Look at those turtles Cindy!! They will sure outlive us all.
I like the markings of the younger one. Pig you say? Lolol.. survival of the fittest, that turtle is saying!
Yah, dial up here too. Frustrations all the time trying to download anything.
But, on the other hand, it's an exercise on patience which I badly need!!
Think Juanita's on dial up too.

I'm surprised, with dial-up, that you're not creating a new thread, linked to this one...surely you're getting slow response opening this thread!
Love the Turtles!!!!
Cindy that first picture looks like a Sulcatta Tortoise. I used to have a Desert Tortoise, he only weighed about 20 pounds and about 20 years old. They do eat A Lot. The Desert Tortoises hibernate so they have to store all of that food so they don't starve to death over the winter. The deserts also get their liquid from their food, plus they love baths and being scrubbed with a toothbrush. I think the Sulcatta's hibernate too. Sulcatta's very fast and move faster than you would think a tortoise can move.
The smaller one looks like a Leopard Tortoise.
I'm on Hughesnet Satellite Internet and I have problems opening the threads sometimes. I have problems posting pictures, that's why I try to do it at work.
Jaye, it could be awhile. It’s 10x9”, even with a simple pattern and most of it being on the edges, it’s still a lot of stitches.
I really like “chopped” as well.
Crissy, thank you. Interesting info on those turtles.
Only thing I know of them are the egg yolks of the sea turtles are tasty and their meat's great in soups.
Hi Trisha.. how is your day today? Collected all the rocks you need for your bed? How are your mum and sister?
When Juanita can't tolerate waiting, then I'll start a new room :D Me lazy sometimes..
Kel took Murdock this afternoon for his 3rd. chemo treatment. In the future, prior to his treatment, Kel will have to bring him the day before for shots to keep Murdock's blood count high.
Kel's amazing.. he'll do anything to help his dad. Sigh.. I am lucky aren't I?
Cody, hope you have had a great day today.
Laura, are the cross counts per inch tolerable? Hope they won't aggravate your eyesight.
There's another cooking competition show I think you'd like. It's Top Chef Masters on Bravo.
Hi all,i took alex to the Alligator Park today. That was the reason why i was not on.I will post pictures when he goes to bed.
Jaye we are at a stopping point with the rocks.....we would like to collect a few larger ones, but it is okay without them.....
Mom is doing okay other than the stress from worrying about everyone.....we haven't heard anything from my sis....I am hoping she will call tonight so mom won't worry so much.
Got a little done on the patio, sorted a bunch of empty pots, got the watering done, we washed mom's car and actually got a little "inside" work done today.....but will leave most of that for later this week when it is supposed to get quite hot.
Still no word on my car, but I didn't expect Terry to get to it today anyhow...:( Guess it doesn't matter since I can't pick it up before Friday (payday).
Got everything ready, just waiting on Sage to get here (visitation night with her mother) then I am fixing Fried Rice for supper!! I'm hungry....just dawned on me I never got around to eating lunch today...
Glad to here Murdock is able to get back to his chemo.....keeping him in our prayers.
Hope everyone has a good evening....will check back later.
HugesNet is expensive!!!(might be cheaper in your area) I have been checking out all the sattllite companies. Directv wants $199 istanlation plus $49.95 a month, Wildblue free instalation but $99 activation and $49.95 a month. Now get this. Wildblue and Directv are partners. I called Directv gal told me $199 instalation (I can't spell tonight, LOL) then I go on line found Wildblue and they have the special no instaltion but $99 activation, so why didn't Directv give me that? Go figure??? I have been with Directv for years!!!!! There is also WaveBroadband cable, but you have to have either tv or phone to get internet, they don't do just internet .So I'm thinking I will go with Wildblue. But first I need to get a monitor. 1 week after my warnatee expired my monitor went KAPUT!!!!!!
Another turtle
Cindy - those turtles are real handsome fellas - do they bite (thinking about snapping turtles, but I think those are the little ones......)?
Cindy, here it's provided by Hughes too, and it's $700 to start with and $60 a month thereafter!!! Crazy.. but living in the countryside, we get hammered by high fees.. no competition!
Fried rice.. yumm.. especially with extra eggs! Sage, eat extra for me!!
Trisha, you don't need any more car problems. Sister.. SOMEONE in your family needs to win the lottery!
Alex must be obsessing over the day, Cody! Kids should have happy memories. Looking forward to the pics. Now.. alligator tail.. tastes like chicken!
Hehehe.. incorrigible foodie here!
Since we didn't hear from LK, I hope she's sleeping off the pain.
Good night Susan, Trisha, Cody, Cindy... and whoever's lurking.
See you all tomorrow.
Lurking? MOI?????
hehehehehehe
niters all!
Jaye, this one is pretty big 14 per inch. My eyesight is great so I’m rarely bothered by sight issues; though I do need good light to do cross stitch. I have a linen piece that I’d like to try cross stitching, but the stitch count is so high on that one that I haven’t had the nerve.
I’ve seen the ads for Top Chef Masters and have been meaning to check it out, but haven’t got around to it yet. Maybe that’s what I’ll do during dinner; they have a couple on fancast.net
I am more than with you on the lottery! We don’t even need a big one $50,000+ would be fine.
Marion that sunset is awesome, love your self portrait too. LOL
Marion Beautiful, beautiful sunset!!
Cody it looks like you guys had a great time!!!
There you go Cindy....your turtles need their own town !!
