Hi Donna, yea, she is back to her old self after the surgery.I thought that she would do nothing but sleep and not eat.Oh, was i wrong we come home and i put her down and she had her behine in the air wagging her tail wanting to play. That is when i said she is back. She is eating good and drinking water, she did not get sick at all.
Here is a picture of her little tummy.
Poor baby.... She will be fine in no time... If she is going allot and all of a sudden looks like crap give her some karo syrup as her blood sugar may drop all of a sudden.... We see that after surgery.... Was it a laser spay or regular one? They recoup is less pain after a laser spay.... She is going to be fine and she is sure a cutie.... I have five of those little ones... Gotta love them... :-)
Hugs,
Susan
Cody, dogs and cats have a higher tolerance for pain. For sure now, you won't have to worry about diapers for Mocha.
Ladies, if we're getting another.. it will be another Chi. Never had a Chi, until Lola came along. Kel says he would want a bigger dog.. but Chis are so manageable. Ali the oldest one is about 35 pounds, and I have a hard time carrying him around.
Juanita, when we got Lola, Ali's already 10 years old. Already an old man, and not too keen on entertaining Lola. But Lola has plenty of playmates with the kitties.
You're the 3rd one to say that Outback's prime rib is good, LK. Sad that anything that tastes that good is bad for us. When I order prime rib, I always ask for the end cut, as is. Yummy.. a l'il horse radish and some au jus..
By the way, how's your dad doing?
Yeah, we see that pride in your eyes Susan!! Your son's certainly very good looking.
Saluting Sgt. Matthew Francis. Thank you for dedicating yourself to the U.S.Marines.
Trisha, I am so happy to read the good news on your Uncle Al. As kind as a person Doris was, yep, she deserved a good memorial.
Oops.. Kel just raised the question on big dogs... what do you all think of German Shepherds?
Gonna take care of this sinus..
oh my baby millie is gonna have her surgery some time soon :(
Jaye tell Kel German Shepard are good dogs too my Harley is German Shepard lab mix and Doug just loves her
but then he likes german shepards anyway
Thank you Phyllis. It won't be anytime soon he'll be getting a big dog!!
I'll stick to Chihuahuas!!!
I am very proud of all of my sons but Matt is special as a Marine... Matt and his family are heading to Hawaii in November then he will more then likely have to go back to hell...
All breeds have a special place for different people.. They are all so lovable but I agree that Chihuahua's are extra special... My five are the bomb...LOL Lost all my pictures when computer crashed but will try to post a few of the kids down the road....
Do you all think that you could dmail me how to cook the egg plant and squash? I would be very grateful... Ok off to bed for me....
Hugs to you all,
sue
Peace comes at a very hefty price, Susan. We who can't serve, can only pray for those that do..
Will work on recipes for you Susan. Have a good night, sweetie.
Hi Susan, thanks,it was a regular one.I give Mocha Nutri-Cal,it is a high calorie palatable dietary supplement for dogs and cats, you get through your vet.She has not been to hyper all she just wants is to be held all the time. She is very spoiled, she will be better in 10 days.I have always wanted a tiny Chihuahua and now i have her.I wouldn't want it any other way.She is only 6 months old and still a baby,so she is pretty much just a lap dog because that is the only thing that makes her happy make is being in your lap.

Mocha is such sweet heart....I would love to get a little dog like that...
Good night Cody and Mocha....
Trisha I'm sorry about the passing of your neighbor but was pleased that you said she had a nice service. I have noticed lately that a lot of families are not having services due to the cost. That is such a shame but understandable in this economy.
Phyllis I have not had a German Shepherd, but my Mom did before I was born. My Dad was in the Sheriff's dept. and he had a police dog that he had trained. My Mom still talks about that dog 50 years later! She loved him. I would like to get one, but my DH has that hang up that a lot of people have about shepherds.
Juanita
Good Saturday ladies!
You're up early Barb and Juanita.
Coffee's ready.. crispy bacon, scrambled eggs and wheat toasts for breakfast. Enjoy yourselves!
Juanita, what hang up is that? There is also the Malinois or the Belgium Shepherd that Kel thinks he'd like to have. But the cost is too much.
You all have a good day today.. see you all later this evening!
Ooh, btw... hope your back has healed, Juanita.. okay.. I'm off!
Morning everyone! Time to rise and shine, water those plants, before the sun gets to them!
Hope you all have a wonderful week-end.
LK
Morning Ladies,
Mom and I worked on fish ponds yesterday. Not what I had planned. I was going to clean out an old shed to make into a storage shed for some of my stuff. When I opened it up I spotted 4 hornets nest. Got out the spray, spayed the heck out of them the ran like hl to get out of their way. Took about 3 times then knocked the nest down. So that is when I decided to work on fish ponds. Tired of looking at the mess in the yard. Mom just can't do as much as she used to. I keep forgetting that she is 82 and tires really fast. We took her fish out of the pond, put in with mine then cleaned the pond and moved it. Will be putting in 2 more 250 gallon ponds on each side of this one. I'm going to plant some Cannas that I got from BJ behind it. Plus other stuff but don't know what yet. May put some brugs in there too. There are 60 fish in that pond. Mom has another pond that we will be cleaning out after we get the new ones in.
Today, I'm hoping to clean out the shed. I need to do this so I can take stuff that I won't be using and put in there so that I have more room in mine for my crafting stuff, because I don't have enough room in my craft room for everything. What I really need to do is add on about 6 feet to the back of the house to make the rooms bigger, lol.
Here is a pix of the pond, this is just temporary.
Got through with watering LK. Next.. to take a shower and get ready for Kel's weekend shopping!
Good job Cindy! Maybe you could grow some agapanthus along one side as they love wetness. Cannas do too, but be careful with brugs though. Not fun to tackle hornets' nest. Yep, either smoke them out or that wonderful long distance spraying!
I'm not 82 and already feeling 90! Yes, definitely a wise move back, as your mum will really need you.
One thing about adding more room.. you can never get enough space when you're a crafter!!
Now, have you finished with the feet stepping stones? Would love to see them once you're through embellishing them!
Off to the shower!
Oh man Jaye,
i haven't even touched them since i poured them. But i was looking at them yesterday and thinking how I would really like to get them done. But I have so many other things I need to get done first. I've got to make room in my craft room so that I can finish the doll house and start sewing in Barbie wardrobe plus all the other sewing swaps I'm in,lol. Yea my daughter had forgotten that I told her the house was going to have to be a Christmas present, she was so looking forward to seeing it today. Taylor is 7 today, they are going to Sunsplash then we will have cake and ice cream this evening.
Here are some of the fish. They are about 6 or black ones so you can't see them to well.
Happy Birthday Taylor!
Wow.. plenty of fish there. One can get mersmerized just staring at them!
Before you know it, Christmas will soon be here Cindy. Me too have 'overcommitted' myself to sewing swaps :D
It's gonna be pre-tt-y quiet today.
Took a pic of the Brazilian Sky flower racemes. It's also known as Duranta. I have 2 growing in pots for the past 2 years. This year, I decide to plant them inground. Wish me luck as they are tropical, zone 9 babies. Kel says he'll dig them out for me in the fall if I chose not to take that risk.
Jaye the "hang up" with the shepherds is the bad rep they sometimes have for "turning" on people or being mean. I personally don't think that animals come preloaded with that. They learn it from their owners. :0)
Juanita
Afternoon to most of you, good morning Cindy!
Jaye we had a Shepherd Pup....they are really smart and really active! Loved him but his favorite chew toy was my sofa....we decided to let him live with friends who had a farm....at the time we lived in a very small house in town and couldn't let him run outside as about the time we got him (had just lost our previous dog) we found out someone was poisoning dogs in the area....he did well on the farm and turned into a really great dog.
Cindy, Love your Pond....I want to do more here also....next pond project will be one in the back yard.
Waving Barb, LK and Juanita.....
I know what you mean Barb.... but then I am not a big fan of Funeral/Memorial Services to begin with...it has become such an expensive racket. I figure if close friends and family want to get together and remember the person that is a good thing...but I always remember my Great Uncle Bill when I see all the flowers and the "expensive show"......Aunt D. treated him awful for most of their marriage...then when he passed she put on the biggest most expensive funeral you can imagine and really carried on....I agree with my dad...save the money for something useful, put what is left of me out with the trash when I am gone, just be nice to me while I am still here......
Have to go to the shop and take photos today, then down to Little Rock to arrange parking for tomorrow's bike ride....and should get a few things done in here before it gets too warm.
Well, need to get some things done before it gets too hot...talk to you later.
edited to put things in order...

This is a local nursery that has a good sale on some bulbs. I got some Dahlias for $3.00 a piece. I was talking to them about milky spores. I thought someone had said that they used it to control grubs in the yards to keep the moles away. But it is for Japanese beetles. We don't have those in CA and that is why we can't get milky spores here.

Hi everyone.......enjoy your day.....i'm going to watch alittle tv while my son is a sleep. It is too hot outside, the high for today is 100. So if it is HOT HOT HOT your way try to stay cool.
HOT it is yeas we are under heat advisory till the sun goes down for sure and they have said it is up to 103-105
Well on the dogs of any size there is good and bad
make sure there isn't IN breeding meaning father and daughter that leads to mental issues and some health issues.
As far as the stereo types well they are wrong on them and you can quote German shepherds, dobbies, rots, and really any dog it is all ion how they are raised and treated....if you train them as guard dogs then that is what they
any dog can become protective of their family or one person even a poodle
Look at the puppies, flowers, and fish! I'm glad that Mocha's doing good, she is a sweet little thing.
Hi Crissy, thanks, yea, she is doing real good. She is a spoiled rotten little Divia.
Well, ladies i'm off to cook some Cube Steaks. So talk at you later.......
Trisha, I'm with you on memorial services. When I'm gone, it will be easy for me. All my blood relatives are overseas. I had told Kel that I wished to be cremated, no fanfare, just a 'nod' in church that I am with the Lord! No reason to shed any tear. If you don't respect me now, why wait till I'm dead :D
Cindy, I am in love with Orientals and Asiatics too. They are so fragrant aren't they? Will get more next year. I had intentionally missed the co-op this year.
I agree wholeheartedly. Unless, like Phyllis said, their aggression is due to inbreeding.. we are responsible for the animals' behaviour.
So, Cody... you're cooking again! That's good for you! What veges are you having with your cube steaks?
I'm having left over beef jambalaya. Kel's chowing down on pizza.
Synda.. hope you're doing okay.. post a smiley face!
Hi Jaye,i cooked potatoes and cornbread with the steak.
Well good night everyone.......sleep well.......
Sounds good Cody....
Good night every one... have a wonderful Sunday.
Greetings from Costa Rica.
