Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Yeah I know dj they sure went fast hey Marcia make some more would ya? Please!

St. Thomas, ON(Zone 5b)

Thank you Marcia for the receipe's and thank you Mystic for retrieving them for us. I'm not much of a baker but I think I can handle these two. My DH says when I cook or bake,( he cleans up for me sometimes) he say's I have to look everywhere to make sure I've gotten it all. Dose anyone else spread themselves all over the kitchen like I do?

St. Thomas, ON(Zone 5b)

Hi Doris and Mystic I went to watch Frasier and came back to an empty plate!!!!!!!!!!!!Do we get to have the receipe for your orange dreamcicle cake Doris???????

Greenville, SC(Zone 7a)

Isis, It struck me funny that Isis is an egyption goddess because " Iris " In " greek Mythology" means " Goddess Of The Rainbow" ~ Iris and Isis ~ booth Goddesse's in one way or another ha ha ha ha!! Flowerpot, Maybe thats why I like such brightness on my head ~ Rainbows are colorfull! LOL! Thankyou Isis, I'm so glad you like my hat ! ( too myself, Unlike some other people "one comes to mind in particular! ) So, Flowerpot, What recipie were you referring too, I got lost somewhere in all the conversations and not sure what you meant. Well, Let me know a little later, I'm going totake a run home right now and get my guitar and brng it back, Maybe we can all have a sing along ~ I can play " Yellow Rose Of Texas", Or pretty much anything else anyone would like to hear ~ Well, I'm off, I'll be back with my guitar in a few ....

St. Thomas, ON(Zone 5b)

Sorry Iris, I was going to get you to put Marcia's cookie receipes, on this page for us, she said she would e-mail them, if someone would put them on. I thought you might have been, floating around here sometime. Mystic new how to do it, so she put them on for her, thanks anyway's. I want to hear some Patsy Cline stuff..........please

Wilmington, DE(Zone 7a)

ooh! ooh! look LOOK at what i got - POWER PUFF GIRL STICKERS!!! i have a zillion, so just take whichever ones you need - they fit perfectly around the cork.

iRis - i knew we were kindred spirits! do you know any gershwin tunes on that guitar? my son is doing one of his plays this year and all the songs are lodged in my head!

...embrace me, you sweet em-BRACE-able you.....

Mount Prospect, IL(Zone 5a)

I think it was Tootsie who brought the Dreamsicle cake? The stickers do make the corks a bit fancier! Got some fresh lemonade here. Are we out of clean glasses? OK we can use plastic cups for this and save the china cups for the hot tea.

St. Thomas, ON(Zone 5b)

Yup your right Doris, it was Tootsie. Where is she anyway I haven't seen her for a while? I feel kind of chilly today Doris I think I'll have a nice hot cup of tea. That look's like more fun having sticker's on our corks isis. Just one question what are, or who are, Power Puff Girls?????

Wilmington, DE(Zone 7a)

ohhhh, power puff girls are a phenomenal newish cartoon on cartoon network (cable). if i'm not mistaken, they are in the japanamation style (i SHOULD know this - my son would be very hurt if he knew i was unsure!!) powerpuff girls are elementary/preschool aged girls, three of 'em, who have fabulous superpowers. they save the world repeatedly, sometimes despite their teacher's warning to stay at their desks. they primarily fight MoJoJoJo, a monkey-like creature.

definitely the mascots of THIS tea party!

Mount Prospect, IL(Zone 5a)

We need her caramel turtle brownies also. Maybe she's taking a snooze out under the arbor?

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Wow your hats look great gang!

haow is the blue jeans and check shirts coming???

Laura

St. Thomas, ON(Zone 5b)

We have a good age mix here, some of you raising "Babies" and some of us are having "Grand Babies" I'm having the Grand Babies so these shows are new to me. You know what I saw on the tv, the other day though was, Buffy and Jody with Mr. French I haven't seen that since my kids were little!!!! I think, when we go to Laura's, for her bar-b-que we should to move to a new thread, how far dose this thing scroll down anyway?????????? What do you think Laura??? My friend Iris and I thought it wouldn't be so much to scan, if we moved to another thread. Could be titled Tea Party continued in Australia!!!!!!!How's that sound?????That way people who've been away, will be able to find us. How about everybody else do you agree to move?????

Auburn, NY(Zone 5b)

I agree Flo..P LOL It's taking longer and longer to get to the bottom of this thread. This is the longest thread I have personally been on. Have there been longer ones?
I have my checkered shirt and my jeans. I still need to put a few more corks on my hat. (of course I have to open a few more bottles of wine to finish this off) the things we have to do to get those corks!!! I hope I can still see to finish!

Wilmington, DE(Zone 7a)

i'm with y'all (isn't that proper bbq slang?)(oh! if we move to australia, will we have to start each post with g'day?)..

Crossville, TN

DRAT! I missed the whole tea party. Wonder if there is one more cuppa in that pot? This party reminds me of the Red Hat Society...based on my favorite poem by Jenny Joseph...."When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple, with a red hat that doesn't go, and doesn't suit me"....she goes on to say what all she will do when she gets old, and ends by saying that so as not to shock her friends too badly, "maybe I should practice a little now? So people who know me are not shocked and surprised, when suddenly I am old and start to wear purple". I made it my credo many years ago. When I was emabrrasing my teen age daughter (which was often), she would tell her friends "don't pay any attention to Mom, she's just wearing her purple" Pass me a brownie, please. Jo

St. Thomas, ON(Zone 5b)

Roadrunner, welcome we've just come over to Marcia's, to raid her cookie jar and we most certainly do have an extra cup of tea for you. Well girls what do you think's taking Laura sooooooo long in getting that bar-b-que ready. I'm getting excited about going to "Australia". Roadrunner we've been invited to go to Laura's in Australia for a real Aussie bar-b-que would you like to come with us when she has it ready? She's given us some Aussie, slang words to learn. There up stairs, at my house I'll get them for you to practice. You'll have to sew some corks onto your hat as well.

Flowerpot, what a delightful idea. Always wanted to go to Australia. My son has been there, and my granddaughter...when her ship made Hobart their Port-of-call this past spring. I'll borrow the gen-u-ine "Aussie" hat she brought to my 6 year old Grandson. Oh, and I'll bring the GORGEOUS big, white, fluffy sheeps skin she gifted me with....will be nice to sit on.Throw another shrip on the baby, mate....no, better make that two shrimp, 'cause I LOVE them. Jo

south central, WI(Zone 5a)

Sure, Why not? theres still plenty of goodies outside. We should try and finish them up before we have to leave for Australia! Theres some more hot tea ready. Who will be mother? (and pour).

Crossville, TN

Marcia, Honey...you know we will have to have a PURPLE dress...with a red hat don't you? I have a friend in the Va. Beach, Va chapter. I met her when I had her son in my 4-h club, then later in our Square Dance club. For those who don't know, these ladies dress up in these ridicilous outfits, complete with gloves, and meet for lunch in a very nice restaurant. I would love to do this, but no chapter here.I sure hope I don't miss the trip to Austrailia, and I hope I don't have to go by boat...I get some kind of seasick!...KYKRIE! The 6 year old KIPPER spent the night and his MUM just called and wants him to hit the FROG AND ROAD!! Getting there! Jo
