Just a quick few minutes inside......doing my best to keep mom occupied....she talked to my sis last night....just what she needed to add to her depression..... sis fell on the stairs and hurt her back (she just got back to work after 3 plus months off with back problems), my nephew is having seizures and they don't know why and BIL is having a reaction to his headache meds (he suffers from almost continuous headaches and they can't find a cause) ...if it wasn't for their bad luck they wouldn't have any at all.
Yes I am definitely enjoying the pond.....I think our Liz deserves much of the credit as she has supplied me with a number of beautiful plants!!!
Liz, speaking of which, thank you so much for all the ziplock bags, rubberbands and new dusting cloths!!!! ....LOL.... Oh, and the plants are resting happily in the pond and the back fountain now! I needed shade plants in the back tub quite badly....now those little fish are much happier!!
Put up a Niger Thistle feeder in the front yard.....I have had beautiful little goldfinches at the feeder and bath off and on all day.....doing a happy dance there....I love the wild canaries...they are our state bird.
Still have things to do outside, will check in later.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today..visit with friends #115
Betty, that looks so delicious! I am so happy Cathy took my advice. LOL This mental telapathy can come in handy some times.
Well, the one thing I can think of for the garden...start putting some mums in? My daylillies that I have from mom were disappointing this year. BUT it was due to the rain, they bloomed...it rained and the petals were gone. My Moonflowers, which normally are all over the side of my house on the south side....I am lucky to have three out of the entire side even up. You can't usually see the house there. None of my morning glories took at all.
Zhinusmom...so sorry about your DS. I do understand the "if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all" which always reminds me of the Hee-Haw song.....that is the way it is here with us.
Hang on Debbie, my morning glories are just starting to grow, they're about as tall as I am and no blooms whatsoever.
Trisha I'm sorry too. Horrible about the back injury and the fall. That's weird they can't find the cause of his headaches, should show up in CAT Scan or MRI, or something. And DS's seizures. My goodness.
I forgot all about Hee Haw, barely remember it anyway.
Crissy....are you saying I am OLD thats why I remember it? ROFLMBO
If my morning glories are not up and blooming by now, they probably wont....we get cold here end of August early September usually....and in all reality, it hasn't even been warm or hot here yet. They said will be in the 80s this week...but rain every day.
Oh I forget that your summers are a lot shorter than ours. What's considered hot? Our hot is usually mid 90's.
LMBO I made Dave feel old yesterday. We toured Graceland and Dave was saying he remembers when those cars were made and when paneling was popular in the 70's, and shag carpet, and so on. I remember having it but I don't remember it being in model homes. As far as the cars, I don't remember those at all. I remember having a 1976 Toyota Corrola station wagon but I don't remember buying it.
I had no clue I was so far behind on my threads. I really haven't been trying to ignore you guys! I'll try to keep up now. It's hard when DH is home, he gets first dibs on the computer and I've had a lot going on recently. I went to my Brother-in-laws wedding this weekend. They couldn't have asked for a better day to do it. I'll try to remember to put up some photos. I've also been working my hands off on my wedding present for them and am basically only started on it. I designed a cross stitch pattern with a Celtic knot boarder and poem in the middle, but it's so much work. It's the biggest cross stitch I've taken on; though simpler than the tiger I made for mom. I think it'll be worth it in the end.
Evening all
Just after my last post got comfy in bed, no supper, fell asleep and woke to the telephone and Sailor howling..it was Suzanne, she was going to my son Greg's to see the glass table tops he installed on his decking, thought she might like a few for her new pool deck...told me about her work plans in the city tomorrow...ok now I'm awake...
Hang up, fall asleep, telephone rings, Suzanne, told me to go look out my window, I do, nothing, could she mean my side window??? well thinking DB Bernie who did her deck might have done something here..nope...so I go back to the telephone and she says she's in my yard..come on out..bring a camera..now what could she be up to...
Glad I did, what a beautiful view..
Laura that's a tremendous amount of work..bet they are appreciative of your love for them both..omg that's the only thing I've tried and just can't get into..it certainly is my mom's thing, she's done so many cross stitch quilts..absolutely gorgeous..are you home already? as the yard coming? flowers blooming..do you love your gardens? know it's your first year but I bet there is such an improvement...are you feeling much better? so many questions...I heard that Sage enjoyed the trip..sometimes it's difficult for children sitting long ways..always better if you brought something entertaining for her..
Trisha, sorry to hear about your sister..my sister Sharon has bad back and seems she over compensates and get into trouble...your mother must be so worried with them not living close and not knowing what's happening, poor dear..no wonder she's feeling stressed out? Is your sister bedridden again? hope she got herself checked out...
How old is her son? Is it childhood seizures?
You wonder how some people can cope on a day to day basis with headaches..suffering from migraines for many years I know it totally make you not function..thank the Lord for Excedrin Migraine...has he gone to a headache clinic to be assessed? sometimes weather plays a large part in having headaches...
Liz is a doll...can just imagine how she packed up your plants..lol..babied them didn't she...
Crissy, lets see what's the most youthful memory I have...hmmm...remember getting a Chatty Cathy doll, was one of the first homes to get t.v., would visit neighbors and they had no electricity, only lanters..ohhh Mrs. Rice was native indian, her children were my best friend...it was a treat to go there, sit around the table with those lanters on,she'd tell scarry stories, indian folklore and our shadows loomed in great size, from floor to mid ceiling which gave us the impression they were ghosts...oh, the year I was married 1965 the in thing in decorating was having a company come in and paint a mural on the dining room wall..omg I thought I'd died and gone to heaven..have to look through my photo's to show you..
Laura, do you have any photo's of your cross stitch ?
OOOOps, Mary how did your 1st day go? looking forward to reading about it in the am
Well, I'm going to try this sleep thing...lol..
Just checked and Jeff still hasn't posted his day..I actually should give him a call..only problem is he's got batteries and battery charger that take batteries to charge..as if...so don't want to use up too much of his telephone power...he's using it for gps and communicaiton logging..
Guess I'll wait till morning to read..
Best of the day..beautiful rainbow
Worse of the day...hearing a gentleman's story, he's destitute but it had some good news, Paul will help him and on the invoice it said 'no charge' he does that from time to time...
What did I learn... you just can't have too many friends can you...
Lord willing we'll gab tomorrow or if I can't sleep I'll join the night shift...
night/night
Oh My Betty that is beautiful.
Let's see, I remember Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, 13 channels on TV (starting with channel 2) where you actually had to get up off the couch to turn the dial to change channels, the first Atari with Tank and Space Invaders, when HBO first came out on the cable box and you had to again get up off the couch and push the HBO button to turn it on, oooo VCR's, 8 track tapes, LP's, Michael Jackson's good years, I could probably sit here and go on and on.
I have a cross stitch of Tigger that I started and found I don't like that at all, if anyone wants it just shoot me a dmail.
Laura it's so good to see you posting, that is a lot of work. Yuk.
Well I'm loaded up on cold medicine and nasal decongestants and I'm still plugged up like I have a cork in my nose so I'm going to see if I can do something about it. I'll be taking my roll of toilet paper to bed with me tonight and hopefully I'll feel good enough to go to work tomorrow, if not I have the sick days.
Hello To All;
Crissy - you baby! you must be 10 years younger than me. I do remember Walter Cronkite....also Mr. Greenjeans and Captain Kangaroo....3 channels on TV....45's records...my bike with the yellow banana seat...could go on...
Debbie - THANK you for the words of encouragement...and the recipe...now I can't wait to cook it!
Tubby - Are the hibiscus you are sending Deb the water hibiscus? I 'saved' your seed collecting technique...DH had tried to save them unsuccessfully...
Trisha - the pond is awesome! It looks very similar to ours the exception being our rocks are orange...but I like yours.....
Liz - I do love canna ...they are a joke between DH & I because he doesn't care for them like I do....we have a yellow/orange canna but it has the green leaves ...not the red....
Crissy - your throat ...aren't the white bumps Mono? I had that in high school and that's what I recall they said was a symptom...
Judy - Love the Tshirt story... "Wish you were beer".......LOL!
Betty - been through so much with worrying about DS and traveling! Still traveling, correct? Yes DH was a 'looker' in the day...however being married to me...or rather..dealing with the kids....he has gone almost completely gray...which is fine by me....
My first day was VERY tough....I remember that my 'last' first day at work was at a time when there was NO EMAIL....so a LONG time ago...
I made it through and trying very hard right now not to pick away at myself with the negative self talk.....
I ride around with another salesperson tomorrow which should help me tremendously as I will be able to ask questions I would not normally ask management...and can get some feedback from a peer.....
Hugs to all,
Mary
Mary glad you made it through your first fine..
The hibiscus are for in ground..Mine are like a hedge...Probaly closer then recomended..I'll post a pic but they aren't in full bloom yet..
Crissy do you remember Its Howdy Doody Time.. LOL
Nite All
Tubby
OHHH MY....too many glasses of wine with dinner....but very nice for a change......
My sisters family.....she has been having back issues for some time and now the fall down the basement stairs....not good....
My nephew with the seizures is in his early twenties.....they were going to try and get him in to see a specialist asap. The first one they thought was due to a new med he was on, but with the second one there is something else going on..... he and his brother are also scholarship hockey/LaCrosse players.
My BIL....he has had severe headaches for as long as I can remember...ended up with bleeding ulcers at one point from taking too many aspirin..... they have had him to the Mayo Clinic and run all kinds of tests and have helped some....recently they changed his medication... problem is it is causing severe diareah..(sp)...
Mom worries herself sick about them and as we all know it is hard when there is nothing you can do to help.....
I am just loving all the plants Liz has sent, as are Laura and Sage as I share whenever I can...and our fish are sooooo happy!!! I love canna lilies....from everyone I talk to I am going to have to try and figure out how to get them through our winter...Sage may end up sleeping in a jungle on her weekly overnight here as the room may be full of plants over the winter!!
Crissy, hope you get over the cold soon.....
Mary, hang in there, I am sure you are doing a great job!!
Tubby, you have to remember that crissy is one of the babies of our group...there was Gogo Gopher and Sam the Basset Hound, my sis and I got to be on their show once upon a time....I think that was a TX/OK show....
Getting a bit goofy here...think I will call it a night.....
This my Meow enjoying a spot of sunshine......have a good night everyone.

11 PEOPLE ON A ROPE
Eleven people were hanging on a rope
Under a helicopter.
10 men and 1 woman.
The rope was not strong enough to carry them all
So they decided that one had to leave,
Because otherwise they were all going to fall.
They weren't able to choose that person,
Until the woman gave a very touching speech.
She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope,
Because, as a woman,
She was used to giving up everything
For her husband and kids or for men in general,
And was used to always making sacrifices
With little in return.
As soon as she finished her speech,
All the men started clapping . . . . ..
Good morning all!
Wow, got struck with major headache yeasterday! Actually it was my eyes...but today I think it is much better.
Lots to do today as Dh going to the dump, so...yayay yard waste must get shoveled up, yikes and no Jake to help me out!
He's at footbabll camp and then this afternoon, he is going to play 7 on 7, whatever that is, He said something about they got him as Center Line back? lol...so must make the best and get as much cleaned as I can.
Laura, nice to see you popped in. The gift you are creating sounds beautiful. I hope the crosstich comes out to be how you envision.
Trisha, so sorry to hear about your DS family, Hope they get a good bill of health.
Betty, nice of Cathy to leave you dinner! I hope you enjoy it for lunch or dinner today. Look at all your pretty blooms...ohhh lovely lilies and nice birdhouse. Good thing you have such a big yard, lol will always be able to find a home for it...
hope you have heard from Jeff. even if he just left a message at least you can rest knowing he on the way to next stop...
Soo, do you get a short rest till the next mini trip??
Oh...Yes Betty, I do enjoy a bike ride, of course no traffric would be the best, lol...Nothing like being on an open road, especially a windy kind. All this riding is making Steve be itchy to get out on the water too, so I think w'ell be heading out this weekend...got to get things in order in case We go up with Liz and kenny!
Also Betty, I do cook, not many things but I am getting better at it, and I actually am starting to enjoy the creativity in it.
Speaking of, Liz..woohoo 12 day to go, um no I don't have a double cooker thing you asked about, hmmm will ask a friend if they have one I might borrow! That pie sounds marvelous for sure...LOL, ok so pool story saga continues! Last night, I noticed that all the water I put into it was gone...So was crying around to Steve about it probably has a major leak at the bottom, sigh. We walked over to take a look, I said or maybe it evaporated, that was alot to evaporate...He said no, most likely the critters drank it all!! hahaha, never thought of it but could very well be...no reall water anywhere around!
Thank you all about Skittles, she just is so adorable we all just love playing with her. Funny Steve's helping her previous owners on their garage...LOL was telling them all about her, basically same thing I have told you. And they are thrilled to pieces that she is doing so well.
So, I finally figured out, she is not trying to be mean and bite...her biting means she wants to be played with or groomed! Yesterday...Sprinkled a few drops of water on her and she got excited and started the nipping thing, so sprinked more and showed her where her pool is and ohwah! she took a dive, oh my gosh so much fun to watch, had me giggling away in delight.
Crissy, I hope you are feeling better today.
Tubby you too, are you sleeping a bit better?
Well, i better get moving...
Waiving to all, see you on a break.
Oh forgot to say...
Betty, i am so glad you got to see the rainbow!!
It's awsom.
hAPPY bIRTHDAY TO kENNY!!
Finally after my last post I was able to fall asleep, woke up, got myself ready, layed on the couch with timer on just to make sure I didn't sleep till noon...Suzanne and paul are in the city today, LeeAnn is off ill so there is just myself and Cindy..she's in another office so it will be quiet/quiet..hoping some of you are around to help me pass my day..lol
Had an e-mail from my girlfriend Ann today, her daughter is being operated, lump in her throat so she's quite worried, but then good news for DH Mike, 80% of the growth has been affected by radiation..cancer dying..wooohhoooo.. now they wait for the team of doctors who will operate..so she thanks all for the prayers..
Judy, Jeff had posted a few words yesterday and included a photo...
WOW
Can't describe how amazingly gorgeous today is. Briliant sun, clear skies, no wind and water like glass. Best conditions so far and I'm totally taking my time today and enjoying.
Yes, Liz, tell Kenny "Happy birthday"
Liz, you could rent a vehicle and go see Nashville and Memphis...wouldn't that be a birthday present for Kenny, getting to have breakfast with DS..how long since he has seen him?
Judy, has Steve taken a few more days off? Is the pain gone?
Know you don't like freeways but are you picking up Liz and Kenny at the airport or will Steve take the day off?
Crissy, did you make it to work today???
sooo many questions...lol
Trisha oh my, doesn't Kitty look as comfortable as can be....
After your few glasses of wine, did you have a good night's rest..now where does your sister live? would your mom feel better going for a visit and seeing how they are doing rather than working herself into a tizzy...
I'll have to tell Jeff Trisha about you double kayak..knew nothing about them, didn't realize they had rudders, imagine, thought it was all in the paddling..can't imagine Jeff having blisters..this office man who hires people to do any manual work he needs done...he'll have working hands now..lol and most likely tanned...
Trisha...Jeff poted day 6...

Day 6 - Perfection
Big milestone, I reached the halfway mark of my trip when I rolled into buckhorn. No matter what happens from here on in I know I've already paddled the distance.
Was another 30+km day which took hours longer than it should have, for no other reason than I didn't care. It was such a beautiful day that I just relaxed, worked on my tan and socialized a bit.
Woke up around 6, took my time and packed up my gear slowly as I cooked breakfast, sat on a rock overlooking the lake with my coffee, eggs and bacon and just enjoyed, mist was covering the water and was cool way to spend the morning while I waited for the hillier family to wake up. Was all packed and ready to go by about 9:30 and andrew and familly saw me off, thanks again guys. Was through the lock and mobile by 10.
Paddling down the canal to the lake was a breeze and when I came out into the lake the wind was blowing into me and was thinking uh oh, going to be an into the wind paddle day. As with every other day, someone wants me to make this trip and the wind stopped and water like glass. For the rest of the day.
Headed down pigeon lake and took me a little over 3 hours to cross, i should have been half that but was just taking it easy as I was in no rush, too nice out to be in any hurry.
Circled the point towards buckhorn and stopped at the little bridge footing for a quick snack and to stretch my legs. Should have paid more attention as I was leaving, channel was on the left with an island on the right and could see land in the distance, thought I would take a shortcut. As I'm paddling down the lake I look left and see a shore marker in the distance. Opps going wrong way, only 2k the wrong way at this point and shrug shoulders and turn the coffin around.
As I go through this little channel, I pull the legs out of the kayak to rest and I have bob marley on the ipod, relax for about half hour that way, taking in the sun, literally start to fall asleep when a boat drives by and honks, I had drifted into the trees on the shoreline. Get back to "paddling".
I have headphones on and don't hear the boat pull along side me and it startles me. Two couples from peterborough ask me where I'm from and going etc and we chat for about half an hour. One of the guys, gary, kayaks as well and takes my phone number and says he might paddle with me for a day when I get to peterborough. The others offered me 150 bucks to tip or lose him on he way. Oh, they were nice enough to offer me a cold beer, I accept reluctantly, hit the spot. We part ways.
I stop at a little island marked indian land, good enough for the indians, good enough for me I say. I am in a kayak after all, close enough to a canoe. Opps, not trying to stereotype. Rest for a bit and stretch then on my way.
As I pull into the channel into buckhorn I see a little fishing boat with an older retired couple paddling. I grew up on the water and it was an unwritten law, if you see someone paddling a motorboat you stop and lend assistance, dozens of boats are passing by and waving to couple working those paddles in excrutiating heat. I pull alongside and we tie them up to the back of the kayak, three paddlers better than two. It was a sight to see, hardest I worked all day. wasn't that far but they were appreciative, they offer money and I rightly refuse and wish them a great day. I'm half hour to buckhorn.
I get sun block in my eyes and they start to burn, have to stop at the marina and wait it out, won't do that again.
I arrive in buckhorn at 5:30, pull up onto the beach at a place called oak bay resort which is owned by a friends brother and his wife, chris and charlene. They spend the summer here running the resort then go back to vancouver for the winter. Charlene meets me at the beach and shows me where to park the coffin and brings me a cold beer, pattern?
Julie and family show up a half hour later, haven't seen them in over two years, tristan who is my sons age, 13, is now taller than me. Julie hands me a ceasar, ok.
I ask where to pitch the tent and told I get to sleep in a real bed tonight, they have a few racoonns and bears wandering around, I don't think twice. Sorry jade for kicking you out of your bed, I owe ya little one. I grab just what I need from the kayak and didn't even have to take it out of water or unpack today.
They also have a real shower with real hot water, felt amazing, especially since I haven't had one for 6 days, locks have washrooms but no showers.
We have dinner, veggie burgers and salad mixed with mango and rum then go down to her brothers place and hang out. Her mother is there and she tells the best animated stories, I was in stitches, adorable.
Then campfire with smores and more fluids and finished off the night with a good game of poker. I lost.
Slept like a baby and guess I'm conditioned to wake up at 6 now, stayed in bed till around 7 then came down to the water and sit on a rock looking out into lake.
Julie who is a triathlete/marathon runner, ironman, worlds, boston marathon type stuff came down as she was off for her morning 50k run or something crazy and asked if I wanted to join, "are you smoking crack now" is what I wanted to say, what I said was, go enjoy, I'm just going to relax.
Sun is shinning again and going to be another gorgeous day, it's following me I tell ya, haven't had a bad day yet, cross fingers.
Going to take the day off today, relax and enjoy a summer day, I've earned it and can't think of a better place to let the muscles heal a bit. Might even go for a waterski, wish my ski would have fit in kayak.
Only downside is we are going boating later and might not want to get back in my kayak tomorrow.
Good morning everyone! I'm feeling a little better today. The spots on the throat can mean a lot of things. When I catch colds I have some sort of reaction that causes my mouth to break out in canker sores, sometimes my throat breaks out instead, especially if the cold is in my throat. The spots are cankers and can mean strep, mono, and a number of other things. With me it means that my throat is broke out. The cold moved out of my throat yesterday afternoon and into my head (lol). I am so stuffed up it's unreal but at least my throat doesn't hurt, that helps a lot. I'm at work cause I have a ton of stuff to do and it's supposed to rain today, plus who's going to stay til 5pm? Of course today they try to send me home because I'm coughing. I have a chronic cough from California's wonderful air I breathed for 33 years in a row, plus I'm slightly asthmatic.
Let's play 'Guess Crissy's Age!' LOL!! We could all have fun with this. Here are some more clues and ya'll can take a guess as to what year I was born:
I don't remember Mr. Greenjeans, never heard of that one. I watched Captain Kangaroo when I was very very small and Gilligan's Island reruns. Shoot, Captain Kangaroo might have been reruns for all I know. Completely missed Mr. Ed. Missed Walter Cronkite. Missed Disco. Let's see, my bike had a green and white banana seat and a basket on the front, of course I was 8 years old before I could ride a bike because of some problems I had as a child and had surgery when I was 7 to get them fixed. There was no Ultra Sound so they had to do exploratory surgery. I don't remember 45 records made but my mom had a slew of them, I had a bunch of children's 33 LP's and a few 8 track tapes, then cassette's came out.
Hmmmm glad you are feeling somewhat better Crissy but perhaps you should take them up on their offer and leave early...rest is what you need now...
Hmmmm how about 36...does that sound right?
OMG finally found a bag in the office closet with craft materials so working on a memory book, not sure if my mom would like one, but what to heck, I'll make it for her birthday and include photo's of her mom/dad/sibblings and us..how could you not like it...
Smiling away, wow, halfway mark already! So very glad he is enjoying the summer day. Love that he just took time time to watch the beauty of nature. What great friends along the way too...The photo is awsom.
Betty, what are you doing to keep yourself occupied today? Did you bring something in? lol, more questions.
No, Steve did not take any more time off. no pain other than minor irritation, mostly after eating. It's amazing how quickly he heals, a good thing...lol.
Whew, Liz and Kenny arrive on Sunday sooo, means Steve will pick them up, but I may have to drive the return trip again. Yikes.
I would say Crissy is about 37 or so.
Mr. Greenjeans was on Capt. Kangaroo...along with Dancing bear and magic drawing board.
I was on Bozo the Clown show when I was little....and also the Barney and Hector show...which they scared me so bad I cried and had to be taken off.
I had the "Farrah" hairdo in highschool. Loved disco LOL I hated the Brady Bunch except for a few episodes....I loved the Partridge family.
LOL...Crissy, you are so cute...hmmm, I am thinking around 1975 or 76 which makes you about 35 or 36
which makes you the "baby" of the group, I think.
I am taking a stab their cuz I do remember 8tracks coming out just can't remember the year.
OMG, this is too funny, because this is the kind of conversation we had at the grad party!! Than and all meds people are on right now.
Tell me, have you ever heard of Bozo? How about BJ and the dirty Dragon?
LOL Debbie, you and I crossed...
I went to the Bozo show once when I was about 6, man it was when he had some back thing...But I so loved Cookie, he was my favorite.
Remember the funny company??
I know who Bozo the Clown was lol, I missed the show though. Never heard of BJ & the Dirty Dragon.
Betty I'm so glad he posted and is having a good trip. Oh how I bet that bed and hot shower felt good.
Nope, never heard of BJ & the dirty dragon.
I do remember Mr. Dress-up and The Magic Door, The Magic School bus, from when my KIDS were little.
I remember being in "daycare" and watching Mr. Rogers and Sesame street...back when the muppets looked somewhat scary! LOL
Love watching Wild Kingdom on Sunday nights also...think that is why I love animals so much.
OMG you are all making me feel soooo old...I must be the mommy or grannie of this group..lol
I know I came home right after school to watch Howdy Doodie time then I could go out and play but not before....do you all hear me singing the 'howdy doodie song'
Judy, yep, if you look at the photo above, well that's my desk, playing cut-outs and doing another memory album
Betty you're the same age as my mom, not old at all so quit that. Your mom will like that, by the way, how old is your mom, if you don't mind me asking? My mom's mom would have been 94 and her father would have been 89. My dad's mom would have been 98 and I have no idea when dad's dad was born, my dad just turned 63 last month.
I watched Scooby Do, Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny reruns, and cartoons along the Bugs Bunny line.
Crissy, mom will be 78 in October, her mom died I believe when she was 32 or 33..very young
oops for got to add, it's not that she won't like it but she has 3 places and she'd trying to get rid of much...in fact my SIL Kim is spending a few days with her purging..
I had made mom a beautiful cupboard, painted insert..saw it against the rec room wall, few marking on it, covered in dust..asked about it, said she just had no room for it, take it home...then she was moving 2 antique oil lamps and said they must go, in my trunk they went as well...
She has a dresser from her mom and has to rid herself of it, tempted to go pick it up, redo, but then I'd be in same place, what to heck would I do with it...
OMG saw all the porcelain dolls...I so hope from now to when she passes on she'll have affection with someone who might want them..not me lordy, not me...near her fireplace was the latest..a 1st Communion doll, size of a 6 year old..beautiful to say the least, but...well just but...
Does anyone remember Froggy Gremlin? Crissy, I know you wont.
I also used to love The Friendly Giant and the music from his show. LOL Loved the Little Rascals also and I wanted to be Shirley Temple when I grew up. I am pretty sure her movies were all reruns when I was little...but still loved them, and that is why I took tap & ballet...so I could be Shirley! LOL
I would have to watch The Flintstones when I came home from school. It came on after "As the world turns" which my Mom had to watch and I couldn't touch the TV until that was over. Leave it to Beaver was another show. I still want David Cassidy back....and I found out he has a new show starting tonight where he plays the "DAD" of a singer. Ruby and the Rockets or something. My kids can hardly wait. ROFL
Betty, I was afraid of Howdy Doody...don't know why. He was scary to me. Yet, I love ventriloquist...especially Jeff Dunham.
Jeff Dunham's awesome.
Alright, I read the posts above once again and got it this time, you're all right on the money! I was born Nov 3, 1972 and am 36 years old.
So....am I the baby???? LOL
You have me beat by....13 years. I just turned 49 last week. You is the baby, now come here and let me pinch your cheeks! ROFL
Can I please ask for a few prayers.
I just got an IM from my sister in law. They had my neice Jenn at the hospital for a endoscopy scan....been having some problems. Well, she came out of the test and was in recovery. Started having pain in her right side....and she is having a CT scan right now to check for appendicitus.
I suppose if you have to have an appnd. attack....doing it at the hospital is the best place. She is 15.
Prayers going up for Jenn. BEV
Bev, thank you.
We are more worried because Jenn has been having asthma type issues....and the scan was to check out the esophogus/lungs and into stomach...so two times anesthesia in one day is a bit worrisome.
LOL Debbie now I know that I'll have to run when I see you in Memphis. hahahahaha
Oh yes, I had appendicitis on July 27th a year ago, was on a Sunday. Well actually I started having symptoms the Thursday before and didn't go to ER until Sunday morning. My appendix was perforated so yes, being in the hospital would be ideal, they will be able to get her into surgery immediately instead of waiting 4 days like I did. Shouldn't have done that. Praying for her, it is a painful surgery. What's the endoscopy for?
Oh my goodness...Prayers for your neice, kind of weird to say but I am glad she was in the hospital having symptoms!
and if it an appendix then wow, immediate care.
