad he's in Band....

Crissy - I had guessed 36...but I think I cheated because you had told me once...I think.... Yes - You are now officially the "Baby Sister". LOL!

Geez - what does this mean.... I had 2 "Horse" posters...one was a bday present...the other was one of those black light flourescent posters with the fuzzy black velvet and neon colors...when you turned the black light on it was groovy !

Go figure - I had ridden horses but like maybe a few times...definitely not a hobby...I guess I was having an identity crises....I think I had an 'inspirational' poster or 2 ....from a school fundraiser...

You know I was an art major....and my project was to make a "black light" poster. I did one with the words from Fleetwood Macs "Don't Stop" and deco'd it out. Had that. And instead of horses....I had unicorns. Upstairs in my attic is an entire collection of them.....I wasn't allowed "clutter" or "chatchkees" as some call them....but when I was out on my own started collecting unicorns. Haven't done that in over 25 years! LOL

I listened to the "cool" popular music...but when alone in my room or in bed at night I would quietly turn the radio on....and listen to "oldies" from from the 1950's & also Motown...or Country music. But never let my friends know that. Sort of like the "closet" Donny Osmond thing! LOL

Well, good luck on your 3rd day of work tomorrow. I hope it is as good or better than today.
