Tea Party

Everyone is so sad because of the Terrorist's and personal things as well so lets escape reallty for a while, we need to have some fun. So let's go back to our childhood and have a pretend Tea Party. I'll bring some pretty tea cups, has anyone got a BIG TEA POT, some cookies, Louisa your from Britian help me, with our tea party. Sounds silly but it could be FUN.

i'm coming to the tea party can i bring my teddybear he likes tea too.

Must have a tablecloth and cloth napkins. How about some cream cheese brownies and some swedish spritz cookies? I'll bring along some Earl Grey tea. I do have some Irish morning tea but that probably is'nt proper for afternoon. Shall we wear hats? White gloves? Doris
PS, I'm barely over the 4 day party down in Florida!

Please make room for my scones and hurry up and make up your mind what tea you want - I haven't got all day you know!!..lol!! Did anyone remember to bring the sugar - must have sugar...one lump or two ma deah!!

I would like some strawberry presrves and some devine cream with my scones please. All teddy bears are welcome. What colour table cloth are you bringing djm906 and I love pretty napkins.

peeking in... how about a large crystal bowl of rose water, with flower petals and floating candles? May I join?

Oh I have all kinds of mints to bring to add to our teas if you want them.And I can bring some sugar and honey. I have my Sunday best on if I am allowed to join?Please Please I have to have some of Louisa's scones.

I'll bring along a Strawberry shortcake, some brownies (with and without nuts, I know kids sometimes aren't to thrilled with nuts). I'll be wearing a huge hat, with flowers and some little teddy bears placed ever so delicately on . My gloves will be up to my elbows. And my dress will be extra frilly, with flowers of every shape and size on it. I have plenty of bears to!! I'll give one to those who son't have an imaginary friend or two!
I'll also bring along a pitcher or two of Iced tea, because I know everyone doesn't like hot tea. Hmmmm what else, Oh I cannot forget to dress the kitten (live one) up in a matching outfit like mine. DO you allow kittens to sit at the table? A saucer of milk will do her just fine.
What fun we shall all have. Are the boys allowed too? or do they have cooties? And if they do come, must they be in suits and bow ties? And how about a top hat? LOL

Heck I almost forgot the trifle with whipped cream.

Oh! I'll bring the sugar too. I like mine sweet. Probably three or four lumps. I haven't ventured out into the different flavors of tea, so I'll leave that up to the rest of you :)

Everyone is welcome the boys will have to go to their own room in case we want to dicuss "girl things". Holly your out fit looks lovely and thank you for bringing some extra bears, for those who may not have one.Oh I'm so glad everyone could come. sbarr could you bring a bouquet of mum's from your garden so we could set it on the end table to add some more colour to our room?

but of course... and I can sneak over to the park and get a few cleomes....and after it gets dark, we'll continue the party, lighting sparklers, putting them around the flowers and pretending they are fireworks!

An English trifle without the alcohol!!! Why did you ask that question? Really!!! Stands to reason, it's laced with sherry!!

I have a purple teddy.. his name is lewis.. we are really good at making daisy chains and will make one for everyone. I have a straw hat that has wild flowers all around. I think those magic sherbet cakes that they used to make in "The Magic Far Away Tree" would be ideal.... and some butterfly cakes and fresh strawberries and cream.... my best sunday dress and shoes , though i think i shall kick them off and enjoy the feel of the grass on my feet...

Just brought along another table in case you need. That one is getting loaded up with goodies. I brought another white tablecloth and some floral napkins. You have extra chairs? Also brought some chocolate eclairs. (Gave one to customs after he admired them!) Doris

flowerpot, can I come too? I only have my stick horse, Snockers, but I'll tie him up outside. I can bring a bouquet of yellow roses, and some Pecan Pralines.
You have to excuse the way I'm dressed, I have on my jeans, and favorited checkered shirt, and of course my red bandana.....sure would love some of louisa's trifle with some iced tea with lemon & mint....2 lumps, please.

I hope I didnt miss out - I have some rose petal jam I just made over the weekend (made from my Yves Piaget rose), and I can bring my Turkish tea pot, and small crystal tea glasses, I dont have any salty cookies to share, but I have a hankering for some of Louisas scones and triffle......don't they sound heavenly

I've got the strawberry jam..also blackberry...the bushes out back really produced this year. Watercress sandwiches too...found some cress growing by the creek. My goodness...everything looks wonderful!!!

Thank you Doris yes we do need another table and tablecloth, these napkins are so pretty. You know chocolate is one of my many weaknesses. Eyes you can come just the way you are because horses are my favourite animal. Louisa I hope you've got more trifle and scones there seems to be a big demand for them. I'm so glad pebble that you brought your tea pot, there's so many of us I think we're going to need a couple more. Dose anyone else have one to spare? My friend Iris is coming after she comes back from the dentist, perhaps she'll bring an extra teapot.

You know I was just checking over the tables and I didn't thank everyone for half the lovely sweets you brought. Doris I think your right we do need some more chairs. Eyes the yellow roses are beautiful. We used to have a yellow rose bush when we were kids and my sister and I would sometimes be watching through the screened window, seeing people admiring my Mother's yellow roses and we would sing Oh the yellow rose of Texas well it is an old sung and I haven't sang it for a long time so the words have escaped me. Maybe you remember them and would humm us a few bars! I said my friend went to the dentist and she went to the eye doctor hope she comes by soon.

I have a tea pot I can bring! Its in the shape of a tabby cat.... I also have some lace doilies that my grandma crotched . I will go into the field now and start collecting the daisies....

If anyone has a cup of Earl Gray left, I'd like it! I can bring some popovers (all hot and buttered)mmm and some home made grape jam. Be careful not to get any on the teddys(they get real sticky) and my Dolly wanted to know if she could come to.

Hi! Laura sure a tabby teapot, will look cute among all our tea party decorations. Sand are they home made popovers, they sound so goooooood. Bring your Dolly she'll have fun with the teddy bears. I think there should be some Earl Grey left, I'll check.

I'M here I'm here !!! Hello everyone!! Sorry I'm so late, I just can't seem to make it anywhere on time !! I'm probably going to be late for my own funeral !! Wow, Everything looks great!! Look at all that beautifull china and crystal !!! The table is set beautifully, And OH MY, Those gorgeous flowers!!! And all those deliscious looking goodies!! Yummy , Yummy, Yummy !!! What a super tea party! This is great!!! And such beautifull weather for it !!! What cute little teddybears some people have !!! My MY MY, Brings back a lot of memories!! I'll be happy to run back and get an extra teapot if we end up needing another one

I'm glad I made it too!! Thankyou for the compliment on my hat, I figured Id wear my best one, I guess it kinda stands out huh? ~ ( Not too much I hope ! Oh Geeze, I'm sorry flowerpot, I forgot to tell you, My day was ok, Flew by too fast tho, I was so worried about going to the eye-doctor that I couldn't sleep all night, So , of course this afternoon , I was too tired to get anything acomplished !! But, other then not getting anything done, It was a pretty nice day, And how was yours?

oh, i'am late, oh no!!!!i just found all of you!!!! are there any left overs????? i just hurried up and made some punch in my very pretty punch bown( carnival glass), and i brought the cups! i also put a few scoops of orange sherbit in it, yum, is anyone left?????? flowerpot are you there?????anyone????

Hi tootsie the punch sounds good I've drank so much tea. Oh my there's lots of treat's here Laura just brought some fresh popovers, if you'd like to try some, and how was your day? I went to mark, some trees today to be cut down they are so close to the nice ones they're chocking them out. It was so windy I thought we'd get blown away. What was the weather like where you are? Iris did you get your rain today. Iris your hat's so big it's a good thing you weren't with me today ha ha

You're a great hostess flowerpot! Everyone looks so nice and the food is the best. I hope we're not keeping you from your nap. I know I sure could use one right about now:) It is so windy here today and we did get a fair amount of rain, too. But I doubt that will keep me awake.
My tummy is nice and full and the company is peaceful, so don't mind me if I snooze for a little bit. zzzz

hi flowerpot, yes sir ee i would love to taste those wonderful popovers that laura made. yummmmmmm what a day today, ugh, it rained all day, rained and grey! but my dh got to come home early(he is in road const.), yep, those guys that you honk your horns at and shake your heads cause they hog up the road, and put those stupid detour signs that don't make any sence at all!:() oh, i almost forgot where i was??? while iam eating tose yummy popovers would everyone here please write down their recipes?, wouldn't that be nice we could trade! :). look out dave it's recipe time ya hoo

from getting in my eyes! ~ ok ok , So maby there is a little over abundence of flowers around it, But Hey, The're kinda pretty aren't they??!! LOL! Well, I had a bit too much sleepy time tea, I think I'll go on the hammock and take a little nap. zzzzzzzzzzzz
