Today's weather in your garden - 50

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Yes, we did escape, I heard it touched down twice both a little northwest of us. No one was hurt from reports that I've heard. Lots of heavy rain. I'm going back to my sisters today, so glad that storm is over.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Many trees down too.

Falmouth, ME(Zone 5b)

Rain and fog.... broken record here! lol

South Hamilton, MA

gloomy

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

72, sunny and a little breezy. Hope to play catch up with the weeds again. The rain from the last 2 days should help with that.

Thomaston, CT

Sorry to hear about the scary weather, Jo Ann & Debi---hope Willie is OK---it was sunny most of today with very oppressive humidity----worked in one garden all afternoon, but now the sky is ominous, & I hear rumblings again----same old, same old....

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

90° in the shade & humid. We are supposed to have a heat wave this week, getting up to the mid-90's in Seattle, so it will hit 100° easy at my place. Water water water - glad I have a well.
Time to get the doggie pool out for the girls...

South Hamilton, MA

Nat sure about weather in the garden--very nice at the iris auction in SE MA.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

How did the auction go?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

we had a nasty thunderstorm last night... lots of lightning... might get another this afternoon... 66 now going up to 85

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

In the 70s already, very humid and overcast right now. Rained again overnight. More t-storms and showers forecast for this afternoon, oh joy. Already broke the record for most rain ever in July. Weeds love it.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Currently 64 and sunny, going up to 85. Too bad weeds like the rain. I swear they grow faster than flowers!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

hot and humid

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I think maybe Jan(Grampapa) and Willie were in or near the area the tornado touched down. I have been reading about it, they say no injuries but you got to wonder how the gardens are! I hope both are OK and anyone else who lives in that area!!

This is a link to the video, at first it shows the tunnel but then it shows the tree's and aftermath!

Wow---nasty tornado! The storm last night hit just to the west & north of us---all we heard was the thunder. Going to be a warm & humid week---heading out now to do more weeding.

South Hamilton, MA

j-2: iris auction went well--no sign of the predicted rain, wind & hail.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

That was the nastiest storm we ever drove thru, we were coming back from my bros in south Jersey. Even with the wipers on super fast you couldn't see anything. Horrible. No damage at our house but the firetrucks were pulling out of the development behind us when we pulled in. I'll have to drive around and see what happened.
Chance of thunderstorms everyday all week long.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

man it's dark out this morning... had to look at the clock to make sure the time was right 68 now going up to 88... possible thunderstorms again today

Falmouth, ME(Zone 5b)

High 80's and humid for today... but GLORIOUS sunshine!

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

same here - the storms missed here yesterday

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Low overcast is burning off and the sun is out. Still humid, 70s.

South Hamilton, MA

Yesterday was too hot, today predicted to be the same.

Thomaston, CT

The storms hit us again yesterday----more pounding rain---today, hot, humid, & storms again!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Definition of the 3 H's today. ICK!

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

temp says 80, but I think the lake breeze is keeping it cooler. I hate 3H days, haven't had any of those yet!

South Hamilton, MA

We are on our second.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

wow is it foggy out... I can barely see the house across the street... 69 now going up to 82... this is a joy to read

High: 82 °F RealFeelŪ: 94 °F
A morning t-storm, humid; afternoon t-storms, some severe; thunderstorms can cause flash flooding

Falmouth, ME(Zone 5b)

65 right now and foggy with sun starting to burn through. Could be 86 today.. HHH (hazy, hot and humid).

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Low overcast, 70s already, very humid still and dead calm. Should hit 90 today.

Thomaston, CT

High 80's here, once the overcast is gone---trying to get into the veggie garden for a little weeding, but still very spongy in there.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

It rained lightly this morn. now it's just overcast. Chance of showers all day.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

It is SOOOOOOO thick out there heat index is 91 72% humidity
Storms missed us yesterday and look like they are just to the north of us today.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

miserable here too - although it is ok as he veggy garden needs this

was out sanding window trim and had to stop after finishing 4 - one was high on the second story, ladder on a slope so it made it feel 20 feet higher, ropes holding it in place, 4x4's under the low end of the ladder with stakes in the ground to keep them from moving - decided to sand, prime and do both finish coats today on that one - wife would have killed me if the fall didn't if she were here. although i think she got here revenge - resting in the hammock one end came out of the tree and i fell pretty good - did not drop the beer, only minor spillage :)

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Nice save!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Could have been much worse, wouldn't want to waste a good beer.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

thx! it was only bud light - still it is almost beer.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

nice save!!!... the rain is crazy here... nasty thunder & lighting too

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

We missed one batch except for a light sprinkle so far, so don't send it up here. Some people west and north of me are getting dumped on too. I don't mind missing one round of rain thank-you very much. Keep your head down and send it out to sea.

South Hamilton, MA

Heavy rain has moved nhorth of us into NH. Don't want more rain but would like lower humidity, I can't work outside when so ho & humid. Did clear a couple spots where DH planted a couple irises which friends brought to the sale. ISM (our club) members help each other out with specific cultivars.

Thomaston, CT

It rained steadily from about 2:30 to 5:30----raining again---good thing that ladder held, Bill---the hammock was bad enough!
