The rain went around us today. We'll see how tomorrow goes. They're calling for chance of rain for Sun. and I have a horse show to take DD to. Grr.

T-storm just rolled on through. Dumped more rain. Not too bad as far as wind and lightening, a couple close bolts buts now it's moved on and sun is trying to appear. Temp is 71 now. Don't know if the humid air was swept away by the storm will have to go out and check. More storms forecast for this afternoon. Okay I checked, still icky sticky but the sky is a brilliant clear blue so that's new for this week.
Bill - direct the mosquitoes to the rocks you need placed. I have instructed those here to get their A**es in gear & water for me while I'm at work.
Another day of humidity & supposed to hit 103° at my place. I am losing plants despite my efforts at keeping them hydrated. Plants just not used to these temps here - wussy plants. The tomatoes, beans, peppers, cukes, eggplant & herbs are loving this weather. Stores ran out of fans a few days back. I see AC in my future...

everyone that gets bit up by mosquitoes... not sure if it's just a coincidence or not.. but I started taking vitamin B everyday... and haven't had a bite since... I am usually covered in them... I have been sitting out on the deck until dark every night it wasn't raining... and all good so far

hot and humid here as well - have a lot to do out there today - mow the lawn, sand and repair 3 window sills, and get my bike ride in before going to softball tonight - need to hit the elliptical right now if i plan to get all of this in - how much water do you drink in a day?

I don't think anything will help where IrisMA is. When I worked summer stock theatre there, we used to paint outside with hooded sweatshirts and the hood tied tight to get relief from the mosquitoes, no matter how hot it was.
Started out promising with sunshine but clouded up and now...yep more rain.
Pouring rain at the moment. I think an orangy area is over us on the map. DH says he was able to finish clearing the weeds in one area this morning. The weeds are dreadful. Weather map says lower humidity tomorrow. I HOPE so!

Any good rumors for the sox? A wash out here too. Bambi thought he was safe because it was raining, nope.. uh uh.. no way Jose'. He got the mad gardener with pink clogs barking dog display, rain or no rain. He ran away very fast. :)
sox just got victor martinez from the indians for three pitchers - unfortunatley justin masterson was one of them, he is a pretty good pitcher and ral nice kid. they also swapped adam laroche for casey kaufman both first baseman which i do not understand at all.
OMG get the lifeboats out. Coming down like crazy. A little gusty but no T&L yet. Makes me happy. Conn had a tornado warning and these storms were quite nasty earlier. Looks like mostly very, very heavy rain now. Woo!

Was out walking the dogs in pouring rain---it got so dark, couldn't see the path---got home, & heard about the tornado warnings.
